My only disagreement is that she sounds even better than than. Think early Pink or dare I say it? Janis Joplin level of stardom.

Great song. Great performance. The danger for Casey here is that there is a sadly a segment of AI voters who would be turned off by just the word "gay" in the song (same conservative vote that disliked when a top singer on The Voice sang it, resulting in her getting sent home).
Adam Lambert lost to a joke for the same reason.
I thought the same. But it may turn out to benefit her after all. We shall see.
@@dawnsilver2271 I think it probably has...the silence following most seasons lately is deafening..she has been contacted and I believe will sign ..but the other finalists, no, as I suspected, they never had "it" or the whole package needed in today's market...Casey will be fine and she will be a success eventually...these producers sometimes send them on the wrong track in the wrong lane of music...and then later they will find their style ..she is mega talented and I hope and believe she makes it one way or another.

Willie, Casey and Deshawn are the best hands down. This season was full of talent but the judges definitely didn’t get the winner or final 3 right.
Casey was eliminated tonight, even though she is the most versatile singer, has the best stage presence and will have a better future in music than any of the others. Won't watch the final as the best performer was sent home. These musical talent shows never seem to get it right.
Think Adam Lambert. America usually gets it wrong. Chayce has a good shot now as he will get the country vote from Caleb. People maybe thought Casey was so good she didn't need the show anymore.
This show has always gotten it wrong except for Kelly and Carrie.
@@autkLauren Daigle won 2 grammys and didnt even make the late rounds. Maren Morris and Kane Brown too. I think genres of music make a difference. Rockers don't do well. Its a popularity contest.
@@karenhardie1132 your so right about the popularity contest and age of the voters counts too...the tweens voted Kris Allen in over Adam and the moms voted for Taylor Hicks over Daughtry..and Hicks was a clown that did nothing and Daughtry is a multi millionaire! We should know by now that America has a terrible track record with this show as far as it relates to real music industry success.
@@autk Wasn't Jennifer Hudson like 7th. You don't need to win to be successful. Katherine McPhee too. The voting demographic makes a big difference. Maybe people thought Casey didn't need the show anymore. She should of made the finale though. My bet is on Chayce now.

I think she got robbed she should’ve gone through but she’s too young to relevant and they push the ones that have big voices or if they’re pushing body image or whatever it is that they’re pushing I wish they would just let people vote according to the talent I don’t see where Two of the big voices. Will put Idol back in the spot light maybe 10 years ago the one that I think could bring put Idol back on top of singing competition Was Casey. She is young has the looks and has a killer voice. @@ossmanaskar564 Agreed.... its all for Production Value, Viewership and Variety etc I work in Broadcasting and am Super Familiar with Original Show Productions and what sells etc. Non of these shows go by " Real audience votes" exclusively. The Producers have the ultimate say who stays and goes etc. They should stop screwing with this Girls Natural Gifts! We know she can do it all.....Let her pick songs that show of her incredible versatility and vocal range.....just sad!

Casey! represents those AI contestants that lose and yet become more successful that those of lasted long in the contest.
That's always my hope for the "Casey's" every year as this show always gets it wrong with the exception of Kelly and Carrie the only 2 bona fide superstars to ever win this show.

Grace will never sell popular music and Willie's only lane is gospel. Should have been Chase and Casey. This shows voting misses the mark more than it hits....a graveyard of winners that haven't sold much outside of Kelly and Carrie.
@@autk I think Willie's our winner to be honest. He's got the best vocals out of everyone. Smooth and strong. Even if he's with gospel...he's a winner. He brought me to tears tonight with I was here...so I definitely think he's gonna win. Grace just..isn't there... and Chayce is good, but not GREAT! It was between Casey and Willie for me. They equally had amazing strong vocals, with little to no missed notes. Grace and Chayce both have hit wrong notes way too many times.
@@mariakqueen6574 the shows concept is to find a Star that can sell records...and they've only been successful at that twice. Chase is already proving he can with #1 on Country with 23..is he a perfect singer..no, but he has character and originality and that will sell his music easily..Grace writes nothing she's a pageant singer and Willie has a great gospel voice but he doesn't write his own music, no originality, he's a sentimental favorite and I agree he probably wins...but he's Ruben Studdard 2.0 we've already seen that in season 2, and he will disappear from the music scene in a year. I like Willie and he moves the listener with his voice but he's not going to be a pop music superstar..not going to happen. Casey will have a much better shot.
America usually gets it wrong, think Adam Lambert. Chayce has a good shot now because he will get Caleb's votes. The country vote is strong. People maybe felt Casey didn't need the show anymore she is that good.

Chase has already proved it with 23..he should win out of those remaining because he can sell music and he actually is a singer/songwriter ready for prime time right now.. ..none of those remaining are and "23" just might win the show for him... timing is everything and that song is a huge success already.
