Facts, it hurt to see Gilbert that emotional
Shit, really showed his empathy 🙏
@@trinitythabontshangase4398 dead ass Bro 👊
Made me change my opinion on him world class champ
Usman is a legend fuck the haters.
Gilbert would fight literally anyone at anytime. He never ducks fighters. Gotta give respect to the man
The anti-Colby
He would destroy Colby but not kimbo slice
@@rayyyyyyy237 dude he would crush kimbo
It's all about money $$$$
@@slickperspective2745 yes but also some fighter get good money n still duck
Man Gilbert is such a class act of a great character, great heart and always willing to do what he does best
but Usman showed respect the min he say his brother crying on the floor I feel like it a lot more has to be said about what character Usman has it be so easy to just turn the other cheek and celebrate all the hard work yet he's kneeling with Gilbert in times of defeat
He's a fighter, but to me I feel like he's more of a protector than killer but he's only getting better
They both are good people. Yes both Usman much more then burns can be egotistical but every man can... not even can they will do it without knowing it at some points in life.. they are friends outside of the cage that's what matters 25 mins or years of friendship lemme think this is hard choice
@Meeks Faded great point. Usman while champ and still now, his humility wasn't praised enough. People asked for his to talk more trash so he did, then they say he's not "humble". But when he was quiet people called him boring......fickle minds
He’s not even close to a champion…..great guy and decent road man but not a champion!
You can tell Usman's heart broke seeing his friend cry like that!
Fr! The mixture of emotions of a friend trying to take his title and win streak in a fist fight, to win, defend the title, stifle the plans of betrayal and at the end of it all, once the dust settled, all he saw was an old friend in pain.
And vice versa you can tell it hurt Gilbert he had to fight his friend if he wanted to be a champion
That's why you don't fight your friends
@@flyingfrogofdeath9616this is so eloquently worded bro
Respect to Usman for instantly becoming humble and even almost emotional himself for Burns once he saw how Burns was crying on that loss.
I'd be happy I won, but I wouldn't celebrate like that after beating a friend
@@hixta u don’t fight man it’s so easy to say you wouldn’t but that adrenaline release is insane

Gilbert will get his title shot after this masvidal fight !

Sadly he will need to fight colby the clown But he definitely demolishes leon

Makes me wanna cry bro fr
Usman froze after looking at burns crying. Whenever you get something, you are prolly taking it from someone else. Makes sense. Gilbert burns is a warrior.
I'll never forget that quote. Holy cannoli
That’s the nature of these sports, thats why friends need to understand that beforehand. Personally if you are my friend, we are never fighting.
I read somewhere "men hate seeing other men cry" and it fits. We understand how hurt you have to be to cry infront of another man
@@Oliver-2103 yeah he was all happy and shouting around and next moment he looks at gilbert, eyes open, eye balls not moving, body frozen prolly thinking it could have been him, he knows how much hardwork gilbert must have done to possibly win the title. Takes one to know one type of shit
@@kvde999 Yeah, but it's not true. Capitalism proved that when the majority of people are honest (capitalism only works with honesty) and work hard, they create more and more goods and services for more and more people. Countries that are poor are missing essential ingredients for functional capitalism. Ideally, if the majority of people on earth were honest and hardworking, everyone could actually have Ferraris as their cars.

When I thought usman was INVINCIBLE
fr bro
I never thought Usman in his prime was invincible. Usman’s greatest strength was his pressure. If you look at his technical abilities, he doesn’t have a lot to be desired. Yes, he made improvements over the years, but he was always an endurance fighter. Usman’s takedowns almost always happened near the cage, or in a clinch. He doesn’t have the fundamental understanding of distance management and angles to be able to reactively CLOSE THE DISTANCE and take his opponents down, hence his need for his opponents to be near a cage or in a clinch. Usman’s striking is obviously mediocre at best; his footwork isn’t great, and his lack of composure disallows him from throwing effective combinations. His lack of footwork prevents him from effectively engaging and disengaging; that’s why he’s always charging forward with his pressure. You take Usman’s gas tank away (which you can, cause Usman’s juiced to the gills on PED’s), you have a wrestler with mediocre striking skills and poor distance management skills.
@@beauchoi4046 hahaha no. He’s not mediocre at anything. Not great at anything either. He’s like a watered downJon jones, just well rounded and obviously he has that pressure.
@@beauchoi4046 wow ok coach
@@kam9625 absolutely not. Usman’s striking is not nearly as versatile as Jon Jones’ striking and GSP’s striking. Usman’s primary striking threats are his hands, but he doesn’t have immaculate technique. Yes, his work with Trevor has improved his technical skills, I am absolutely NOT denying that. Usman knows how to throw punches with great mechanical accuracy to generate a lot of power. With that being said, he loses composure in a lot of striking exchanges and oftentimes tenses up when throwing combinations. Usman’s lack of proper footwork and his asymmetry when it comes fighting while moving forward vs fighting while moving backwards is a big weakness. Seriously, watch his fights during his prime - forward pressure is his greatest weapon; his technical skills and acumen aren’t the best.
Usman immediately realized he just snatched his friends dream away. Crazy sport we support man.
Man up

