CINEMATIC? come on... This still look like video and doesn't remind film in any way.
The KZhead version of cinematic ;)
Fantastic thank you
There is no one on KZhead who explain the setup for studio lights better than you. Great videos. Thank you for your amazing work👍 Greetings from Germany
Thank you for making a video with an actual, realistically small room. These other videos are done in much better rooms that most don’t have.
Haha thanks! That’s exactly what I tried to achieve with this video. Nothing aesthetic about it, just a white wall with minimal space. What’s your current setup like?
This is a great quick video on simple backgrounds and lighting for talking content. Well done!
Simply amazing!!!! Tks a lot for this video. Helped me a lot.
Your videos are so dynamic, so enjoyable to watch 👌🏽. Thanks for your tips 🙏🏽
Thank you so much for this vid. I’m inspired fully. You’re brilliant. 🌈❤️
Yassss I love you ❤️. Thank you for making this
Great video! Just moved into a new smaller space so this will come in SO handy while setting up the new micro studio!
This video made it super easy to pick out some gear for a new home studio. Even though I work full time as a video pro, I wasn't sure what to buy. Great job! 🎥
Lila! such a great video, thanks so much for doing this! love the lights
Wow incredible work! Shows how you can perfectly transform a small space!!
Thanks friends!
This was incredibly helpful. Thank you!
really great (and helpful) content...thank you!
*Awesome tips!*
Happy Christmas everyone. Video was terrific!! BRILLIANTLY EXPLAINED. Looks like im buying myself some lights for Christmas ⛄.Your NEW YEAR CHALLENGE is to create a similar set up thats super cimpact for traveling and filming with a phone.
Thanks for this video!
Great tutorial! Love your lighting tutorials.
I really appreciate that!
This is the video I neeeeeded😍😍🙏🙏
“Sis, do you even lift?” “Yep. I do some... light lifting.” ba dum tsss
😂😂😂
Love it thank you as always ❤️
Thanks for watching 😊 what’s your setup like?
best ending ever :D
This set-up is amazing! But what cable do you use for the lamp in the shot to hang it? Does it come with the lamp? Can’t find it in the description and really looking for something like that! 🙏🏼
youre really good, thanks
Love the setup!
Thanks friends! 🤍
Tips and tricks. My respects!
🙏🏻🙏🏻
gotta say ive used your videos a lot for designing my studio, finally i have gotten some more space, theres still some things that i need to work out, as im often wearing black clothes, but also love the dark background, so to not blend to much into the background iver turned up quite the light. Can you do a video talking about the video settings a bit more in depth, for creating the looks. I really love the look you produce, in these videos
Will do! Try using a back/hair light. It’ll help separate you from the background :)
Great video.
Very informative, while being charming. Thanks.
I already bought the Amaran 100dS because your videos are awesome! They have REALLY changed my video quality. And my FX3 arrives today (SLOG 3 finally!) Keep it coming as I find my perfect lens.
omg yay that makes me happy! The FX3 is so nice! What lens are you considering?
@@lilafromyoutube I'm going to start with the 24mm F2.8 full frame to see how it fits in my room. I think a wide angle will show too much wall, and I do not want to blur out the background too much as my wall behind me is a statement piece of my content. If you see one of my recent videos you'll understand. I also [kinda] fixed my natural light problem. Still a work in progress. But way better now!
@CallMeLani I recommend the 24-70 gm f2.8 lens! I use it for EVERYTHING (except for vlogging) amzn.to/3XVlqQl
What's the name of the app
Very GOOD !!!
Needed this big time!
Yessss 🫶🏻 what’s your current setup like?
@@lilafromyoutube current lighting - natural window lighting 🥲😂
That’s how I started!
what would be the best back light setup? Does it need a diffuser?
your cat is like y"all here to learn huh lol thank you
Great vid. Thanks for adding value! While I won't buy a wooden backdrop (not gonna work for my space) I AM going to think of your other advice. Plus, you've put me on to other gadgets!
Ah Nice! Glad the video was helpful :) why doesn’t it work in your space? Asking out of curiosity to see if I can make something even more accessible next time :))
My space needs are a bit different with two little ones running around. Your suggestion DOES work for a small space but for me and the fam, we're already using our space creatively to maximize what we have until upgrading to a bigger home. I wouldn't have anywhere to store the created backdrop is all. @@lilafromyoutube
Hey Lila👋,You always give me an amazing ideas, You make my day to create just like that, Today😻
🙌🏻🖤
Nice! A big tv is also fun forr backdrops
Absolutely!!
Another great video. Now I'm getting new lights😁
Woooppp! Christmas is going to be deLIGHTful :)
This is golden Lila... I know so many people that struggle with the idea of getting the set ups, set up hahaha
Set up setups haha 😂 this is just a very basic low budget version but you can obviously add as many things as you want to to make it look more interesting 😊 glad you enjoyed!
