How do you guys see my car after the restoration, is it amazing, please leave your comments
Can you also show details of how you repaired the engine? Btw, great job. I wish I had your tools too 👍👍
Very cool! Without a doubt! Good luck!
I noticed that your speedmeters (km/h and rpm) don't work and also your horn is not recommend to use for cars warning. You should also show in the video driving at night, we can't see any fixes on the lights or other functions of the car. Sure it's a good restoration but it really needs improvements.
Great car now go enjoy it
Bạn là người việt nam nha Chơ ko phải là người nc ngoài
For everyone who doesn't realise what they do- this is in reverse- they film a fairly decent car, throw a bit of paint over it to try to make it look good, then actually destroy the car, pour acid on the paint to get the rust going, probably pour petrol on the body and light it too so it looks like it's been in a fire but the engine and interior are all fine, smash the windows, put trash in it- let it sit for a few months etc. Then present bit's and bob's of a 'restoration'. But think about it, the interior, the wiring loom, all the electrics - all that which is destroyed. Where do they get the new parts from? They don't. That's why it cuts to putting the seats back in. That's why the paint looks dull and rough on the 'finished' car, because it's filmed before they wreck it. Look at the tail lights- full of dirt, no reverse lights, it runs like a banger. You see dents on the door etc. Just pure fakery to get views.
I thought I am the only one seeing this
I am fully agree.
Agreed. So fake.
👏👏👏
I disagree. I think what actually happened was that they had the "restored" Merc already (still looks quite shit honestly), got another non-running one, attacked it with some grinding wheels and acid, stripped it down, did some "restoring" to it, which obviously was not ment to actually be good (fking oxy weld some sheet to the rear bench, do some multyspot like the bigboys do then call it bodywork repair). After all this crap they kinda stripped the "good" Merc (just the interior since there are no shots of the engine bay, probably cause of the two cars not having the same enigne) then put it back together for the cam, do some sped up footage of the car driving to make it look like a 50s action move and call it a day. If you watch on pc fullscreen you'll see when they cut to the "painted" body, the video quality goes back to CCTV style to hide the absence of their previous "work". Also the car is still full of dents and paint errors (for example on the front left wing above the headlights, on the right side doors ect.). If they really restored a car, no such phenomena would slip through the filters. Definitely a B for effort but still anyone with an IQ greater then room temperature (in Celsius) can tell this is some fake shiet
Car is rusted but yet has a double fin head unit near intact. The seats don't have mold on them the carpet is in good condition. Yea. Looks staged to me.
For sure,, just for the views.. 😅
Well I guess that's just the MB-tex seats for you.
Well i guess, is just a scam 🤣
Agree! Inside the car no rust. Floor is like new
Well you know guys just because the seats don't have molds doesn't mean it's a scam
You have to appreciate this for what it is. A bunch of guys from Southeast Asia have a rusted hulk of a Benz that probably is worth less than a $100 to a junkyard. They ask themselves, “How can we turn this into a profit opportunity?” They hit upon the idea of faking a disassembly and restoration that would be filmed for KZhead, garner millions of views, and earning them ad money. Not the mechanical skill level to take apart and assemble a Benz with a little toolkit, but still entrepreneurial skill that has to be applauded. Making the most of what you’ve got at hand.
Amazing restoration and this is proof that old benz quality is over engineer
😲😲😲 wow amazing the old Mercedes Benz can restore even one person only it's very amazing and exciting to watch the next vedio thank you for sharing this video

Basically, you took this nice car, destroyed it, presented the whole process in reverse with some tweaking, and made everyone believe that you've restored it... and KZhead is ok with that. Very Nice!
I agree with the car looked nice

The numerous stickers on the windscreen of the restored car support your theory. The wrecked car had the remnants of the stickers. It is also illogical that if they had fitted a new windscreen that they would fit one with old stickers.
He hearted your comment lmao

