Capitalism proved that when the majority of people are honest (capitalism only works with honesty) and work hard, they create more and more goods and services for more and more people. Countries that are poor are missing essential ingredients for functional capitalism. Ideally, if the majority of people on earth were honest and hardworking, everyone could actually have Ferraris as their cars.

    • I never thought Usman in his prime was invincible. Usman’s greatest strength was his pressure. If you look at his technical abilities, he doesn’t have a lot to be desired. Yes, he made improvements over the years, but he was always an endurance fighter. Usman’s takedowns almost always happened near the cage, or in a clinch. He doesn’t have the fundamental understanding of distance management and angles to be able to reactively CLOSE THE DISTANCE and take his opponents down, hence his need for his opponents to be near a cage or in a clinch. Usman’s striking is obviously mediocre at best; his footwork isn’t great, and his lack of composure disallows him from throwing effective combinations. His lack of footwork prevents him from effectively engaging and disengaging; that’s why he’s always charging forward with his pressure. You take Usman’s gas tank away (which you can, cause Usman’s juiced to the gills on PED’s), you have a wrestler with mediocre striking skills and poor distance management skills.

      @beauchoi4046@beauchoi4046 Жыл бұрын
    • @@beauchoi4046 hahaha no. He’s not mediocre at anything. Not great at anything either. He’s like a watered downJon jones, just well rounded and obviously he has that pressure.

    • @@beauchoi4046 wow ok coach

      @moaben1007@moaben1007 Жыл бұрын
    • @@kam9625 absolutely not. Usman’s striking is not nearly as versatile as Jon Jones’ striking and GSP’s striking. Usman’s primary striking threats are his hands, but he doesn’t have immaculate technique. Yes, his work with Trevor has improved his technical skills, I am absolutely NOT denying that. Usman knows how to throw punches with great mechanical accuracy to generate a lot of power. With that being said, he loses composure in a lot of striking exchanges and oftentimes tenses up when throwing combinations. Usman’s lack of proper footwork and his asymmetry when it comes fighting while moving forward vs fighting while moving backwards is a big weakness. Seriously, watch his fights during his prime - forward pressure is his greatest weapon; his technical skills and acumen aren’t the best.

  • This was incredible watching live. Friends and former training partners turned adversaries. Burns trying to take both Usman's title and his legendary win streak on top of his unbeaten UFC run. You can tell Gilbert thought it would only be worth it if he won. And even then the pain he displayed shows he may have even realised a win might've felt just as bad. Kamaru's composure in the lead up and then after he saw just how hurt Gilbert was physically and emotionally... Heartbreaking and awe-inspiring. One of the best storylines in modern UFC.

It’s like you smell blood you want to finish it as fast as you could, but those are the times that you have to stay relaxed and be smart. See what happened to Pereira, got overconfident too