Great tips🎉❤
🙌🏻 thanks
Love your channel!
Thanks Fred! What is your setup like?
I shoot my set up with a Godox Softbox mounted overhead, an RGB LED as a back light and I also have that aputure bulb for background. Getting bored with the background on my videos so may change it up!!@@lilafromyoutube
Another great video
Thanks so much! What’s your current setup like?
Thanks! I’ll have to use some of your tips :)
I hope it helps ❤️ what’s one you’ll be trying out?
@@lilafromyoutube the decorative lights in the background! At least for the start. That seems easier than buying a soft box and everything 🤗
@GiuliaonGasoline that’s fair! The decorations are going to make the setup look a lot better on camera, but a good key light setup is going to make a big difference in how it all will look.
Also, a back drop (popup or hanging) will also work and be cheaper then buying and building a wood background.
Sure! If you can drill holes etc. But I just wanted to make something super accessible as some people can’t/don’t want to do that :)
Great advice! I have the Amaran 60d…fantastic little light! I just added the Aputure 45x45 light box too it as well. 📸😎
Isn’t it? It’s so cute toooooo. How are you liking the soft box?
@@lilafromyoutube I’ve only used the box once in my latest video (about the soft box) the grid is a ‘dramatic’ change to the light spill…so far so good.
oh yeah, agreed!
I also shoot in really small spaces and I ended up getting the Amaran p60x because of the size. I can have it always mounted behind my desk and also provides really good soft light (has a softbox and a grid)
Would you recommend Amaran 60xs over 60ds for small room talking head KZhead video? All the information says that the 60ds is more powerful than the 60xs. I'm not quite sure if that matters or the 60xs is enough for my use. Hard to decide now...
@@seanchen4439 The one that I own is the p60x, that is a led panel. That said, I would expect that both have the same power as normally the number in the model is more or less the number of watts they provide.
@@davebcn87 Sorry I didn't notice that. Thank you for your clarification and quick reply. Appreciated!
The x is bicolor (warm white to cool white) and the “d” is just daylight, so 5600 kelvin. The rest should be the same! So it just depends on if you need a bicolor light or not :)
@@lilafromyoutube WOW thank you for your reply and very informative video (I kept re-watching it and others). After some survey work, now I'm at the junction of picking up one of the three choices as my key light: the Amaran 100xs, 150c or 200xs. I'm planning for my talking head KZhead lighting setup. Although I know that all these lights are more than powerful to my small room, I still want a little future-proof in case I may need some upgrade or versatile use in the coming years. Any advice on which one I should pick would be very much appreciated! (Amaran 100xs / 150c / 200xs for my first key light)
which camera and lens are you using?
Lila sister! Thank hugely much for much help!
🙌🏻🙌🏻
cool ♥
Thanks!! What’s your current setup like?
One thing I'm very jealous of is that you sit crossed legged so comfortably 😂 I've been stretching and doing yoga just to be able to do that one day 😂
hahaha sorry 😂
Very creative 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 may I know how do u hang the B7C light bulb?
I used a random lamp cord (?) I found in my house. You can get them on amazon for a few bucks I’m sure :) b7c is also battery powered so you don’t need an outlet if you don’t have one
Awesome as always! Did you ever find your missing bulb?
Not yet but I also have not cleaned up my work space yet gahaha
I would love to see this for creators who make stuff and need overhead lighting that’s fun, had depth and isn’t just that “all white” aesthetic.
Ah great suggestion :)
1:10 kitty bebé ❤
😸
Just discovered your channel. The new AI video was really helpful, so it this. Also? Love your kitty, so adorbs.
haha I agree, gizmo is a star! And thank you for the compliment 🥰 means a lot. Nice to meet you Sharon!
Nice to meet you too. I have a big fuzzy (20 lb) calico named Pixel. Gizmo, what a great name.
@sharon_hart pixel is such a good name too! So cute. And big!
Tbh I always liked your setup for each one of your videos and I was looking for ways to make a cool setup for videos.
Aw thanks! have you decided on what you're doing for your setup?
@@lilafromyoutube I want to start making something but can't get over the anxiety of being on camera and talking😬
What’s exactly giving you anxiety? Let me help you:)
@@lilafromyoutube idk I think I get super conscious of how am I gonna to be perceived by others and I can't speak the way I want to and would be so shy. Tbh I am not even comfortable talking about my weaknesses here 😬
@Ahtisham speaking on camera becomes easier and better with time. People will always have opinions, both good and bad, so the best thing is to just do it anyway. You don’t want to think back and regret never taking that leap. However, you can start making videos and not post them? Just for practice? You can publish them privately too, so no one can see it. Maybe upload some instagram stories? That’s a good way to slowly expose yourself to people too. But honestly, what people have to say really doesn’t fucking matter. Fuck em all haha! I really hope you are able to take the step if this is something you really want to do 🤍
Creative Lila in da house!!!!!!!!
