  • This man just provided one of the best arguments for sequential transmissions that I've ever heard. That was a doctorate level thesis.

    @Syndicate555@Syndicate5559 ай бұрын
    • Yep, it really depends how you drive it. Of course you can slam through gears with no clutch with a sequential, but it's honestly not viable for a street car. The dog gears won't last if you're doing that all the time. To drive a sequential on the street regularly you gotta use the clutch, and auto rev matching can make them super smooth. Plus with a smart computer you can easily enable or disable rev matching if you want that fully "manual" experience, minus the H pattern.

  • Anything and i mean anything with 1600 on a street is batshit crazy 🤣 I couldn’t even fathom it. I have a 10th anniversary edition 2003 cobra that’s making 440 to the wheels. My brother had a 2012 zr1 that puts down just over 8. I inherited the car after his untimely passing 2 years ago and the car is absolutely terrifying to drive beyond a leisurely drive but the sentimental value to me is also terrifying. I couldn’t imagine mashing through 1600.

  • Jesus...what a piece of work that is. Fair play to the person/people who installed and programmed that transmission and paddle shifters, not an easy task I'd imagine. Although they really seem to know what they are at down in Australia and I take my hat off to them for not being afraid to continue to evolve, trying new things and to keep pushing what the R34 is capable of. I suppose it helps that Australian's have known about and been getting so many Skylines imported since the R32 came on the scene. They seem to be immune to the pressure you have started to see in so many other places, trying to keep the car in cotton wool and in de-humidified garages, just concerned about not "damaging" or affecting the cars value....forgetting that what made cars like these so famous and legendary in the first place, tuning them and using them. Keep it up lads 👍

    • Australians have been getting skylines since the beginning prince ! All the different skylines came to Australia often with and without badge changes The RB platform came in Skyline r30-31 in Australia In 4x4 SUV’s and in the Holden commodore Not to mention the r32 33 34 (in two and 4 door) Stagea And other 4 door Nissans cars as seen in the rest of Asia we got “grey” imports until the tax laws changed Cheers
