Man City dropped points after drawing 1-1 with Chelsea as Erling Haaland had a day to forget after missing all TEN of his shots! Is the Norwegian starting to struggle?
And Liverpool continue to steamroll everyone in front of them, but can they carry their form into the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea? The lads lay down their predictions…
Don’t miss all that, plus:
🤔 Did Hojund mean his second goal against Luton?!
😬Should Kalvin Phillips go to Euro 2024?
🏴 Who else deserves a spot in the England squad?
😲Is Kylian Mbappe heading to the Premier League?!

If Saka isnt world class because Arsenal havent made it over the line, then Bellingham also isnt world class?
By the same argument Harry Kane, Son Heung Min, and Alan Shearer are never a world class player then?
Of course Bellingham isn't world class. When did he become world class?
@@Emilian92 before getting injured, Bellingham was in the conversation for best player in the world. of course he’s world class
@@seyong01my Shearer won the prem with Blackburn
Same as Harry Kane, since he has never won a trophy
foster bro...saka record against big 6 is unreal....just go and look at stats....
He sounds dumb
The guy was pushing so hard. Foden sitting the bench of title winning team against saka 😂😂
Don’t tell me you expect these idiots to actually do any research. Nothing he said applies to foden or even Kane but it’s what saka needs to be WC 😂
I don't get all this talk about Foden dragging City over the line. He's been a bit part player for City over all these seasons. I can name many players who have been more important to City's success over the last few seasons. It's mind boggling
I totally agree
Totally agree - foden has never been a key member of the city team throughout his years
Agreed, it's so false and disingenuous. I looks a bit flashier and people get lost in that. But watch Foden when it matters, guy looks lost.
This is his first season being a nailed on starter.
Unfortunately it's that typical combo: English Player + Young + Attacking Role + Plays for one of the top sides = Has to be spoken about as if they are going to be the next Messi or Ronaldo. It's a reoccuring pattern.
People forget at 17/18 years oldĺ Saka was one of the best Arsenal players. He played LB, LW, 10, RW and did well on every postion
I prefer Saka over foden and I don’t care if people say they think foden is better but it just annoys me when they say he’s “clear” of saka because that’s just disrespectful
I don't see it as disrespectful as I think Foden IS just ahead of Saka too. But to some degree I do question whether it's fair to even compare them. Some of the reasons why I believe Foden is ahead of Saka is he because he has far more international experience with City and has successfully played in many more positions including scoring too. More importantly right now is that Foden has had experience dealing with being man marked by two or three. This is Saka's first real season dealing with being nullified - its a good experience, he will deal with it and be better for it.
@@Lioness_UTV Foden spent his entire career at one of the best, if not the best club in the world. Saka started his career as a LB at a club that lost it's way. Would Foden have the same stats if he was playing at Arsenal? Saka is also younger and has almost 3X the goals for national team. Saka's breakout season in the PL was better than Foden's best season of his career. Hes also played as Right/Left/Center Midfield, Right/Left Winger, and LB. He is at LEAST as good as Foden.
@@Lioness_UTVyou clearly don’t watch Saka. Every team at least double marks him.
Saka has 12 goals and 7 assists this season and Foden is having his best season by far and is only on 8 goals and 7 assists, if anything Saka is clear of foden because everyone is quick to say how poor of a season Saka is having.
Different players really, why do we have to compare
The argument of being in a winning team to be world class means that we should call Havertz world class for scoring the champions league final winning goal or call Ake world class cos he was in the treble winning team. Awful argument
And it also would mean Kane isn’t World Class because he’s never shown up in finals or won a major trophy. It’s just laughably lazy analysis
Ake is brilliant
@DarthQueefious not saying he isn't very good but he's definitely not world class
So if Watto thinks success equals being world class does that mean Kane isn’t world class? Poor take
His point is if you're playing and winning internationally and in the champions league and all your domestic cup competitions it's much easier to back up q comment on being world class. Saka is incredible but arsenal have only played in the champions league with him in the team this season and he's only won an FA cup. In my opinion he's up there in the world class argument but to some lack of CL football and trophies for club and Country take him out of the conversation
Awful take 😂
It's quite funny really, first you ask if Saka can drag his team over the line, then you mention Phoden and his titles. When did Phoden ever drag Man City over the line? I don't think he was even a big part of all those trophies.
