FYI - getting a "not found" when clicking on this link. Great video 👍 Thanks for making it
@@delynd2663 Thanks for letting us know. I fixed it. Check it out here - howtoflyfirstclassforfree.com/ :)
I find it surprising that after looking up so many videos/articles about flying with a baby, NO ONE (that I saw) mentioned that the bassinet in economy is only attached after the plane gets to altitude and has to be removed when landing. Baby also can only use it for sleeping (not to sit in and play) and if there is any turbulence, you have to remove baby to sit in your lap with the infant seatbelt on. It made it so stressful for me on the flight to not have known these things beforehand.
I think it depends because I've seen babies playing in basinet during long flights and no one had problem with that. During turbulences there's a mesh in bassinet that you cover it with to make sure baby won't fall. Probably it's different in every airline
Awesome 👍 I am a single dad traveling with my 2 year old daughter for the first time . Very helpful video thank you !
As a dad that likes to travel, these are some great tips!
That was amazing information!
Thank you this is helpful. It's also lovely that you are both so eloquent!
Very informative ty !! Off topic I love the chemistry btwn you guys
This is the video I was looking for. Thank you! I just gave birth 2 months ago and we are planning a trip. I’m trying to get my ducks in a row in time for our trip!
This is great, we just had a baby girl we have traveled everywhere and we don’t want to stop so thank you for this!
Congratulations on the baby girl! You'll do fine traveling with her. ❤😀 Let us know when you take your first trip!
This was very informative and encouraging, thank you! Requesting a part 2 to cover any other travel items to pack (vs rent) once you arrive! Bassinet, black out tent, items for feeding, ect 😊
Great questions. here's a short answer.. Bassinet or crib - we rent or ask the Airbnb host or hotel if they have one. Black out tent. we haven't used ours yet. We may in the future. Coco brings her Elvie pumps, 2 bottles, and a brush to clean everything. Carseat, we did not bring one to Europe, we rented one.
How do you rent a car seat in other countries like in Europe? Or sometimes do you use your nuna car seat? I have the same nuna car seat and the stroller nuna mix but I don’t want to travel with the nuna stroller because it’s too bulky. Do you use the nuna with adapter for the boogabo?
I feel like this was a mom video with explanations and a dad overview at the end. I love this format.
So glad you liked it!
that was excellent, just what we were looking for! Thanks from Scotland!
You're welcome 😀
Nice fun video thanks for sharing these awesome tips look forward to having a pleasant first flight with my little one 🥰
Thanks for this great content. I had a few questions: 1. Is the car seat checked in as a seperate/ additional piece of luggage? 2. How big are the stroller bags? Provided you had one of those 3in1 strollers with the interchangeable car seat/ basinnet fittings and used the car seat attachment to the stroller base and wheels, would the car seat and folded stroller frame easily fit into the stroller travel bag? Or would you need to buy both the stroller bag and the car seat bag seperate?
Such an informative video!! Thank you for all the great info!!
You're so welcome! Hopefully it helps and good luck 👍
You guys did a great job on making this video. Really awesome and thank you.
Thank you so much! We hope it helps. 😀
Thanks a lot for such an informative and empowering video. Traveling in 2 weeks and this is JUST what I was looking for! Hope everything will be okay!
You got it! everything will be okay 😀
Thank you so much for making this video.
We're so glad you liked it!
Good stuff; thank you guys…
So helpful thank you
Thank you guys!
Thank you thank you for this video!!!
So glad you liked it!
Hey, I loved the video and tips :) But pls, Scott what is the brand or model of you cap ? :)
You are amazing. Thank you also for showing us not so happy times. We will have our first flight , 2 hrs and then 11 hrs and I am extremely terrified. My 1 yr old is super active and high maintanance.
I have to travel for military. This is my first time flying with a newborn- this video made me feel so much more at ease
I'm so glad it helped! best of luck. you got this!
If this isn't a complete video for baby on airplane traveling, I don't know what is! You've come a long way since your first trial on the road travel, not long ago! Good for you guys! 👍 🥰 Good to note Collette, on feeding baby during flight. Alot of people Should take note of 🙌
Thank you for the informative video! Did you check the Bugaboo Butterfly stroller? Or carried it on?
we carried it on and put it in the overhead.
