I have done the same kind of thing with home ground pork, home ground ham, bacon and onions. I did not make them into rings but laid them out as logs with the bacon wrapped around them. I kept my heat down to about 200 degrees burning Hickory chunks. I cooked them all day and served them with hot dog buns in the evening. The problem with this is that it takes all day and I have to constantly baby sit the fire, therefore I cannot do much of anything else with my day!! The profuse compliments all evening make it worthwhile!!
Although challenging to make it looked tasty and something different..... I'll bet it works great with ground venison also.....
You sir are a certified genius. I imagine myself to be a creative person but would NEVER have thought to do this. Can’t wait to try it!!! Thanks for the inspiration 👍🏻👍🏻
Those are a lot of fun to make. I highly recommend using those other onion rings that you didn't use wrap two or three rings in bacon without the ground beef. Good stuff.!!
Nice job, Backwoods! They look as good as I imagine they taste! I’m gonna have to try this with the grand-kids! Thanks for the great idea and demonstration!
Looks fricking great!!!! Texas Tough 💪🏽
Extraordinary meat donuts. Congratulations!
Wow...Those look amazing!!!
I'm going to try to make them but I'm going to mixed some cheese in with the beef.
Oh, I'ma try that!
I’m going to try these on my channel and I’ll give you a shout out Scott for the inspiration. They look amazing brother keep up the good work
That looks amazing.
I've made just plain bacon wrapped onion rings but I need to keep my eye out for some big onions to do these next.
@jnorth3341 Vidalia Sweet is just beginning to show up in stores, and the Texas Sweet is next up. Another idea is to use the smaller inside ones over beef hotdogs and then bacon. Done in foil packets for grits and shiggles.
Scott that looks amazing brother!
Yummies! Those Vidalias make really good traditional onion rings beer battered for a side too.🧅🍻 Was the thumbs up @11:33 a reminder or a semi thank you for the rain shower?👍🌧️
You had me at Meat Donuts at 12:20 I swear you had chocolate glazed those ....Nice 👍🏼

No such thing as over salting 😋.
Ohh boy were loving this video. Gonna have to try it
@13:48, i know that's right..............................
Looks great, I think you want to use lean hamburger as you did with the fattiness of the bacon. John T. See you next time.
neat, now add some hot peppers on the inside and then batter and fry it after like a normal onion ring. call it a heart attack ring aha
Sauage meat would be good as well.
Looks good, I’ll try it. How come is always raining where you’re at?🤣 why don’t you write your recipes on the video?
