    • The Byxbee Parkrun course is deceptively slow. It is a double out and back and has 3 hairpin turns plus four pretty sharp corners. It's in a beautiful area of the Baylands shoreline. A municipal airport is nearby and small plans are often taking off. The course is all loose gravel, which is slow and chews up supershoes. If the timing doesn't work out for Byxbee, the Dolphin South End Runners puts on races with a $10 entry fee ($5 for members) most weekends in SF. This weekend, they have a 10k trail race from the Beach to the Golden Gate Bridge overlook in the Presidio. That course is massively hilly and slow. It's not uncommon for their courses to have a ton of elevation gain. They have a 5k road race with 500 feet of elevation gain.

Maybe not as you crushed the last mile and change. Great improvement. Maybe some longer distance to build even better cardio along with your great track workouts, and I think the number for you later this year might be the low 14 minute range?
