Hi Mont, When I heard what Nitrox said about using the promotional material to later use it in a complete animation, it made me remember and I don't know if it's inspiration or coincidence that they used the Calamity Minecraft Animation material to make the animation of Space Derp, always consider that video as an inspiration, what do you think? (I hope you can answer please)
@@AinaraVC Not sure. Unless Sam said something about that in his behind the scenes for Space Derp, I don't think Calamity had any influence on it, but again I have no idea sorry.

As someone who has been following the channel for 6 years, its really cool to hear your stories and what its like behind the scenes. Great to see nitrox back as well

@@Asiuna I looked back at the older videos and remembered what it was. We were actually invited to be part of their 'animation festival' at RTX one year. It wasn't anything too special, we were just one of many 'small animation creators' being showcased in a small presentation. None of us were able to attend, but we would have been offered VIP badges if we could be there

You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. Yes, David did something horrible. That does not make it right for you to dismantle everything he has done for the past 10 years. You should have made an announcement on the BPS channel about what happened and that there will be no more posts on the channel. At the same time you should have created a new channel with your "re-branding" and put links for it in the last video of BPS. This is just shamefull. You can call this podcast whatever you want. You can try and unlist all the videos that David ever touched but you will never get rid of the fact that he made BPS what it was and therefore what "Squared Media" is today. Just because you change your name, some people leave and others come back, and you make a few announcements and videos, it does not mean you can erase the history of this channel. You are constantly talking about David's work but not him. Not saying his name will not make this situation any better. The machinemas from the start, skywars, blocking dead, animation life, songs of war and everything else he made cannot be replicated. You said it yourselves at around 25:00. This is all just a mockery of many people's work over the past decade and your try to have your turn of "fame". Nothing else. You say about potential new series that "will outperform SoW'' and that people will still be commenting about its season 2 at around 33:00. That is exactly my point. So just stop to try and "change the direction of the channel". Make another channel where you can start fresh and leave David and his work rest. I get it and you guys seem to have a nice plan for the future. However, pretending David was never here is just wrong.

@@nocturnus6276 I never said he should be celebrated nor did I say this community should still exist. I just said they should not try to change bps. They should let it be. No more videos, no more content. Just leave the channel as it is with its videos and go and make a new channel.
Appreciate the comment, but with respect I feel this wasn't approached right in a few areas. Most of us don't pretended he doesn't exist. Some do avoid saying the name, yes, since the topic around it is very serious. But otherwise David was often brought up throughout the podcast referring to his past content and shall always be the case, since as you said, he ultimately brought this channel up, 100%. As for paragraph 2 & 3, none of David's work has or will be unlisted/deleted. The memory and history from him shall remain. Business wise, David handed off the business to Matt on positive terms. Creating a whole new channel to essentially restart our careers is not a very viable or logical conclusion when the channel was willingly handed off. Keep in mind, this channel has also been OUR jobs for the past few years as well, not just David's, you don't just sweep everything under the rug when one person leaves. Paragraph 4, I feel you misunderstood what Matt was saying about SoW, no mockery there. SoW was cancelled 3 years ago and select few have asked for season 2 well before David even left. It was a comment to address that people will always ask regardless of us having given reasons plethora of times. In no way was that mockery of him, but more of people asking someone else to continue his work. The comment of trying to exceed SoW is a positive note for us to try and do better, since people are not wrong in saying it's peak content from us. As for the rest of that paragraph, no one else has been mocked. People leave and go as they please, that's life and they continue to be talked about. Through the rebrand, David's work was put to rest and we've moved on with our plans (Again, channel handed to Matt legally). So I disagree a new channel should have been made to account for one person since the other directors who left had no problem. Again appreciate the insight, fair enough if you don't agree and apologies if I mis-interpreted something there. I assure you our main intent is to keep pushing forward in a positive way with the platform that has been set over the past 10+ years by those before us (Most of us still been here for at least 3 years during the big channel years). Whether you agree with the approach is up to you, but we're moving forward. Just thought I'd give my view on that, take care.
A person's actions and their works are two very different things. We do not bring up the David drama because he is no longer creating content for the channel and therefore is not a part of the rebrand/the drama has no bearing on the rebrand. It's not about fame, it's about continuing to have a job to be able to afford rent every month. We're pretty dead community wise right now for a 10mil sub channel so you can hardly even call it fame. The ones looking for their 5 minutes in the spotlight are those like yourself, who bring up irrelevant topics that happened several months in the past just to get attention/validation from emotional reactions in the comments.
