This basically was an NFL game😂 so much pro talent on both teams
SIX first round WRs on these two squads! Unbelievable. Not to mention THREE Heisman finalist QBs on the rosters as well (Burrow of course being the actual 2019 winner).
When we played in 2011 it was the both the defenses that were out of this world and had the NFL talent that was talked about all year this time it was the offenses that were out of this world and they both lived up to the hype and have CFB fans a show

The most talent I’ve ever seen in a college game. Two top ten QB’s. SIX elite receivers (Smith, Chase, Waddle, Jeudy, Jefferson and Ruggs). Two top notch running backs. Multiple first round DBs (Diggs, Surtain, Stingley, etc). Other talented players like Leatherwood and Queen. It honestly makes no sense lol

yeah this game has a lot of talent but idk if anything beats bama vs ohio state 2014 sugar bowl, there is so many players in that game that are still relevant today after so many years
This was a straight up NFL game on both sides look at how many of these guys play on Sundays and at a high level too
Its really crazy looking back at it and seeing all of the talent on the field. Alabama and LSU were stacked that year.

I feel like Clyde’s spin at 10:10 is the most overlooked play. The DE had him dead to rights and the dude Houdini’d his way out of it. Still gives me chills 3 years later.
looking back this had to be one of the best college football games in recent memory when you think about what was on the line at the time, the amount of NFL players that were playing on the field that day (both offense and defense), and how good the game itself was. These two teams were juggernauts.

This game is definitely top 10 I've ever seen. Alabama had won 31 straight home games. Nearly all the experts thought LSU was a solid team, but thought they would have to make the playoffs as a one loss team without a conference title (kinda like how everyone for sure thought USC was going to beat Texas in the 2006 Rose Bowl). Nope! LSU played one of the greatest games in their history and got a win for the ages.

Growing up in Louisiana, born in '99, I barely remember the first two national championships. I remember the rematch in 2011, in full detail. That pain has stuck around for the past 8 years, and tonite, that ANNOYANCE has finally gone away. Geaux tigers. Burrow for Heisman
When Miles wouldn't put Jarrett Lee in and we never made it past mid-field in the NCG, that's when I lost faith in Miles and every Bama matchup after that was so painful to watch

This was the real game of the century. I'm an Alabama fan, but Joe Burrow was so fun to watch in this game.

2 vs 3 matchup, High scoring offenses, Heisman Players, @ Slot, Big Rivalry, November Game, Playoff Hopes, Big Comebacks. This game had it all. Truly one of the best games i have ever watched.

In terms of REGULAR SEASON games, I agree. The 2013 Iron Bowl and 2016 Ohio St-Michigan were two others (Notre Dame-Stanford in 2012 was pretty insane too).

This season was so legendary that it started a pandemic.
Hindsight is always 20/20 but considering what LSU would go on to do ,on this very day , this was easily the 2 best teams this year in CFB. Both Burrow and Tua played lights out as well as both teams WR and RBs were unstoppable. A command performance from 2 elite teams Following this game the injuries would later take down Bama but at this moment we saw the best of the best from both sides .

Leonard, Jarvis and OBJ had the misfortune of playing for a coach who had no idea how to develop a passing attack. That's what happens when you recruit "athletes" and put them in at QB. Jordan Jefferson, Anthony Jennings, Brandon Taylor... They all SUCKED and couldn't generate a win when the pressure was on. Les Miles' BCS championship was accomplished with a QB, Matt Flynn, recruited by Nick Saban. Mettenberger was good but not great. Burrow is GREAT. Thank you USC for not hiring Ed Ogeron when you had the chance! GEAUX TIGAHS!

As for Les, he fucked up bad when he didn't put the other guy in the National championship game vs Alabama. LSU the whole game was holding Alabama to only field goals. We coulda made a come back. That game is the biggest what if in the history of college football. Also honey badger fucked up to with them drugs. If LSU beat Alabama twice like they did, that would have went down in history especially since we beat the mighty Oregon Ducks, West Virginia and other ranked teams that year.

the 4th qtr for LSU was the Burrow Edwards--Helaire show. Those two really put it away for the Tigers and came up with the plays when mattered most. Great job stopping that 8yr drought.

Every now and then I come back to the 2019 LSU football team’s season and just watch in awe at how good they were, I think they are the best college team I’ve ever seen. Just absolutely dominant no matter who they were facing.
If only Landry & OBJ could've played in this offense during their time at LSU. Bama defense got exposed once again against a good team. OU did it for a little bit, Clemson did it, LSU followed it up.

ima bama fan but this was one of the greatest college games I've seen in while ,wow you forget how electric this game was and the magnitude was sky high, just everything was great
As an Iowa fan who was technically neutral for this game, this reminds me of the 2006 Rose Bowl. ALMOST as crazy. Think about it: Down to the last drive, two of the best QBs in CFB, a team that almost never loses at home, two of the biggest brands in the SEC, two high powered offenses, crazy turnovers, this almost feels like a national championship game. Probably one of the greatest wins LSU has ever had.

As an individual game, I'd probably say our blow out win over Ohio St in 2017, but several others are very close. Want to know something crazy? The first time we faced Jim Harbaugh was in 1985 (before I was born though) with him as Michigan's QB. Iowa won on a last second field goal and ended their unbeaten season (we were ranked number one at the time, they were two). The first time Harbaugh came to Kinnick as Michigan's head coach, he came in with a Top 3 squad in 2016. We won (how else?) on a last second field goal and AGAIN ended Michigan's unbeaten season! What are the odds of that?

I will never forget, as a Bama fan,i did not care about the result. Once the 4th qtr hit i was essentially just a football fan marveling at the fight between these two teams. Congrats LSU!