What a great video 👏🏽👏🏽
So glad you liked it!
Hello! Where did you find the foldable mat for the airport tummy time?
My wife and I just purchased a bugaboo butterfly! Has any airlines given you trouble with taking it on board? Also do you have a bag you can recommend for it in the event we need to gate check it?
Where did y’all get your small travel play mat shown in the video!?
Curious about the earmuffs in your thumbnail.. what situations do you use those for?
Traveling from Scandinavia to Atlanta Georgia in the US when my baby is four months this fall! So exited, but also nervous :P
You'll do great!
This is great! Taking my little man on his first plane ride (he’s 3months old) and I’m terrified! Thanks guys ❤
You'll do great! Best of luck 😀
Wow! This was a really helpful! My husband and I are traveling with our baby for the first time next month and we need all the tips! I feel a lot more confident now! Thank you again! 😊
That's so great to hear! Best of luck. Let us know how it goes! :)
@@Roamaroo thank you! I will! 😊
Awesome video
Thanks so much! so glad you liked it.
Do you have a link for the play mat?
Hi, Great video, lovely family and all the information being shared is very useful. Can you please share stroller bag info, not able to find under baby gear details, thanks 👍
amzn.to/451JQeo - Here's the stroller - there's no bag because we fold it up and store it in the overhead.
is there a minimum age to fly? especially intercontinental to Europe?
Very informative video. Thank guys! How old was your baby when you took your first flight?
first flight she was 3 months.
Maybe they are talking about internal flights.Lets ask on Friday
how would people know they're booking a middle seat next to a baby
Do you need a bag for butterfly stroller to take it to the plane?
You do not need a bag for the stroller when taking it on the plane ✈️
Am i missing the link for The mat used in the airport ?
Here it is.. amzn.to/3vWHJNi
Any recommendation on how to transport the car seat thru the airport when you have all your other bags and stroller also?
we have a backpack carrier we use. amzn.to/42zsdml
The backpack works.. but it's not the best. Car seats are SO bulky.
My stroller is nuna babybee. I don’t think it will fit in the overhead. Or if it fits too will take two spots. I have not seen people taking stroller in the plane.
We have the bugaboo butterfly and it's the same size as a normal carry-on.. however, it doesn't count as one of your carry-ons.
I'm feeling anxious about watching this vedio .. whyyyy 😢😢😢
can you clarify the timing of the feeding suggestion for take-off / landing, (begin at taxi and until you reach10,000 ft, or for 20 min or ?? and then the reverse during deceleration or final approach through landing?) Thanks
It’s hard to time it perfectly but basically if your ears are popping we try to feed her. Now that she’s older, 14 months, we’re not as concerned. A pacifier and occasional water bottle seem to do fine.
Do you usually not take the base of your car seat with you when you travel?
No base. Ours works with and without a base. It’s the Nuna pipa lite rx
Thank you for the video! do they ask for birth certificate even if you have the baby’s passport ?
Not normally - you should be fine with the passport.
It's very easy to travel with a baby but hard with a toddler lol
Very informative! Headphones for the baby - what brand are you using? !
amzn.to/3pWP8sO here they are!
@@Roamaroo thank you! There are so many headphones out there. It’s good to but something that someone else have tried :)
There’s some great advice here - we weren’t in a financial situation to fly when our boys were tiny. My sister’s comment (with her regular flights from Tanzania to the uk) is that taking a baby on a plane is a walk in the park but taking a toddler is… interesting! 😆
If you put a baby to sit before his body is ready, it puts an excessive load on weak body systems and can lead to problems with the musculoskeletal system for all life😢
I really didn't like that "hit the road" was used so much when talking about air travel.
How do you warm the milk once out?
We normally breast fed on the plane and saved the milk for our destination. We also never warmed the milk. We would just take the chill off by holding the bottle of milk in our hands for a few mins.
If kids are well educated
💖👶💖💖💖💖💖
May I please know how much formula can I bring when we fly. Because I have 24fly . With baby 9 months.
