People completely miss how Declan Rice got into the West Ham team, released from Chelsea as a youngster and was never considered one of the best even at West Ham. If you read about it, you'd understand why he wouldn't take the piss, he has a lot of friends at the London Stadium and people who helped him and gave him a chance to be where he is and the fans always backed him even when he was young breaking into the team. There's a reason he has got to where he is, he's a top lad and a quality footballer and being respectful is part of his nature and makes him a good leader.

Maguire criticism from media is a joke , scape goat. Blue cards will completely ruin the game. Any time the ref shows a yellow card to someone, VAR will have to check and confirm the decision and slow the game down even more. Such a bad idea.

He probably didn't celebrate because it was 6-0, if it had been 0-0 & he scored that he would of celebrated a bit more but the fact his former club has, lets be honest just been absolutely embarrassed he had a more muted celebration, i think you even saw when Saka scored the 5th Saka didn't really celebrate.
The only good thing that might come from the blue cards is that it could give some strange results and maybe city might lose more. But other than that its not a great idea
Regarding blue cards. I don’t think it solves anything but I like the willingness to change the game. Everyone seems to have a “don’t change our game” mentality- even with smaller things like 3 to 5 substitutions. I don’t think the current referees actually have as much freedom as people assume. If they started carding players for any kind of descent or complaining about decisions they would be slated for ruining the game, being corrupt and fixing the game so whichever team won, won. I would personally like to see that. Start of the season you make it clear it’s a complete crackdown, captains only to query decisions politely, yellow card for anyone else. After 1-2 game weeks and a team losing a game that was effected by that, all the players will stop.

With the blue card, what happens if a player gets sin binned for 10 mins, with 5 mins left, will it get carried over to the next game or what, such a stupid idea
well i assume they would just be out of the rest of the game. The idea is to improve discipline and punish 'tactical' fouls. If players keep their mouths shut, it becomes a non issue.
@@stephenpalmer9375I think it can help the referee controlling the game if a foul could be a red but the game was too early. However, it will not stop tactical foul, because most fouls are subjective.

The issue we have is you don’t get a yellow for decent when you should, like rugby it should be instant. We wouldn’t have this problem of blue cards if players actually showed respect to the ref like every other sport. But no they swear at the ref 24/7 and show no respect what so ever. Whatever decision is final unless pulled back end of like every other sport.

Great show guys, keep Goldbridge away more often lol, kidding love Mark. On the Blue card debate. Firstly red and yellow make orange not blue, so that would be cooler. But my question, isn't a yellow a form of being sin binned anyway? Players who play aggressively have to be careful on a yellow anyway, this as you said will turn it into a 3hr game. My fear is a stop clock next, this should never happen, and we should be allowed to point and laugh at the person who thought of it

Why would blue cards make the game last longer? I'm not sure I get these objections tbh. When someone makes a really obvious foul on the halfway line that does basically stop a goal scoring opportunity I think they should get a sin bin. Some of the fouls you see are so bad and deserve more than a yellow.

The idea behind the blue card is to speed up the game by eliminating cynical tackles, professional fouls on the break, dissent, and time wasting… how would it slow down the game at all 😂
Why do they think a card that would stop cynical fouls will slow the game down? Professional fouls are designed to slow the game down... so a card to stop this is somehow gonna slow it down?
Yes, if you do a "professional foul" that stops a 2v1 counter attack a yellow card is way too soft a punishment. There’s a reason why footballers so easily do these fouls, because the punishment doesn’t answer the foul. However if you get put on the sideline for 10 minutes (in addition to the yellow card) then you have a much greater punishment to cobsider, which is worse? 10men for 10 minutes or a potential goal chance against you? Oh, they should add diving to the list of things that gets you sent into the timeout bin.
having 10 men for 10 minutes won't do much for chances against you, teams will just play defensively. It's just as likely it will reduce the amount of goals in the games. @@MrGlennJohnsen

The takes about blue cards have real old man yelling at cloud vibes. Blue cards would introduce a punishment that has a real effect on the game without making it permanent, for all of those cases where a player does something bad but the referee doesn't want to turn the game entirely on its head (like a cynical foul or dissent). I don't think it's a no-brainer but to say it's just to stir things up or pretend there is no benefit to it is silly.
Ben its not mark only we love we love you too :p but we also understand how important marky is but also at the same time you’re all just as good but he’s just someone nice to have around in my opinion i think we all can be that at times nice to have around opinionated but balanced and calm but measured in there opinions mostly so its just nice to have people like that cause society has lost a bit of the ability to have some great conversations and you guys help us fight back from our self made dementia and complacency and break the ice !!!