Haha my DIY skills have gone 📉📉📉 though
@@lilafromyoutube liilllllaaaaa you’re the best
Could this set up work with a green screen backdrop? Your videos are terrific!
You have to light a green screen equally so I wouldn’t recommend adding colours and such. I don’t have a lot of experience with green screens but i can imagine that it results in headache when editing if you use this setup.
Love you, Lila.
🖤
great video! But how might this work when you're not able to make a backdrop like you did at 0:52?
You can try buying a paper or fabric backdrop if you can’t paint your wall.
I have used cloth backdrops. Something to consider is how tight you want the fabric. As mine were on 10 foot rods, I used a 12 foot wide back drop. If I wanted it tight (less wrinkles) I would clamp it to the stands to make it tight and put weight on the bottom.
Never Disappointed Lila , 🇳🇵 🖤
🖤🪩
Is there an RGB light that can do multiple color within the same tube?
The PTc series from amaran. Those are pixel tubes
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
♥ Will you be testing DJI Osmo Mobile 6 for livestream?
nope
I never thought about making videos on my bed haha genius
Haha I feel like a lot of OG vloggers started that way back in the day! The bed acts as a nice absorber for reverb too so that’s great :)
Impressive! I wouldn’t have know you were sitting if you hadn’t showed us (other than maybe the shot where you were showing the mini light dome)
Thanks! What’s your current setup like
is that a ragdoll cat? omg a ragdoll cat, best cats!
Haha he’s a Birman! But Birmans and ragdolls look very much alike
@@lilafromyoutube yeah, Ive got a ragdoll and cant tell them apart. Yours is super cute 😻
Impact sells the same manfrotto arm for much less. About 100 bucks or so. Sometimes cheaper on sale.
Ah nice :) does it come with a clamp?
Using gray instead of black paint will give you better saturation for your RGB lights. I use to use 18% gray with RGB 240 (Blue) and then I set my camera to 3200K to make the blue pop.
Interesting! I’m not aware of being able to buy a certain % paint where I live.
@@lilafromyoutubeany old paint store can do it, I used to work at a Sherwin Williams and when inputing the formula to mix the paint you can adjust it to a certain percent with any color.
ah cool! here I just order a colour from a swat (?) but I buy it at a home depot kinda store, not a proper paint shop.@@FishDuhhh
👍
Hello have you had any experience using LED Panel lights?
Just the p60x/c from amaran but haven’t used them in a long while. What’s your question?
@@lilafromyoutube Thanks for reply, I was just curious as I have just bought some as have a small room. That was before i saw your videos so might return them as i liked your setup of a key light directly above camera.
@FreeTechGenie-rw6qw you can try the same with a panel light and use a diffuser, but I personally like COB lights with a nice soft box better!
@@lilafromyoutube Thankyou i will see how it goes. Really like your practical advice videos. Good luck with your channel.
Somebody obviously needs to go to the gym with mr. Lindgren :) Great video, looking forward to experiment with this and document it all on my channel in the coming weeks :)
I would outlift him 100%
@@lilafromyoutube You might be right actually, he's been skipping *all* the days lately it seems: leg day, arm day, toe day and pinky day ... Btw, would you say the 65w-version is good only for *really* close up lighting of the face and not much more, or is it versatile/strong enough to be able to efficiently light up larger areas, or are we at the 100 or 150watts for larger areas?
@andresjoberg as a key light or to light up a whole room?
@@lilafromyoutube I’m thinking room/background (medium-size ish, but also product photography-style (overhead general main/key light … my brain says «get the 100 or 150 ‘cause you’re gonna find a way to need something more than 65w *really soon*» but I can’t really justify it just yet - so gonna do some tests with the 50w and 100W construction site led’s I have to try and figure out my needs, finding a way of adjusting the light intensity by adding layers of diffusion to the diy softbox - have you tried the godox60w vs amaran 65W btw?
SLOWWW DOWWWN!
You can watch it at 0.75x speed :)
your camera ?
I know a photographer who painted a room in her house photographic gray card gray. Home Depot could produce the correct color paint.
sooo what's the app called?
Sidus app
😊
Aw you’re always here!!! Thanks for checking in
Ring light as key light, LIFX bulb for hair light, 2 LIFX Bulbs shining on matte black wall behind me. $170.
If someone has a small room like that they most likely can’t afford these lights , a normal softbox can make it look good , not to mention she’s shooting with an expensive camera as well which means your phone has no chance to get even close to this quality her lens alone is 1000$… so yeah, stop overthinking about the quality, do what’s fast and efficient and spend as much as you are ok with throwing out , and focus on the authenticity of your videos, people fall in love with authentic content creators , and of course you’ll get better equipment overtime and that makes it better
Great tutorial, this has been a pain since becoming a keto creator. Thanks so much for the info
Happy to help! What’s your current setup like as a keto creator?