Phoden 😂
Then to compare Foden to KDB too. He's nowhere near that level and there are many city players who are better than him who never get the credit
Haaland, Gundogun, KDB, Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Mahrez were the main reason City won a treble too
How the hell do people not understand that you can be a world class player in a non world class team? Are you going to call Ake or Grealish world class because he's won everything at city? That argument makes no sense.
their argument might not be right but the intent is....foden is atm a better player hes scoring hattricks in the prem (even in a derby)and saka hasnt scored even one....fodens also able to play on the left right centrally or in the midfield and still finds a way to score or be heavily involved...hes just the better player rn...no hate to saka tho
but they are💀
@aryanulhas9775 If you use that stats then Saka is ahead of him which is why Ferdinand did not use goals and assist as the key stats. Use trophies and Saka immediately falls short
@@robertemmanueljonjo2889 Not really. Over the last 2.5 PL seasons: Saka: 54 non pen g/a in 8000 minutes = 0.60 g/a per 90 Foden: 46 non pen g/a in 6000 minutes - 0.67 g/a per 90 And Foden hasn't always played as an inside forward, he has played in midfield & as a traditional LW
@@DarthQueefious Based on this particular stat you provided, why would Foden be considered world class and Saka not? I'm slightly curious why you picked only the past two and half seasons.?
Harry kane aint world class then?
Or arguably Steven Gerrard or Alan Shearer
Pen merchant 🤷🏼♂️
Arsenal’s injury list has been and still is as long as Liverpool’s. Timber, Partey, Vieria, Tomiasu, Jesus and Zinchenko are still out. ESR just returned. Nobody mentions that.
Liverpool currently have: Trent, Matip, Jota, jones, Thiago, szobozlia, bajetic, Allison, tsmiskas. Added to The fact we had players out for the tournaments in December and many of these players and others have been injured numerous times
Out of that list only Jesus and Zinchenko are guaranteed starters, hardly conparable to Liverpool's injuries
@@LumpShortsyou’ve just proven your football knowledge to be very poor, because when fit, Timber and Partey both started until injured, Jesus and Zinch obvs important and Tomiyasu is one of our most important players due to being able to play in any of the back 4 to a brilliant level, and even ESR brings us a different type of midfielder that we need and has started some games too… so ignorant to just say “only starters are Jesus and Zinch”…
True, but they all play a lot more mins than Bajetic & Thiago. I could even argue that if they were all fit both Timber and Partey would be in our starting 11. Timber/Gabi/Saliba/White/Odegaard/Partey/Rice/Martinelli/Jesus/Saka
@@LumpShorts Timber should /would be a starter, he just been injuried all year
When will people leave the agenda aside and accept that Bukayo Saka is a generational talent with what he has done and continues to do for England and Arsenal and all at an age of 22.
Big facts. The kid was a lb for the first two seasons aswel. Even then you just had that feeling that he was going places.
He's a good player. Could possibly reach world class level if he moves to City or Madrid within the next few years.
Are you okay now?😂😂😂@@davec3974

If Foden took the risk of moving like Palmer he'd be at a club where he would be able to really shine his quality. With Saka people keep changing the goal posts for what he needs to do. Foden hasn't done anything individually outstanding. It isn't his fault he plays for City but he didn't exactly have any stand out performances during their treble last season. At least Saka you can count many times just how influential and important he has been in games
Foden has 5 premier leagues at 23 and featured heavily in probably the best team in the world since he was 17. Saka is no where near Foden.
@shanecole1120 I like how you brought up nothing about his individual stats or any highlight performances because there aren't many to pick from and his stats are underwhelming. Individual performances are my argument here not team accomplishments
@@shanecole1120😂😂
@@shanecole1120remember when foden dyed his hair blonde like Gazza for the euros, only to be left warming the bench 🤣
@@SuperAfrolexdid you watch Phil foden in the 20/21 season he literally played every game for city.he even started in the champions League finals they lost to Chelsea ..his performance against Dortmund and PSG was outstanding..the problem is pep doesn't care Abt individual stats...he just wants to win every game even if u score a hatrick in the last game u will still be.benched in the next...
