  • Dune probably has the most unique and recognisable soundtrack of any blockbuster in the last two decades. It feels both futuristic and ancient at the same time. You can tell there's a rich tapestry of history lying behind it. I can easily see it entering the limited pantheon of revered cinematic soundtracks alongside Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurrasic Park, etc.

This movie is one in a decade. And the evening you spend in the theatre watching it is an evening you will remember for your whole life! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Update: I watched it again on March 8 and I'm going completely nuts, I've never been obsessed with a film like that before, it's perfection (yes, I know there are changes from the book, but I think they are for the better). I read the book 24 years ago and lost my copy a long time ago, so I'm going to re-purchase the complete saga and also the films on Bluray. This is one of those moments in my life that I'll remember forever. 'LONG LIVE THE FIGHTERS!!!' Can't wait for Dune Part 3! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

But when Jessica drank the water of life and fetus Alia Atreides opened her eyes, mixed with Hans Zimmer going absolutely bananas on the soundtrack, I kinda just accepted that this movie is too good for me to try and put on that “ehh it was alright I guess” mentality. I had to keep reminding myself throughout that “no, you are enjoying this a lot, it is moving you emotionally, stop trying to dismiss that and let yourself enjoy it to the fullest extent possible” and as much as I feel like a dweeb for being so newly passionate about some sci-fi flick, THIS FUCCIN MOVIE ABSOLUTELY SLAPS!
