    • @@foxxy-3748 The US relies less on public transportation for two reasons: 1. because in many poorer countries there are tons of people who can't afford a personal vehicle, and 2. among developed countries, the US is still underpopulated in many areas of the country, and public transit makes zero sense in rural or even suburban settings. The only time public transit makes sense is when you're so crammed into a city that personal vehicles cause too much traffic and/or your workers can't afford cars and you need to get them to the factory. Having your own vehicle is clearly preferable. So when Europeans bring this up as some kind of a flex, they are just being resentful little haters, because that's just how Europeans are. It's the same nonsense with "free" healthcare. Yeah, "free" at 75% top tax brackets and crappy government run hospitals. Yeah, huge flex there, Europeans. Moral of the story: if you're going to indulge whiny little Europeans, get your facts straight first. The grass isn't greener.

    • Yeah, I was at a Slipknot concert a few weeks ago and didn't like the vibe. The audience was super nice and friendly, which was awesome; but it was the band that seemed immature. They kept bashing everyone who didn't like metal and saying that metalheads are better than everyone. They also just seemed like they were trying to be edgy just because. Don't get me wrong, they're amazing musicians, and they played incredibly well, but at times, they just seemed unintentionally immature and naive.
