    • He quite said that he and Mysterio can put up a match without having to say a single word to each other. I loved that subtle double intendre: he remarks the great professionalism and experience of Rey Mysterio as a performer and at the same time he remarks his own, even if he does not wrestle for a promotion since 2014, opposite to John Cena that even if he wrestled for almost 16 years straight in WWE (not counting his time in OVW) still had to call out loud his spots

  • Facts about Nacho Libre: The character of Ramses (the one with the gold gear/bad guy of the movie) was actually portrayed by a real mexican luchador known as "Silver King" that unfortunately passed away last year by a heart attack during a match in London. The dude blowing the whistle in 3:19 is Armando Gaytan, probably the most famous ring announcer in Lucha Libre. And the movie is kinda based on the story of a luchador called "Fray Tormenta".

Coming back, you realize it's something you relate to and the many art forms (although maybe not entirely factual or realistic) allow you to put your two cents in and wonder how you would have fared in the situations faced by other characters.

      @Aditya-sn4sr@Aditya-sn4sr2 жыл бұрын
    • @@Aditya-sn4sr Some straight edge people can be perceived as obnoxious because they call out people that drink or smoke. Some even do that and then secretly drink and smoke themselves, which is hypocritical. Also, some people simply gets annoyed by the culture. Straight edge isn't just identified by not drinking and not doing drugs, otherwise muslims would be considered straight edge, too. There's also a lot of ostentation about it, with showy tattoos and the music and style. People can choose not to drink nor do drugs without judging others that do, and without going around sporting tattoos shouting their lifestyle choices. That can be perceived as a fad-like niche culture like punk, dark, hipster, etc., and some people just dislike the idea of adhering to a fad because they perceive it as mob mentality, lack of individuality. I personally don't have any particular opinion about them, but I can see someone disliking them for this or that reason. That said, he was probably referring to his straight edge GIMMICK.

  • I'm sure I've missed some, but I feel like I've watched most every interview he's done since he left WWE, and this was the most hyped he's sounded about wrestling since before he left the business. I keep hearing he's listening to offers and might be getting the itch, you can definitely tell he's not sour on it anymore by the way he's talking here.

    • @ChrisHallett83 it's insane that in a post Chris Benoit age we still see people with obvious screws loose like New Jack allowed to wrestle. the problem is oddly i believe partially because it is not viewed as real and more of a performance that normal health safe guards for athletes are not in place. think if a boxer hit an opponent multiple times after the bell trying to possibly kill his opponent if he would be easily be allowed to box again. but yes people need to be arrested for the times New Jack went off and legitimately tried assaulting his fellow wrestlers.