The TSA doesn’t have a specific number, but you can bring more that the typical 3.4 Oz or 100 ml. It is recommended that formula is transported in clear, translucent bottles if it’s already mixed with liquid
I brought a whole can in my diaper bag. And also some in those easy to store formula container with like 4 water bottles (never opened/closed). Just remember it has to be in the diaper bag.
How do you freeze milk In a thermos 😮
Hey there.. do we need a ticket for infants too?
If they’re under 2, no
Please fly to BALI..
We LOVE Bali.. we'll need to come back some day. ❤😀
How do I warm up my milk!?
Great question. We didn't really warm the milk. We swirl the bottle in our hands to warm it up a little and take the chill off but we didn't worry about it being "warm".
@@Roamaroo thanks for the response!!
@@keepingupwithq7174 will a portable milk warmer from Amazon will be allowed?
Does your child have a frequent flyer membership? I ask because I have met many couples traveling on flights over my years of flying, and everyone of these people enrolled their children in a frequent flyer program or two. I even met a teen who flew over 1 million million miles before being allowed to drive. Now she said that she basically flies for pennies because she has so many miles. Instead of the birth certificate, can you use an form of ID like your child's passport?
Yes she is enrolled on her way to the million milers club. Yes, a passport is a perfect form of ID
Can the baby be in the program if they are lap babies?
@@Fattiapples Your child can only earn miles on flights if they have a plane ticket in their own name. You can buy a plane ticket for them and still keep your child on your lap. Buying the child a ticket will also give you more space because your child is legally the person assigned to that seat for that entire flight.
Have you ever travel in a Ryanair flight with the bugaboo?
great question.. we have not. are you worried if it will fit?
Yes. It exceeds the dimensions even of Ryanair priority bags. I think you always have to send it to the hold and they don't always give you the stroller at the plane door. many other European companies have the same policy
Lmbooo I got called the worst dad in dad history because I took a trip with our baby when she was a month in a half. Mind you it was a road trip to see my family 😂😂😂. I didn't even fly I wanted to fly but the mom said no lets drive. 🤦🏾♂️ So we drove.
Hai. How old is your baby when you took this plane? I will be taking my baby (she’ll be 6 months old) for 15 hours on the plane in total, and 2 hours layout in dubai airport. I’m ver much frightened.. will she be okay? What if she got sick? My husband is very scared too. We r thinking of going to europe, n we will have road trip across borders. Can u please share your advice.. to go or not to go?😭😭
Our first flight with her was at 3 months. We flew to Europe when she was ~6 months. That is a really long flight but you should go. You can't control everything. Just follow our tips in the video and go. RE sickness - pack baby meds.
When she was 6 months old.. how long was the flight? Was she breastfed? Did she go back to sleep after her feeding? Did she get crancky?
I’m flying with 2 babies idk why I can’t sit next to my wife they won’t allow it anxiety on a different level and a young adult but I believe I can do this
Plan a flight around the baby schedule. LOL the Airlines change the flights!!! duh. I had the perfect flights and then BAM the Airlines changed my flight to horrible travel times.
Which is your favorite airline? :)
I came just for the baby headphones but that wasn’t explained😫
Here's the link. Honestly we rarely used them. The only time we did was when we were boarding a plane outside. amzn.to/49eabIp we also have these headphones for travel too. amzn.to/3HDd1Lf
No thanks. I will not be that guy that everyone hates his guts on a flight because he's got a screaming baby. My babies won't get on a flight until they're 25, when I'm sure they won't scream by then. 😂
Hello thanks for All amazing awesome vlogs could I please say all your sons best amazing awesome big brothers ever and all your daughters best amazing awesome big sisters ever and all your sons best amazing awesome little brothers ever and all your daughters best amazing awesome little sisters ever could I please be all your sons best friend ever and all your daughters best friend ever and all your family best friend ever
yes they're an attractive couple but everything they're saying is obvious
Babies should always be in their car seat, in their own ticketed seat, on a plane.
Not always. I’m a flight attendant. Parents can absolutely fly with their infants on their lap if the child is under 2.
DO NOT change your baby on an open chair! GROSS!!
You guys talk too much. Just get to the point.
Can you cut the bullshit and go straight to the point ?