Just an FYI, I don't know if someone else said this, but Internacional that Alisson played for is in Brazil, not the one in Argentina.
there’s not even a team named that in Argentina 😂 just an error anyways no big deal
@@culmerm6213 shit you're right. I was thinking of Independiente. My bad.
Saka equalled last season sadio mane’s best prem season for G/A and has currently got the 76 G/A in 159 games compared to gareth bale who got 75 G/A in 166 games… Saka is clear… he is also one of only 7 players to reach 75 G/A before 23 including fabregas, fowler, owen, ronaldo, rooney and now saka
Maybe because it’s easier these days and football wasn’t focused on stats back then, Saka is no where near any of those players

talking about birds in hand, we have a saying in our country "Bolje vrabec v roki kot golob na strehi." as it means "Better sparrow in hand than pigeon on roof." and it means - expresses the need to accept the worse of the two options, if easier or only achievable; expresses that choosing something new carries the risk of losing something else
Goldbridge forgets we’ve seen him kick a ball lol
Bukayo Saka has more G/A than Gareth Bale entire PL career in 10 less games. He’s got double the G/A of Phil foden at 22
They have the same G/A (76) and Saka's played roughly 300 less minutes (more equal to 3.5 matches, not 10).
24:40 only two clubs won a club last year in England. Not true man United won the carabao cup. Mark is actually so forgetful lol
Maybe they ment European Cups.
Could also talk about how well Forest played, neco Williams murdering the right wing. CHO on the score sheet 3 games in a row, MGW hold up play. Murillos defending, Elangas runs. Awoniyi and Dominguez link up. Kalvin Phillips was booked for simulation and then got booked for a high foot on MGW.
He was booked for a push on Dominguez, not simulation. Also they'll never talk about Forest much, foster hates us! There's never been a Forest shirt in the back :(

I literally don't watch post match shows, I wait for this show, big ups Ben, Wato and Mark.
Neither Saka or Foden are world class. Terms get banded around so loosely now. Both could become world class. Lets give them a bloody chance to...
So by that standard Harry Kane isn’t world class because he has won nothing? What a stupid argument
Totally here for the ne Rhino/Jamie camera angle... Love this show!
Excuse me? Do it in the big games? Did Saka not score the first goal against Liverpool in the latest 3-1 win? Not a big game? Flip accept Saka is world class and starts in the England team over foden
foden is the better player mate hes scored two prem hattricks one against man utd and he is so versatile....lw rw cf cam cm he can do it all
@aryanulhas9775 I saw Nicolas Jackson score a Hatrick this season mate. I'm putting him nowhere near world class 😅
Loving the perspective from the behind-the-camera crew.
Hats off to you gentlemen and your backup team for the most intelligent and insightful Premier League football show on any media. I look forward to it more than any other.
this is foden's first season as a main player because of KDB getting injured. He was never a main player at City and thats a fact.
love the new camera in the back, keep on evolving !.
Love this new format, including the boys behind the cam 😮💨
Scrolled too far to see this comment! Really like the PictureInPicture!
Here at the start and already know it's a banger because it is always a banger❤
I love this show. But the Saka disrespect is crazy
player career path question - Mark: “ooh you’re good at those” EVERY TIME is fucking brilliant. i love it every time. 😂
Great show as always, putting smiles and laughter on my face and still have moments of serious talk about football. Btw, how's foden better than saka when all the shed that they will start saka over foden?
I like the input from the other lads and the camera is a nice touch also
They're both great players. As a city fan I see more of Foden but I can't deny Saka's brilliance. Also, they play quite differently. I enjoy watching them both for different reasons. At the end of the day they're both great at what they do for their team
This is the best show to watch! Love all you guys. Never a dull moment. Good win Ben!
I was at Sheffield game up close for the Holgate tackle and I genuinely thought mitoma wasn't getting back up thankfully he did but it looked like an awful challenge.
Ben asking for Saka to do it against the big teams but ignoring the fact that he’s got 14 goals and 6 assists against Liverpool, Spurs, City, United & Chelsea. I don’t know what more he’s supposed to do to be considered in the WC category? People ask for more or demand he does X, Y, Z, he does it and then the parameters change. It’s bizarre
Only one of the two is a nailed on starter for club and country and has been named both national and club player of the year on multiple occasions already. Playing for a more successful club doesn’t mean you’re a better player.
