i realize I'm kinda off topic but does anyone know of a good website to stream newly released series online ?
@Jett Landon I would suggest Flixzone. Just search on google for it =)
@Koa Marco yup, I've been using Flixzone for since march myself :)
@Koa Marco Thank you, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D Appreciate it !!
@Jett Landon you are welcome =)
That is really cool seeing more optical switches Since I only use linear switches, this is really nice to see super smooth switches!
I agree. Optical seems to be trending up
I like the way this was filmed a lot. The b-roll is getting pretty good, and the new angle for Betty is actually amazing. I like the color in the background instead of the dark wall. Definitely a good decision. It also feels just a bit more put together than your other videos, and is definitely a video I could see myself referencing if anyone wants a unique gamer keyboard. Unfortunately the price tag on this board discourages me from wanting to try it (the stabilized switches sounded really interesting and smooth!) but overall, great review and a great delivery keeping the target audience for this board in mind!
Thanks! Glad someone noticed 😉 we'll stick to this look for the next coming months
@@SwitchandClickOfficial That's awesome! I might just be a random dude on KZhead but I really, really liked it. For some reason it adds an air of professionalism to the video that I haven't seen from you before (not saying your older videos aren't professional, just saying this one really steps things up).
Very good review, I always find interesting when a brand makes their own switches
Agreed! Despite the keycap situation, these are really nice switches
But is it their switch all the time. Often it is just a rebrand which is annoying. These looks new though, but lack of compatability is not fun
Love the presentation style, love the calm and collected nature of the review.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Staring at the desktop is suspicious?!? Guys, I think she knows too much.
Hahah funny
new background is nice! I have the same three little ikea pot plants too 🖤
Nice! Bought them last weekend
The videography has really gone up a level. nice one Betty and crew.
Thank you so much! Jake had a LARGE role in improving the A-roll shots :)
Really good guys thanks I recently just got my new keyboard and Im just checking others
Our pleasure! glad you enjoyed it
Been using this keyboard for 2 weeks - this review is spot-on. The switches are insanely smooth, stable, sturdy, and I really love all the features of the board. The fact that F5-F12 are media keys by default while F1-F4 still there is awesome. The left control being large was a little getting used to, but now it is great in-game. I really hope they put out an upgraded PBT keycap set after the Claymore II is released.
Ooooh an upgraded PBT keycap set would be fire
@@SwitchandClickOfficial I hope you can do a review on the ASUS ROG Strix Scope PBT. Looks awesome, has PBT keycaps and without the RGB. For those who do not want it but want the ROG aesthetics maybe?
very nice bump in video quality, the video is so much more comfortable to watch right now
Good to hear!
Wowww I love your setup! Great video :)
Thank you so much!! Glad somebody noticed the setup changes haha
Great video, very well done!
Thank you very much!
Good review bought it .
Those have the most decent stabs for a gaming keyboard. Very nice
Very nice indeed
I am really curious about the EVGA K20 Optical keyboard.
Betty I'm considering a ROG keyboard. Two questions, is it "thoonk" , second is it possible to build my own and used my Aura sync software?
another great vid!!!!
Appreciate that
It looks like their own PBT keycap set won't work or fit on the stems according to the site. Those stems on the caps is odd
Another good thing about this keyboard is that they moved ALT under X button, so now you wont break your fingers trying to reach it. Nobody ever mentions it in the reviews, even Asus didn't mention it on their web page.
New filming style and Betty closer to the camera again. Win and win.
Yayy!
Those optical switches look very interesting! It’s too bad big brands aren’t looking into hotswap as an option but I suppose there’s warranty issues to consider.
Someday someday that's all I hope for. And more unique sizes
It looks good, should i buy this or HyperX Alloy Origins? I'm not into custom boards, so i'll choose one of them i mentioned.
Morning Betty!
Morning!
Me: Turns pc on, forgot what I was going to do, stares blankly at desktop... Betty: Pretty weird, pretty suspicious...
Haha pretty sus
I'm getting mine today ... hope it's as you say ;)
Hey I'm about to get mine too today. How is your experience with this keyboard? Thanks
@@jpmac1324 go for it!
Hey guys how's the experience on this keyboard?