@@lilafromyoutube I have GVM 80W with a SmallRig RA-D55, Skytek soft box lighting kit, VIJIM LS21 Desktop Live Stand Set, led lighting on the cabinets and the 3 cam mevo system in a small kitchen 😁
@cheffatgrams sounds like a cool setup!
My petition for a grid for the Amaran Lightdome mini se as per usual. They said one is coming but didn’t say when.
I’m not sure either! But yes I’d love a grid too. It makes such a difference
is this a repost?
No?
You can touch the wall with your arm! WITH YOUR ARM! IT MUST BE SMALL THEN!!!! You can only the walls of small rooms!
bro all i can afford is my regualar home light bulb and my phone camera, this is still to expensive for me, but it was fun to watch.

Wow well explained I was seting up my room and found your video help A small suggestion though get a more engaging thumbnail
The pt2c and pt4c is the perfect way to go broke. The pt2c is a 450 dollar light. The pt4c is a 630 dollar light!
Turns the light on: major banding. Thanks KZhead. 😅
💀
Hi girl, how are you doing? Make some traveling videos. You can visit some beautiful destinations in India.
You are an awesome sells person but let's face reality. 9 out of 10 people that have such a small room dedicated for content creation cannot and will not invest in such expensive equipment.
Totally true. I clicked this video thinking about a budget setup and when I saw the equipment part, I stopped watching
I get it, but you can take it as inspiration and find products within your budget that can make a setup like this work. I will be making a budget video at some point.
@@lilafromyoutubecompletely agree, maybe using neeuer lighting you can achieve the same results, have you ever try them?
Please let me know if you are looking for video editor mam .
The prices are insane. It’s a way to go broke before you even start, get real! 🤦♂️
I just did this for around £55 - still setting up just bought four lights from Amazon with filters - will show results on my second channel.
Only issue is that there is no depth
@arthur-silva it’s definitely an investment, I’m aware of it. However, buying a keylight for anywhere between 130-200 dollars is a good price for the quality you get. There’s cheaper alternatives you can check out if you want. But you wanna keep in mind that there can be a difference in quality and fan noise. I used a different brand when I just started KZhead and the fan noise was picked up by my mic. All things you wanna consider when you spend your money on a light!
@@lilafromyoutube hmm maybe I should get the or a key light cuz my colours are fine but depth and definition lacking the lights I got I think are good for background and everything else but not key
Jesus Christ Why is everything have to be So expensive for such a small space? Everything is like from $300 to $500 and up! I mean have you ever heard of a low budget startup I mean this is way too much for anybody just starting out to spend on you got easily over thousands of dollars to set up a tiny small space in creating your own Studio! So this would not work! It seems like whatever information you got out there to do the studio that's what you went with no matter the cost! So anybody just starting out you're going to end up being broke before you can even start something and then as a beggar you cannot be choosing either you can't choose a million little light bulbs or lights or cameras to shoot your studio with so you only get one camera one light and maybe some background and that's it just the essentials.
This is a commercial for amaron/apature. Minimum 600 bucks..more like 1000 or 5000 if u want her camera and lens lol..no
camera, lens and mic is probably 5000-6000 depending on where you live!
This looks very sponsored
What gave it away? The disclaimer in the video? 😂
sorry but your key is overexposed and not cinematic at all
If you have a little more space, you could probably replace the black backdrop with a portable backdrop (like the ones used in photo studios). I haven’t done this myself, just a thought 😅
Haha yes with a little more room and budget! Tbh I just wanted to go “extreme” for this video so people see what’s possible with VERY little space. The more space the better and easier :)
@@lilafromyoutube 100%, I’ll still probably doing something a lot closer to your setup in this video.
Haha excited to see the final result!
I got a small room, 2m x 3m with a grey background … perfect video with only one light, Amaran COB 60D s with Aputure Lantern :) Now I just have to figure out the audio part and I’m ready to start my channel :) Thanks for your videos :)
Perfect! Honestly I shot this with just a shotgun mic and used Adobe speech enhance to make it sound a bit better. You can add more % to make it sound more compressed but I personally don’t mind room sound too much :)
@@lilafromyoutube I got both the Røde Wireless Me and the Røde Procaster mic connected to the Røde Streamer X, but unfortunately I’m a perfectionist, so I’m never going to be happy :D
hahaha so am I but you gotta let it go or else you'll never make a video, trust me hahaha. I have learnt to let things go
@@lilafromyoutube You're probably right :D Just had to convince myself :D
Hahaha. Just use what you got an upgrade/improve as you go (but still let things go hahaha 😂)