Burns is arguably the coolest Brazilian in my book dudes a class act, puts on a show, doesn’t hate Americans and is champion material, dude will be a champ by the time he retires

Charles, Burns, Alex, and RDA imo

Bro I pray Gilbert gets a title dude works his ass off
They all work their asses off they’re in the ufc for a reason but yes he’s a good dude and he’s had ups and downs and seeing him get that title would be amazing
As long as be avoids Shavkat I think he beats everyone else except maybe Leon but that's still a very winnable fight for Durinho
@@mikemorris9902shavkat wont beat gilbert bro
I think he complete af. I hope he gets to be a champion
That's one thing that gets to me about fighting because so has Leon, almost everyone who is ranked in the UFC fought their asses off but sadly only a few can be at the top
You can't hate another man with the same dream as you. There's mutual respect between them. Only one can be champion.
You don't turn your back on a friend/training partner who supported you
I don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about 😂 met just about everyone in my life that had the goal of getting rich and they almost always sucked. Hate a few forsure . You trippin
@The Eagle when you both have the same dream and you know what it is from the beginning it is he never turned on his brothers back they are friends and will continue to be this the fight business they are fighting to see who is the best and if it comes down to it may the best man win they know what career they chose they are still friends outside the cage it’s different if he acted like they are brothers and promised he would never come after his belt and then turned the corner this is different Gilbert and usman both knew what it was from the beginning
I won the gold at State in TKD. I went to Nationals and got 5th. I nearly qualified for the Pan American Games. After I lost and realized I wasn't going, I cried my eyes out. Doesn't make you less of a man. Respect Gilbert. You're one of my favorite fighters.
For sure dude.. we all have our downfall!! Best of luck in the future
@@robertrossi9364 that's very kind of you. I really appreciate that. Take care of yourself, friend!

Usman is such a good dude
Training partners for over six years even when usman set the tempo for the blackzillians in the ultimate fighter Gilbert was the one carrying him on his shoulders, this was tough for both of them

Most emotional fight ever imo was like seeing a big brother beat up his little brother in the octagon then they both cried and hugged it out after kinda like the movie Warriors

Only a warrior could know what Gilbert feels when he is crying 😭 on the floor. My whole life i been a tough guy but when i saw that man cry! I had tears in my eyes knowing exactly why he was crying.
Burns is a champion. 100% the one guy I want to see her the belt. The way He holds up against bigger guys blows my mind. The way he shut down kamzats attempt to bully him over in the cage was amazing. You could tell khamzat was like holy shit. What kind of animal is this.
Burns is most definitely one of the most deserving fighters to become a champ, he’s willing to take hard fights.
Once that post fight adrenaline wears off and the celebrating stops it’s a whole different feeling
This just made me not angry at burns for retiring my goat gamebread
Those pandemic no crowd apex fights were so surreal

Gilbert Burns is an animal. Solid guy and I want him to be champion more then anything.
Put some respect on both of these men. It hurts when you see these new fans just trashing every other fighter they can.
Its was like yesterday when they fought, this two man, respect
Usman learned to be a character to sale fights. When he looked at Gilbert in the octagon that was the real him. Because just like he wanted and became a champ. He understood Gilbert.

Taking what from who?! -Usman Headshot Dead! - Edwards
Lucky shot
God I love Gilbert
Gilbert Burns, is a respectful and legitimate fighter.
Both men are legends
This was incredible watching live. Friends and former training partners turned adversaries. Burns trying to take both Usman's title and his legendary win streak on top of his unbeaten UFC run. You can tell Gilbert thought it would only be worth it if he won. And even then the pain he displayed shows he may have even realised a win might've felt just as bad. Kamaru's composure in the lead up and then after he saw just how hurt Gilbert was physically and emotionally... Heartbreaking and awe-inspiring. One of the best storylines in modern UFC.
Great retelling. Thanks
Usmans brother is a real one. Dead silence except for his brothers praise of him. And good on Usman for respecting Gilbert.
GILBERT BURNS HAVE IMPROVED SINCE THEN AND HE DESERVE MY RESPECT HE IS A TRUE PEOPLES CHAMPION
I hope Burns become the champ for once! Dude is so real and honest.
These quarantine fights were so good just because of the sound
Don’t let him bully you son xD
Most don’t even understand how hard it is to keep your composure when you hurt someone in the cage or the ring. It’s like you smell blood you want to finish it as fast as you could, but those are the times that you have to stay relaxed and be smart. See what happened to Pereira, got overconfident too