Ben saying saka don't turn up on big games is mad. Scored 5 in 2 season against Liverpool. Scored against united and Chelsea and spurs multiple times in the last 2 seasons
Saka has a great record vs the big 6, do some fact checking first
Loved seeing Ben win 3 in a row however I have a Question Then only midfielder in the Premier league 100 club, Gerrard has 120 Premier league goals in 504 games while Scholes has 107 Premier league goals in 499 games, did you forget these 2 exist or do you not consider them midfielders 🤣
New life goal: to have Dave Watson call me “Pal”
48:09 “ohhhfarken hell, never never never never 😂😂😂
Saka's G/A has increased year on year; he was top 3 best players for England at the Euros and WC; he's played LB, LW, left 8 and RW; he at 19 and ESR carried Arsenal till we got our team going. He's a mentality monster. The Foden/Saka argument shouldn't even be a thing. Foden is just more aesthetic and people project what he could be blinding them from what he actually is atm.
class vid as usual mate
Check the Holgate tackle on Hojbjerg a couple of years ago, carbon copy of this one.
Saka and Foden are on par, but Saka has more/better experiences which edges him above.
No he doesn’t 😂
@@Jhgalajs Yeah your right, one of them definitely doesn't get subbed on for country and club more than the other giving 3,000+ more minutes over their career im just talking shit.. Not to mention a bounce back from missing that Pen. Im a Welsh Spurs fan I have no right to defend him.
4 things, I got the first 3 questions right, and 3 teams from England won a trophy last season, Man Utd won the Carabao cup yeah?, I googled that Internacional club because I only thought Inter Milan were that and wanted to look up about the other Internacional club and they're a Brazilian club from Allison's country and I thought you'd talk about the Spurs game, I really enjoyed that game and Wolves and Joao Gomes and Neto's great performance.
Mbappè’s contract reportedly is 20 million euros per season for 5 seasons. That’s €383k per week, WAY less than PSG’s wages where it was 1 mil a week. Still Madrid’s highest earner though.
Plus 128 mil signing on fee….
You do know that's net salary, clubs pay gross salary for tax purposes which is double the amount so it's close to 700 k
Here especially for the quiz🤩
Saka has more goals and assists than Foden in a worse team, so Saka is better
Ans waaaaaay more consistent.
We literally just came asking this yesterday 👀
Lampard isn't the only midfielder to score 100 PL goals. Unfair question. Void the quiz 😂
As a neutral, I don't think its rocket science. We are seeing a talented group of young players getting to know each other and learning how to play in the Prem, under pressure in different situations. The other BIG aspect to this is coaching, tactics and the team turning those tactics into reality. That all takes time IF the coaching is rock solid. I expect Chelsea to continue to ride a roller coaster 🎢 this season which isn't terrible its just part of their learning journey, next season is when it gets serious. That being said, my biggest question mark isn't on the players its on Poch. I really don't rate him highly as a winning coach and he hasn't proven to me yet that he has strong in-game instincts.
West Ham and Man City weren’t the only English clubs to win a cup last season, Man Utd won the Carabao Cup
watto is class what a guy
Seen the shirt Ben, I thought for a slight second you may just talk about AFC Bournemouth…. Someone will surely at some point!?
I know I’m alone with this opinion. I’d rather see another player like Martinelli on the right side over Saka. In certain situations he holds up play instead of pushing to keep the play going. Because Arsenal don’t have a big striker they have to rely on wingers to make plays. Reminds me of city before they got Haaland. Ball always sits on the wing hoping for an opening to shoot
To people who think world-class player has to win trophy, Harry Kane is arguably one of the best in his position but have not won a cup in his career. However I think Saka still has a lot more potential to fill, therefore I will not say that he's world-class just yet.
I like the behind the set camera 👍
It comes down to one thing: Football narratives. The same way Gabriel has performed better than Saliba this season, but somehow people rate Saliba higher in weekly ratings. There's a narrative that Foden is technically better than Saka. It may be true, but I don't see it.
best football talk show on youtube big up mark and ben
You know the rules
& Watto 👏
Honestly think arteta has done an unbelievable job at arsenal and reminds me of something pep done with city but in the early years
I believe they’re two different players and both have the potential to be world-class players.
