Alt........ sieht aus wie neu! heheheh ;)
Hey man, very nice job!! In Berlin sometimes I find cheap VEB Elektrogeräte... Was wondering where you ordered the perfectly fitting replacement parts. Do you have a link? Thanks
Once again - beautiful work Sir! Great to see you using your sanding rig (that I watched you build last night when I should really have been sleeping!!). The philosophy of restore not replace has so many plusses - the development/engagement of wonderful skills, the obvious environmental benefits and in most cases, you wind up with a fully functional item that was built to a far higher standard than a modern version. I applaud you again for bringing your skills into view to inspire others! Many regards and thank you from Sydney, Aust - Dave

Beautiful restoration, I love your 2 color grey. Thank you for sharing your amazing story. God bless you and your family
Thanx buddy. You too.
Older video i realize, but those stones really need dressed. Looks like aluminum particles embedded in them. Thumbs Up!
Awesome job. I love to hear a grinder wind out..
What I like most about this channel is that he is not a bombastic American who lives only to make a buck from their KZhead channel, bolster their ego and "shop", who sounds like a used car salesman on steroids, who talks you through every opinion about the topic they have, who begs you to subscribe and support them. He is a creative man of action and few words, not in ya face like yanks.
Have you considered seeking medical help?
@@mortkebab2849 Oh, many times. But the queue is always far too long because of Americans in therapy.
@@thedolphin5428 Why are Americans in your queue unless you're one yourself, or choose to live amongst them?
@@mortkebab2849 Ha ha. Not an American. People sometimes ask me where I'd like to travel in the world. I only have one answer -- anywhere that's not America.
Ellerine sağlık ustam. Çok güzel iş çıkamışsın. Başarılar diliyorum.
very meaningful boskuh 👍
INCREDIBLE WORK.
good old DDR Stuff ;-)
Beautiful work! I like those old machines.

Lovely machine, lovely resto, i would have that on my bench in my man cave any day.
A very nice restoration, well done.
Awesome work..
Very nice work
Great job, looks fantastic 👌
Meus parabem você é um gênio e um grande profissional
Excellent restoration! Just a small point: paper should be placed between the grinding wheels (both sides) and the retaining washers. This helps protect against wheel cracking when tightening and important for your safety.
I remembered it and put the paper. Only on the camera did not take it. But thank you for the advice.
@@meanwhileinthegarage You are most welcome. Again, nice work!
You really should get or make yourself a sandblaster. A small cabinet, small gun, bag of garnet grit, air from compressor, eazy peasy. VERY USEFUL for restorations.

So satisfying video!!!
You hammered the grinding wheel to get it off, and then you reused it. Bloody hell
Nice job thanks for sharing 👍👍👍👍
Que belleza de restauración 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Good job
Better than the new one i bought from lidl XD!!!
Nice job, looks beautiful!
I would take a chance an in the meantime give it some grease and change the cables for new ones, these are quite old :) but great work anyway!
Good work
Schönes Ding !!!

Nicely done
I hope you finish this soon and post it. I want to see it when its Painted
The sound difference from hand spinning at 1:01 to turning it on at 9:13 is so satisfying. Course you couldn't even plug it in at the start. Way to save a great one. #throwawaythethrowawayculture
Amazing
Danke fürs Video! Gute Arbeit,Ich vermisse nur Schild mit Ihre Logo MWIG...Mit freundlichem Gruß aus Deutschland!
Very soon I’m going to be able to brag that I subscribed whilst you were still under 500. A faultless restoration in my book, and it certainly looked brilliant finished.
Then there will be something to remember. Thanks frend.
I give him the 500th sub, lol!
Raul Gajadhar That must be about 20 subscribers in a day then, I'm not in the least surprised though. I think this channel will grow as quickly as my mechanics.
Very nice work... I warned you that if you kept up this kind of work, I was going to subscribe... So it's a done deal now...
Nice job
I gave you the 500th sub, it was a clean restore!
Raul you wrong! You are Number 1 Sub :-) Welcome Dude !!

Very nice job bro.. Even if u are German.. j.k.. Germany makes some fine products.... Get u a new stone for that grinder...
Where are we Russia????
Pretty cool. Did you spray a Hammerite/Hammerschlag paint on? If so, did you have to thin it out with paint thinner?
very nice mate......you chould have made the on-off switch from aluminium :D AND have put a sticker on the motor with "Meanwhile In The Garage" logo :)
You just read my mind Dude )) I want to make my logo and that it would be not just a sticker but a logo of good quality
Thank you friend. Maybe next time.
Fantastic! Why the heating and dousing? What did you douse those parts in? 5:22
Do you think you could have spent a minute on the power switch plate? ;) Nice one, dude, but change those wheels before you put it to serious use. You need to make more vids for us.
👏👏👏👏👏👏
After heating on the gas stove, what did you quench the parts in to give them that color?
Here from your comment on my mechanic's video
You'r welcome
Excellent! Down to the last detail! Could you explain what the blackening process was, was it anodization or something else?
Of course. This is a very ancient method. Gives black color and protects against corrosion. I used linen oil.
My first comment was about 1:25 in to the video when you hose the debris from the machine and got some in your eyes
May I suggest a pair of safety goggles next time
Question what did you do Exactly did you just left that grinder in the ground or did you found it
Very nice. What are you putting the hot parts into? That's to get the black color, correct? Thanks.
Thnx , i put them in to Linen oil(linseed oil)
Indeed to get dark color
Turned out great! Where did you find it?
thank you friend. Found at the metal scrap.
Well, that explains all the dirt at the beginning! @@meanwhileinthegarage
Bom dia Like
That thing is a monster. What HP?
900w, it is 1.224 HP.
👍
great job , I have a question : why did you put some pieces on fire? What is the Liquid that placed the pieces in it?
Thanks. To get it black and rust project
Podoba mi się . Z jakiego metalu jest korpus szlifierki ?
Should not have reused the old emery wheels, especially after hitting them with a hammer.
Hey. Nice work !! Where are you from?
Thnx buddy. I am from Belgium.

Good afternoon, l have the same one and doesn't have the capacitor.. Do you know the value and what type to use?? Thank you!

BTW the Belt Griner on 02:47 i made self to use it when i make new restoration videos. You can watch video making of it here: kzhead.info/sun/bLeicbZvjXZ3fYE/bejne.html
I know this is an old video, so comments may not get read, but three safety issues here.. 1. Never, ever reuse an old grinding wheel without first testing for cracks, you could end up with a face full of shrapnel as it explodes. 2. All grinding wheels should be mounted with “blotters” - thick paper ‘washers’ - either side of the grinding-wheel to equalise the clamping forces on the wheel. 3. Don’t slow the wheel once motor is shut off by grinding on it, it takes the wheel out of balance by taking more material off one place in the wheel. Nice restoration, but unsafe wheel maintenance. Sumbody bury. I recovered.
Why do you burn the pieces?
Got to wear eye protection.
You right, next time i’ll wear eye protection
Sorry I meant 25 seconds in not 1:25
Normally I use safety glasses, but not this time. At 0:25 I got some dust in my eyes.
