  • Really nice to see you included all 4 brands from the Czech Republic, I thought there would be like Tatra (known for their Dakar succes in the 80's, 90's and early 00's, military and heavy duty hardware) and maybe Praga, known for it's legendary V3S. I really like that you included LIAZ and Avia as well :)

    • i think he just wrote down the company as a whole, because the Tesla company as a whole is from around that time and DAF did make trucks but it started as a trailer then a car business early on

    • Same thing with SDP Steyr was founded in 1864, true(not true for Daimler and Puch) not as an automotive company, guess why, but for gun barrels. They made mostly guns and cars before the war and then from 48 onward was when they made their first Truck.

  • For India, you missed two of the biggest Ashok-Leyland which has actually always been way bigger than Leyland(which doesn't even sell that much) and also actually as old as the same. It has been independent for 40-50 years now and is very much an Indian company since then just as Royal Enfield is; and SML Isuzu known before as Swaraj Mazda.

  • For Steyr, you showed a pic of an MTV built by Stewart and Stevenson, which is American. The Steyr 12m18 would be more appropriate, since they share cab designs and basic layout, but almost nothing else.

  • Good video being a medically retired trucker from the states trucks from around the world are my interest and seeing one company from America surprised me because the make anything for the American truck market and it would be nice to see them try to. Living in the Philippines you can see a lot of trucks from around the world so it gets really interesting the most common are the Japanese, American, and Chinese trucks.

    • FTF heeft nog heel lang trailers en aanhangers gebouwd onder de naam Floor. FTF Staat dan ook voor Floor Truck Fabriek. Volgens mij bouwt Pacton/Nootenboom ze nog onder die naam.

  • in regard to the UK Leyland started a LOT earlier than 1993 (the Leyland super comet is the first "modern" truck that made driver comfort a priority back in the 1950's - 1960's) also where's Scammel?

    • Fiat have produced trucks for a long time. First under that name Fiat, Then Fiat-iveco and now IVECO. Fiat still produce trucks if you include the Fiat ducato

    • And there was the Berliet Tramagal, which was used by the Portuguese Army and was built in the Tramagal city, in Portugal. That thing was a beast it would run on anything that burned, if you put diesel, or alcohol, or any high grade beverage like whisky it would run.