A day ago it was reported that Mbappe agreed to a pay cut to go to Madrid.
There a few midfielders in the 100 club, if you mean the 100/100 club then giggs is also in that one, although the answer was still obvious.
Mark, that is a great take
Ben,what’s happened to the score predictions,,with Goldbridge?
This argument was held twice last year and Saka won both times. Saka was better in the league until his form dropped and better for the national team. People will have this conversation every time foden score a goal. Saka could've had 2 hat tricks in a row but because of his importance he gets subbed of at 60min to rest 😂😂😂
Dave and Ben would be dangerous if they had a brain between them. Foden doesnt grab games, and has never grabbed games, he usually tags on a 5th goal from the bench. KDB and Rodri grab games. Foden is aesthetically pleasing to watch because hes very technical. Sakas workrate, decision making, defending, tackling is elite. Bukayo Saka is the only player to rank top 10 in all of these categories this PL season. Goals Assists Big chances created Key passes Final third passes Crosses Touches in opp box Duels won Corners won
like the Jamie cam!
How is mark forgetting united won a trophy last season
That tackle happened last season Andy Carroll on erickson short memories
Thanks for not talking about spurs this week ❤
Watto X Goldbridge X Ben The 3 musketeers!!
Foden is an all around better player than Saka. Saka may be a better Winger.. MAY be. But both are still young and will continue to improve. Both great players. Don't consider either "world class", though. Surely that assumes they walk into any team in the world and would be a starter?
I switched Saka captain for haaland last minute 😢 only a haaland hattrick against brentford will save me
Not to sure people know what world class is, it’s your individual performance not the teams, if you score 30G and assist 10 in the prem then that’s a world class season for you even if your team finished 8th, Saka is world class
kind of hypocritical to say Onana should jump out to make forceful contact with a player yet we’ve been constantly reminded about a pen wolves should’ve had first game of the season for exactly that, just tired of always hearing Onana this that yet there’s goalies who were bought by current managers at other big teams who are currently on the bench
I'm a Newcastle fan & you saying we could potentially sign Mbappe is ridiculous. With FFP, we can't even afford Bloody Dominic Solanke!...
Saka is a pen merchant, Foden adds a lot more to the team and thats as a Liverpool fan
Great debate guys 👏👏👏Subbed !!
I wonder if the way Grealish partied in the summer has changed pep’s opinion of him.
He’s average asf
anfield we lucky???? goldbridge bro , were u drunk? we fully deserved a point at anfield
Nah, we lucky on that day. We didn’t concede in a 5v2 situation.
The saying is correct. A bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush
Look at Goldbridge rubbing shoulders with ex pros, got a gig on talk sport, smashing it on United Stand. Then look at DT…
Hey Ben mate. I want you make an apology to Hojlund and United cause at the start of the season you were questioning him and United getting him over Kane. I for one think it was 100% the right thing to do
Neither are world class, Salah is world class, saka can’t fill his boots. Thats what world class in his position and he is not at that level yet, and he is only 2 seasons into being a top talent showing his potential. People need to stop pressuring this kid give him room to grow he will be world class one day if he can fill salahs boots.
Doku almost never crosses it and tries to take on players too much and is quite obvious in doing so.
Named after father question needed to be better worded, first part, England midfielder with 100 caps could've been Bobby Charlton, David Beckham and Frank Lampard, 100 premier league club the last two, it certainly doesn't pay to jump in early.
38:00 didn't know the players got game stats right after the game
Only 3 worldclass players in the PL, KDB, Salah and Haaland.
24:38 didn’t man united win the carabao cup last season?
I keep seeing this thing about how Saka hasn't won anything and hence he's not world class or that he hasn't shown up in big games. What a load of waffle. Look at his stats against the big 6, most G/A in the UCL this year. You can only perform in the scenarios you have, and that's what he's done. Harry Kane has never won anything, so by that logic he's not world class? The definition moves every time and overall there's no consistency in media.
Loving the podcast stiil guys, tell Tom to not speak that close to the mike haha
