    • Just playing devil’s advocate here - someone like John Wick may be thinking ahead; I might be able to take this guy without firing a bullet. One, I don’t want to have others hear the gunshot and attract attention, two, I’m not sure when I’m going to get the chance to get more bullets, I’ll only use the ones I have if I need to.

We will know years down he line with retroactive testing if anyone's clean, but based solely on resume.. bones. I respect you choosing gsp though, it's very close 2nd for me. If he proved himself against the new generation aka khabib I would have him as n1. It just seems as if every guy gsp has beat wouldn't be top 10 in the UFC today.   • To anyone unfamiliar with MMA, GSP isn't an average MMA fighter. He was a long reigning champ and considered by many in the sport and by fans to be the best MMA fighter ever.

    • To be specific,he is not the guy one would find only in a top 10,he is the one that appears in a top 5 or top 3. At the peak,the numbers 1 and 2, you find Anderson Silva and Fedor Emelianenko, someone says Silva is 1,someone says Fedor is 1. At the 3,4,5 spot,you see,in rotation,Wanderlei Silva,Mirko Cro Cop,and George Saint Pierre.

  • This man elevated the class of MMA. Before him, some states banned MMA. It was labeled as human cockfighting. A spectator sport for skin heads, trailer trash, and low lives. Not too many people thought of competitors in this sport as professional athletes. St. Pierre is a true definition of a Martial Artist. He worked hard to perfect his boxing, Jiu Jitsu, and Muay Thai and that made more audiences appreciate the multidisciplinary approach of the sport. He also rarely engaged in trash talking and was always a gracious winner and loser. He was one of the first who showed up in prefight conferences wearing suits.

    • @@nnnp634 you may be able to read spanish/portuguese and kinda guess what is going on because of the latin roots of the words but as a french speaker there is no way you can understand a conversation in spanish without training. Spanish to portuguese is more likely but prononciations and intonations are too far off in french. However, the latin basis of the language makes it somewhat easier to learn.

    • The other day he told Joe Rogan he had a guy analyse all the fighters frame by frame to create a spreadsheet of everyone's reaction time. He said BJ Penn and Dominic Cruz were the quickest I think. He talked about overwhelming people's nervous system until they get exhausted. He is next level when it comes to fighting, training, nutrition and philosophy. His fighter IQ is underrated

  • For non GSP fans out there, he is considered one of the bests MMA fighters of all time, who in the prime of his career consistently faced off against some of the greatest in his division (PRE-USADA era so everyone was juiced) and left the UFC after a 26 and 2 record. For clarification, his 2 losses were Matt Hughes and Matt Serra, he came back and beat them both twice.