I'm guessing the car we see in the end as the "finished" vehicle is actually the starting point. It runs and drives, has a 15-footer paintjob, generally complete. They disassemble it a little, and then reassemble it at the dingy roadside location to get some footage of the "final assembly". Then they trash it. Bust the windows, glass, and lights, pour paint stripper on the exterior, run it into a wall, etc. Come back a few weeks later when nature has taken it's toll, and film the "discovery" and teardown footage. Haul the husk off to your buddy's shop, and get some bodywork practice. Grinding off some surface rust, pounding out a few roof dents, painting a single door and wet sanding and polishing it until you can see yourself in the reflection (but also leave the door handle on there so it will get painted shut and make it entirely unusable). Edit the footage to make it look like you restored it to the "before" condition. Get 7 million views. Things we didn't see: Any engine work whatsoever, after literally ripping out everything necessary for it to run Any glass work, despite windshield having some old peeling stickers on it in "after" video. The car being returned to the dingy roadside location. Painting or reassembly of any panels besides door. Anything happening in real time, which might make it easier to identify cuts or reversed clips. I would love for this to be totally real, but there is too much that doesn't add up, in just the wrong way.
The very last of the true Mercedes look how elegant and reliable, imagine trying to fix a modern day Mercedes with only basic tools.
Amazing the plastic bumper rusted into the same exact color as the rest of the body
40 years ago no plastic bumpers
@@successflowstome you must be in the wrong discussion because that model W120 Mercedes uses plastic bumper covers, which is I what I was referring to.
@@dare2scheme904 Then I definitely am in the wrong discussion 🤭
It starts so well : we watch with amazement at the incredibly hard work involved stripping down the old Merc. And then after one door panel is carefully restored and painted in the workshop, the wonder all falls apart: it becomes quite impossible to the point that any intelligent person knows the whole show is a fake. Absolutely no showing of the replacement of engine and gearbox and wiring loom etc. etc. While admiring the industry displayed I think all viewers have a right to feel thoroughly cheated. But with 6.3 million views I should think the perpetrators of this fraudulant video are laughing all the way to the bank!
In our country, Vietnam, all types of road motor vehicles have to go through a periodic quality inspection process. At the end of the video, I see that there is a very new quality and environmental hygiene inspection stamp. Verification is very rigorous for a vehicle. The checking of the frame number, the machine number is very standard. In Vietnam, it is almost impossible for a vehicle like a car to change the main engine. I really appreciate the quality of this video. I don't think this video is a scam.
Maybe repairing machines and repairing circuit boards and car power lines is not the forte of the youtuber group that made this video. That's why they sent the car to a place that specializes in that problem and they can't video it for us.
Yes, this was clearly staged. There is no way in he** the body could be so rusted with seats so nice. This car was purchased, then staged to look abandoned and rusted.

The celebration of Bondo that I just witnessed as part of this video was exceptionally heartwarming. It validates my complete fabrication of the rear wheel arch of my 1974 Chevy Camaro out of Bondo. I knew back then that I was onto something and here we have it before our eyes!
Не бита, не крашена, без шпакла и подкрасов, ездил дедушка по праздникам в магазин, гаражное хранения.
Nice rusting job, i imagine the time you spent to sand all the car for removing all the paint
There seem to be a few steps missing between sanding the bare frame and driving away ...
The truth is missing...
Yeah quite a few.
What happended at 34:00 ? 🤣🤣 Is it the same car??
In the paintjob part: A quick and dirty paintjob can hide a lot of imperfections. [With a LOT of Body Filler.] Inside the car looks good, Just a lot of surface rust in the outside.
Yeah...as he's gutting the dash and wiring harness...I'm like..I can't wait to see this go back together. Oh well...
@ 1:40 Unfortunately I have to mention that the level of corrosion corresponds to a *staged* situation. In other words: A lot of help was given to get this *extreme corrosion* on the outside of the body. I'm not stupid: A Mercedes-Benz "W 201" may start to rust a little over the years, but you only get the rust that can be admired in the video if the paint has been deliberately *sanded off* ! And if you look closely, you can also see that the original paint was removed with a *power tool* !
I'm impressed that you did all that on flip flops!!! I can't even mop in those!!!!

Самое интересное в этой недореставрации это то что ни один болтик или шпилька не обломались в процессе

17 years ago, I bought used a 1985 190E in Hyannis, Ma. It had 160K , it had been garaged life long in Chatham on Cape Cod. It was a special order car from Mercedes Benz of Hyannis. Somebody with ton of money ordered this car special. I don't have previous owner info. All options from Germany were incorporated in this car including the rare body color, a light metallic gold, a burgundy red interior. No rust, no dents, mint interior! The 4 cylinder burned oil executively, so bad so, I had to keep replacing spark plugs every 1000 miles in order stay firing on all 4. This car , in spite of a need for engine overhaul, was a great driving experience....Later, I drove for 3 years the 1987 300D, the fastest production diesel in 1986-87, a 6 cylinder turbo, produced from MB in 126 and 124 cars, only 2 years .
It's actually pretty slow, they just added the sound of a super car and sped up the video to make it look fast

There isn't enough debris under or around the car for it to have been at that location very long. Also judging by the homes in the area it would be amazing for them to allow the car to sit there for any period of time.
They rrmoved the paint and scratched it through dirt in it and on it and broke stuff on it, it was a perfectly fine car, they used the old video of it when it was fine and driving it as the last part of the video to make it look like he was driving it, and sped it up and added fake sounds over it.