Just a little tip in my opinion all you need to improve in your videos requires is a higher tone of voice and a little louder ambient music in the background. Enjoying your videos.
been watching your videos as a guide for buying my first mechanical keyboard , what can you recommend , i'm a programmer from philippines. :)
It depends on what size/switch/features you're looking for
I can see those non-mx style keycaps having durability issues the way they're designed - like tiny tabs of Logitech's Romer-G keycaps breaking off
I hope they implement PBT caps too
Onboard memory has 5 slots but I can't change them with armoury crate. So if I am not missing something that feature is useless...
Mmm, stealth mode... during doing my PhD I got pretty quick in closing quake 3 arena when someone came into the office (might have been my boss). Underneath was always the browser open with wikipedia, cause yes, staring at the empty desktop would be weird :D To this day, the first page I open in the browser in my office still is the Wikipedia page, despite there is no playing Q3A anymore...
Hahah old habits die hard
Hi Betty! Is the situation where you live getting better with heat and electricity? Worrying about you
Yep, everything went back to normal on Sunday night. We did some DIY plumbing to fix the pipes, now it's like last week never happened.
@@SwitchandClickOfficial Last week for Texans was a void. I'm near Beaumont, being Gulf coast residents, we should be use to the disasters at this point.
Do you think it will be possible to review moonlander or dygma raise ?
I wish haha, such expensive keyboards
@@SwitchandClickOfficial Indeed, I do not know for the moonlander but digma has a 30-days return policy
stealth mode = pog!
a friend on the office just got this, and I've been trying it, it good for everything that he need it to, but we've been looking for new keycaps just to personalize it a little bit, but no, looks like that is not an option for this kind of keycaps, and they only sell the same black keycaps, if anyone knows where to find some two color set of keycaps for this keyboard please share with us
IS THE KEYCPAS 4 LEGS can easily broke? snap? bend? i'm afraid this kind of key caps shared the same fate like romer G keycaps (where 2 mid fin can easily broke or stuck in switch) i'm love romer G switch but hate their keycaps, cherry MX keycaps is more durable in my opinion i'm using razer keyboard blackwidow ultimate (Cherry MX blue) blue LED since 2011 and the keycaps still in prime condition until now until i switch to logi G pro TKL romer G the keycaps only last 1 year the 2 or 1 of 4 pins began to snap / broke and stuck. linear switch IS MORE GAME CHANGING, and can't go back to clicky switch anymore
I ordered this
Any feedback?
@@jvidia best and unique looking piece from ROG! the floating design will surely make you amazed! And the durability of the keyboard is mind blowing. The performance is epic too! You wont regret this! I suggest you buy this from mdcomputers.in (india) i got it for ₹6.9 K from its OG price of ₹10.5 k! Its a steal.
Have you had a look at the Huntsman V2?
Not yet
Is this better than other optical keyboards that you have reviewed like the Keychron?
Yes
@@SwitchandClickOfficial thanks! By the way, what mic are you using? I love your voice!
switches look promising but god do i hate it when rare stem switches dont come with pbt keycaps like with logitechs romer gs, its inevitable for them to become shiny and you cant replace em with pbt
9:36 what this effect i can’t find it in my keyboard
This keyboard looks very nice, but I would like to see a TKL Version of this keyboard.
There is a TKL version
@@SwitchandClickOfficial Thanks! I will check it out!
@@SwitchandClickOfficial I can only find the TKL version with Cherry MX switches not the optical ones.
I got this keyboard for 65$ The only problem i had with this keyboard so far is,one keycap(the ‘f’ key) skin is peeled off and i am not able to replace it because nothing is compatible with this keyboard, literally nothing, not switches nor keycaps. If i researched more,i would probably get reddragon and mod it later if i want to but anyway it costed only 65 so i am happy with it.
Bought a secondhand k552 kumara for 14 usd.will mod it ahahha 😂
Only 142 likes this should have 300k or something higher
That means a lot
Update on this? After 2 months of use
I got it , it was attractive
This keyboard or Corsair k60?
I'm really considering this switch in the ROG Claymore chassis for the detachable numpad & wireless feature. But as a die hard Cherry MX Blue user (yes i know i'm weird) I really hesitate about how this switch will feel/sound. Is it anywhere close to MX Reds? cause i absolutely hate MX reds their a absolute deal breaker for me.
