#3 Georgia Bulldogs vs. #2 Alabama Crimson Tide: Extended Highlights | CBS Sports HQ

2020 ж. 16 Қаз.
714 011 Рет қаралды

Even a positive COVID-19 test in the middle of a game week could not stop Nick Saban from continuing his streak of perfection against his former assistants as No. 2 Alabama outlasted No. 3 Georgia 41-24 on Saturday night in a game with SEC championship and College Football Playoff implications. Alabama announced several hours before kickoff that Saban had been cleared to coach from the sideline following a series of negative tests, and he oversaw another offensive masterpiece from the Crimson Tide as he improved to 22-0 all-time against his former assistants.

    • After the 2018 SEC Championship game loss he vowed to never make another Alabama trash talk video until UGA manages to beat Bama. Well, of course he tongue lashed the Tide at halftime stating “there is absolutely nothing Alabama can do to win this game!” When is he gonna learn that you have to win all 60 minutes of the game. They don’t hand out trophies for the team that’s ahead at halftime.

This will be a 50 yard touchdown pass which isn’t very promising, then I’ll be damned if he didn’t send out the FG team, I said omg that argument was stupid, then BOOM. And I almost died, that kick was like a championship for bama fans.

  • Wow! What did Coach Saban say to his team at halftime? He lit a 🔥 under their behinds, that’s what! Way to go Tide! Take pride in your journey as a top tier NCAA College team. I’m a fan whether you win or lose a game or title. Props to Georgia, they’ve some very talented and dangerous players who can score and change the game in a split second. Alabama adjusted after halftime and Georgia didn’t isolate their key elite players enough. Also, Alabama’s defense really stepped up the second half. Some of Georgia’s offensive line and some players on defense looked exhausted. Alabama just keeps coming at you again and again. Conditioning is a key factor in becoming a professional football player. Smart college athlete’s learn that they have to focus on academics first, then their perspective sport. College partying and negative extracurricular activities aren’t conducive to becoming a true professional athlete. Again, great work Alabama! 🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘

When Clemson defeated Alabama in the Championship game that Clemson fans throw up into Alabama fans faces regularly. I believe that Clemson played like a professional football team and Alabama played like a fair college football team. You have good days and bad days. • @@cashoutdre9059 clearly neither Auburn or Tennessee deserved to be ranked in the first place. I mean Auburn only barely beat Kentucky (I'm not counting Arkansas they lost that one in my view), they got blown out by you, and dominated by Arkansas. Tennessee barely survived South Carolina, whopped Vandy, the worst team in the SEC, and everyone thought they were the shit, and then they faced a competent team in Georgia and reality hit them, and then they got obliterated by Kentucky. As far as I'm concerned, Florida dominated Ole Miss and South Carolina, and Ole Miss beat Kentucky who whipped UT, and South Carolina beat Auburn. The fact is, Florida and Georgia are still a toss up. It'll be a close one, but I for one ain't betting on that game.

Tua who wore 13 threw a 41 yard pass to the same number 6 to beat georgia in the national championship. 41 is the 13th prime number. Assign values 1-9 to the first nine letters of the alphabet. Then repeat for the next nine letters. Then 1-8 for the last 8 letters. A=1, L=3, A=1, B=2, A=1, M=4, A=1 for a total of 13. This game was on 10/17/2020. • In retrospect, this game shows how teams either progress or regress the most during the season as opposed to the spring or offseason. Alabama got stronger and stronger as the year went on - from the defense to the “Big Three” on offense. Georgia on the other hand went reeling after this game and never recovered. Despite being only two years removed from a national title game appearance, there are even quiet rumblings about Kirby Smart’s job if he has another bad year or two.

    • @@robert4039 There were never rumblings about Kirby Smart. If you were actually able to access VIP boards there was more smoke about the offensive philosophy which was the largest critique of Kirby. Todd Monken alongside Buster Faulkner brought massive institutional changes to the Georgia offensive board with Kirby's blessings - which was the only issue people had with Kirby. You were not going to fire him, or even negotiate a lesser contract, with his production on defense and his trending upwards development of position groups. I cite Rusty Mansell, which he himself stated that Kirby (on multiple occassions throughout 2019,2020 season) was not being targeted by any Administration within Georgia's facilities; it would have taken far longer for Kirby to have genuine "rumblings". No idea where you got that belief from, even looking through archives on multiple Dawg sites including 247 and various other exclusive content media outlets there was nothing I could find.

    • @@robert4039 Just so happened that Todd Monke & Buster Faulkner's institutional changes were actually a positive once they settled in. Kirby had nothing to prove at this point and yet still proved people that were doubting him OUTSIDE of the walls wrong. No-one inside doubted him.

    • @Noah Okay, this is my fault, I mentioned Kirby Smart at the time but my main point by far was that teams develop the most during the season. This is because you are being put through tests in competition every week so teams are either going to adapt and get better or regress. That was 90% of my point really. I didn’t intend to get you guys going on Smart, who by the way I have a tremendous amount of respect for and have for years.
