Other tips are to keep a neat study space (personally, mine was always a mess), be organized (I used a physical planner and added on Google calendar in college), and to just do 1 more (explained my Top 1% video). But I wanted to provide tips that maybe you guys haven't heard of before - hope this helps!

  • How to study more efficiently 1. Gain early awareness - Look through the resources 2. Learn by doing - Time of studying + work (questions) 3. Parallel recall = active recall in parallel with reading - Reading the textbook + active recall at the same time - Repeat info without looking until understanding and memorising later - If studying feels easy, you’re actually not doing something useful. Your wasting time! - It should feel a little hard, it means you are learning - **Your can’t learn without effort** 4. Have an accountability partner - Set soft deadlines (commitment with friend) 5. Pivot when stuck - Ask for help from friends and teachers 6. Reduce screentime - Excessive screentime decreases focus and memory

Im starting 10th grade in 2 days. Please like this comment next year on the same date i posted this comment. Or maybe a day or 2 before. 29/03/2024 is the day i am posting this. Ill be back to check on march of 2025! Right now i am struggling with maths, physics and social studies. Basically anything that isnt English. I wish to climb back to the top with my own efforts and be the best version of myself. Wish me luck!

This video felt like it almost targeted all my problems because even though the other videos teach you what you do, there is a point where you need a little more detailed guidance on what you should be doing to improve your studying efficiency. There is also the reason that this video validated some conclusions that I came to after trying different methods, which was really helpful! Thank you for this video, I will get my comeback one way or the other.

  • Now this is one way to spend my break after studying math and chemistry. I also do one of the tips and did it today before watching this video, it's the trying to solve something but then leaving it if it's difficult. I would actually keep all the weird answers i got and ask my friends what they got, if they got answers that make more sense or are just correct, then I'd know to pay more attention to that certain concept or type of question. If we all don't know what we are doing like what happened today, I'd leave it and show my teacher all those weird answers i wrote, then write the correct answers with explanations on the side of the page

I recently realized that when I was in college before, I had great study habits because I had no social media. This time around, back in college, I noticed that I had not had the same habits. Since then, I've discovered why I'm currently converting. I also used to study at Barnes & Noble and now I only study at home. Sometimes I have a great outcome and other times, I'm annoyed. Thanks for Sharing! Be well and be safe!

  • I think this is the best video I have seen (at least for me) for studying and being efficient, especially for maths. I have watched a lot of other videos about studying techniques but they rarely go over how to study maths, they also tend to get very technical and overwhelming. As someone who sits and tries to read the full 80ish page text on say differential equations, by the time it comes to doing questions I don't have the energy or really remember anything I read. So your second tip, going straight to questions and supplement with textbook when needed makes sense as you actually need to practice learning the skill and being able to recognise what is being asked in the question and breaking it down etc.

  • ok girl you just earned a subscriber, i had never watched your videos before but they were always recommended to me and today i clicked on the new habits one- now I'm on a binge watch 😭😭 but seriously guys the teacher tip is so good & so real. Physics is the subject I STRUGGLE in, but my bond with the physics teacher is so good that he teaches me tips and tricks to score better, explained concepts too clearly when i asked a doubt AND gave me his personal resources for preparing for an exam. It took nothing but a few personal doubts, interest in his work life and achievements and actually laughing at his jokes that I'm now his favourite student. Yall NEED to socialise with your teachers (appropriately and professionally ofc) to get to the top of your academic success. He recently offered to write me a letter of recommendation (only the toppers get this privilege and I'm not one), and this is a habit you need to carry till you graduate uni/college.

  • Agreed!!! Also, as a musician, I highly relate to the “pivot when stuck” idea!! And yes, ALWAYS communicate with all your professors!! They are always there for you and want you to do well!!!! And ASKING FOR HELP DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE “dumb”!!

    • I am in a class of very advanced students. But obviously even amongst the smartest students there are smarter students. The teachers that teach us are among the best in the country. I sometimes feel like they don't explain it enough to me as they would the other students that are better than me. They even sometimes make excuses to ignore my question or belittle me. So they have a lot of favourites. What should i do in this case? I am trying to get closer to the professors so they will recognize my efforts and hopefully help me in a better way in the future but what do you think

  • ok girl you just earned a subscriber, i had never watched your videos before but they were always recommended to me and today i clicked on the new habits one- now I'm on a binge watch but seriously guys the teacher tip is so good & so real.

  • I want to say that your tips are 100% true. It’s similar to what I used to do in high school. However, I fell into this cycle where I blamed everything on my family situation and the numerous responsibilities that came with it. Working 86 hours a week while trying to stay committed to college has been challenging. My work schedule makes it difficult to find time to study. Additionally, I developed bad habits, becoming a procrastinator. In my limited free time, I either sleep, spend it on TikTok, or watch shows. It’s been a terrible situation because I lost sight of my primary goal, which is to complete my bachelor’s degree. I’m hoping to start with baby steps and find my path again. I’m even deleting apps because I often feel guilty about spending those 30 minutes on TikTok. ***Thank you, it served as a reminder**

  • 1. Gain early awareness - when you get hw in class, read through the question & do at least 1 in class 2. Learn before doing - jump into the hw before reading the book, if you cant do it, then go back and refer to the textbook 3. Parallel recall - while reading a book, think about how it relates to ur life or the other things you’ve read before 4. Accountability partner - always learn from others - set “soft deadlines” 3-4 days before ur actual deadline 5. Pívot when you’re stuck - when you feel stuck in a problem, ask smn else for help while doing something else 6. Reduce ur screen time

  • Insightful video, thank you. I’m an AI researcher and out of school, but lots of useful stuff here. Would love a video specific to your productivity while outside of university. I wonder if migraines actually helped you in terms of efficiency and getting better grades because you knew you had less study time if a migraine came. Nietzsche actually had terrible migraines as well and could only write in 20 minute bursts. This led to his writing becoming incredibly dense with meaning because he couldn’t take longer to write. He had to be hyper-efficient with his wording.
