She was born to be a star! She's beautiful with an incredible voice.

Just an amazing performance, and even more so given how much out of her element she was. I think this type of power ballad is more her sweet spot. And her kind of femme fatale beauty just glows through in this performance. I know she wants to rock, but there is a huge audience waiting to hear more of her in this type genre.

Okay, Judy's version just dropped to third. Casey's version of this song is now number two in my favorites. I don't think anyone will ever be more perfect in style and voice than Eva Cassidy. She is my number one - BUT - Casey nipped at her heels! Very nice.

I'm sure someone has already whispered in Lionel's ear that *Over the Rainbow* is not a Disney song: 3:38

True. But the producers of Oz asked songwriter Harold Arlen for a song similar to "Someday My Prince Will Come", and Arlen gave them 'Rainbow'- then MGM executives ordered the song cut because it "slowed down" the movie. The producers fought for the song, and Louis B. Mayer stepped in and said, “Let the boys have the damn song. Put it back in the picture. It can’t hurt.”

@@DWilliams-ce8nb Yeah, but they left out the preamble, which is okay. I'll bet that Disney wished every song that sounds like a Disney song was theirs. It could also be that, in the past they had Disney songs shows, and Lionel had a flashback to those.

Worst version I’ve ever heard
Ok, deaf?