The Claymore 2 also has their own blue clicky switch
Do you recommend this model over the "older" Scope with MX Cherry Red ? I'm worried that the optical system will malfunction over time with accumulated dirt. Thanks!
IP56 dust & water proof
nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
Non-traditional switch mech boards are catching up in the feel section/department. I already gave up numpad. Please don't make me reconsider. haha
Hahah they do have a TKL size too
@@SwitchandClickOfficial nooooooooooo Im happy with my fully modded Keychron K8. And you are the reason why I bought it. haha
@@villunboxandreviews Hahaha fully modded sounds NICE
7:44 Are you winning son key? Lol
Man those tiny keycap legs remind me of Logitech’s RomerG keycap legs, and those really did not like to stay in one piece. A lot of people had broken keycap legs stuck in their switches after around a year of use, or less. I’m excited for optical switches but I don’t trust this keycap design to hold up. They need to use stronger legs or a square stem. It’s not an issue that shows up with a 1 week or even 1 month review. I’d like to be proven wrong here. I want new keyboards to have better durability and better aesthetic qualities. We don’t want disposable peripherals that are a waste of precious resources and doomed to quickly add to landfills.
I agree, those legs do appear flimsy, especially if you take off/put on them many times. They didn't include a keycap puller, so I don't think they intent for anyone to pull them off
@@SwitchandClickOfficial Yeah, the problem with the RomerG keycaps was that you didn't need to remove them for the legs to break. You just needed the tendency to apply SIDEWAYS PRESSURE, or pressure on the edge of the keycap instead of the center, which happens a lot with keys like the left CTRL/WIN/ALT/SHIFT cluster, but randomly other keys too, for the legs to break. I've seen a lot of reddit posts where these were the first keys to break on the Logitech G413/513, and it wasn't from repeated removing. Anyway, I love your videos! Thanks for this preview of this keyboard!
@@rhoharane yep. Stuck my old G413 in the car during my recent move and the keyboard bumping around when driving destroyed two keycaps. The legs are still in the switches as well. I've resorted to super glueing the caps on since I'm getting a new 60% keyboard soon.
look,mom! Im gaming 5:53
Hahaha
This optical switches are basically the updated better version of the romer g by Logitech
Yeah. Switch design is similar.
yo dawg
Hey
lol everyones making their own switch also the brands i know thata are making them are asus rog razer hyper x logitech redragon? corsair roccat evga edit: added more
Yep, pretty much everybody. Corsair, Roccat, EVGA
hOw To LuBe ThEm?
It will be much more durable if the keycaps are pbt.

Why does the blue red brown swtiches always the most popular like for the stock keyboard not changes one they always had red blue or brown Why why the other like yellow doesent come witch the keyboard we neeed to csutom it like WHYYY i dont want to waste more money to buy it -_-
1:16 no one is a huge fan of full size keyboard
pog
Maybe a 75% roundup video, dont think anybody has done that yet
End of March
They look like old romer g switches
Maybe in looks, but they feel way better
I honestly wish they'd use detachable cables for passthrough... Just add two USB-C ports to the board, one for the board itself and one for passthrough, then add two plugs on the cable... It won't be as clean but atleast now I can take the thing with me reasonably well. Heck, then I can also just have one thin boii running across me desk instead of one chonky boii because I don't use passthrough anyways. Also, I see those 4-pin keycaps and instant PTSD towards my G810... If a pin breaks off and gets stuck in the switch, weeeeeell... have fun with that...
Anyone else feel like these companies are going to start getting greedy and making all their key-caps unique for some reason?
No idea. I wonder why they didn't go for a cross-shaped box switch design
Build quality like $50 chinese keyboards, horrible keycaps with horrible font and non-standard mounting at a $130...no, thanks. Asus still didn't learn to make peripherals...
I think they did pretty good :)
I’m not a huge fan of that font either, tbh...
2010 called, they want their fonts back.
Says misfitz 09 😉

I think it is extremely wrong of you to say how "thoughtful" they were with the design while they fumbled on their face about no custom keycaps. A No Brainer feature for even the most basic boards in 2021. At this price point people would be interested in custom keycaps and it's just plain stupid they didn't include standard stems. Hard pass.
