How to Change a Diaper on an Airplane (Baby or Toddler)
This is how to change a diaper on an airplane (a baby or a toddler). Most airplane bathrooms will have a changing table, and while the small bathroom and the small change table make the process a bit uncomfortable, it is doable! Here are my best tips and tricks.
For a toddler that doesn't fit on the changing table, there are a couple of other options here that you can try. The best advice I can give is to stay calm and positive and try to transfer that chill energy to your baby! Practice a standing pee change on the toilet at home, dress your baby for easy access, and bring a change of clothes for everyone in your carry on bag (in case of accidents!).

Hi guys! If you're not looking to drop a lot of $ on baby travel toys, here are 20+ CHEAP & DIY activities for the airplane: kzhead.info/sun/dJpymJevnXZ8knk/bejne.html
Thank you for the tips. I’m about to fly 13 hours internationally with 2 toddlers. I think talking with the fly attendant will be the key! And large disposable pee pads are ideal to cover all areas. Thanks for your video.
Oh that is exciting! Glad I could help. Good luck to you!!
“Reenactment” made me lol, thank you for clarifying for us 😂 and very helpful video!!
hehehe
Watching ur videos since have to travel after one week..my baby is not much in toys....he likes climbing since he just started walking
That can be tough! My son wasn't really interested in toys at that age either. He preferred water bottles, any kind of containers, strings, things like that. I have a video about cheap airplane activities that might help you think of some ideas :) I hope your flight goes well next week!
HI! I know you mentioned this probably in another video, but what would be the best shoes for me to get for my baby for travel. He is not walking yet (11 mo old) but id like his feet to be protected and who knows maybe hell surprise me by walking at the airport for the first time haha Thankyou!
Oops sorry if I’m too late on this, but my favorite shoes for travel during that stage were soft “moccasin” like slippers (they have them on Amazon). Search for toddler moccasins. Theyre great because they’ll protect your baby’s feet but aren’t clunky!
@@wayfaringhumans thank you!!! Just in time!!! I’ll order those today
@@michellerobison8888 yay! have a great trip!
Maybe another good tip is if your toddler is walking and standing try nappy pants that way u will have no problems changing them standing up you can just pull up the nappy pants and your done
I love this! For pees especially. But I tried to do a poo standing change once with nappy pull-up pants and pulling them down the legs with poo in them... did not go so well -- haahah :(
@Wayfaring Humans haha oh ya poos r a little hard when standing done that before haha
@@wayfaringhumans I had the same concern, until my mom pointed out to me that you're supposed to tear up the sides when you are taking the pants off, not pulling them down. 🫣🫣🫣 Might be useful to someone else, I know it helped me out a lot.
@@cristinaion4279 Oh my gosh, you know what? Somewhere in my mooshy mom brain, I think I knew this once upon a time! And completely forgot. Thank you so much for bringing it up -- you have to tear the sides! yes!
No floor change please
Ya gotta do what ya gotta do!
the floor is so unsanitary how can it be safe for a baby
Agreed, it is not ideal. This is for people who have no other option -- and the baby should not ever touch the floor. A large changing mat should be put down for them to lie on.
Bring disposable plastic gloves n throw out...gel doesn't kill all. Germs yuck
Whatever works for you.
Germs will get on your baby from your gloved hands though 👀 I would imagine soap should take care of it if not sanitizer.
Just.put a new diaper over dirty until off plane
Yikes.
eeeww that is so unsanitary and very uncomfortable for your baby. Your baby will also have a very bad diaper rash if you let poop sit.
Try not 2 fly w kids
Nope!
