  • It's always struck me as weird that conventionally grown strawberries are always high on the bad lists of heavily poisoned fruits. Wild strawberries are about the toughest plant out there, thriving in what I call the "cigarette butt" margin of roads, literally right out on the asphalt of the road where almost no other plants can survive. What have they done to strawberries to make them so weak?

  • Most people choose these unhealthy foods not so much because they're "convenient" or more ubiquitous, but because they're more AFFORDABLE than legitimately healthy foods!

    • Some of the chemicals used, such as certian antibiotics in animal feed, are actually required by the government, despite the labels that tells us otherwise. This is true for other chemicals as well. Our nation is in such a bad state now that even people whose eyes have been opened struggle to fight against these huge problems. Take for example the high food prices. This makes it difficult, annoying, and maybe even impossible for healthier alternatives to be selected, depending on the budget. Most people just gather what they can afford, and then proceed to checkout.

  • This is why it's very important to be mindful of what we consume. These cruel methods of food production should be outlawed because they contribute directly to the marked reduction in human life expectancy, coupled with environmental pollution. The powers that should not be are elected or appointed to serve the people, not their own nefarious and sinister agendas against humanity for the benefit of a few. Humans don't live to eat. Humans should know how to eat to live.🤬😡😤😠🤨🤔🧐

  • OBOY! Did this video ever remind me of something from decades ago. I have an ABSOLUTELY TRUE story about Hot Dogs. I was a consultant for a bedding manufacturer/retailer who had their own fleet of trucks. They would deliver their mattresses to their stores in a few states they had stores in, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada and Utah. So they wouldn't come back empty, they'd look for what's called, Back Hauls, which would pay for their gas and maybe some profit as well. I was in the warehouse where an employee was hosing out the back of one of their trucks. I thought this was rather strange because plastic wrapped mattresses wouldn't get the inside of a truck dirty you'd have to hose it out. So it must of been a truck doing a back haul that required it to be hosed out. So me being curious, I asked the guy what was in there that required a hosing. He said, and I quote, "Chicken Beaks". I swore I must of heard wrong, so i said, did you say chicken beaks? Turns out the back haul went to Oscar Myer to make Chicken Hot Dogs. The driver of the truck was in the warehouse so I asked him what the hell does Oscar Myer want with an entire truck load of Chicken Beaks. He said, for filler, as long as it's part of the chicken they can use it in Chicken Hot Dogs. They grind up the beaks, add it to the other parts of the chicken to make their Chicken Hotdogs. You're probably thinking what I did. How can a company that big, be so hard up and so cheap that they'd pay for the truck and probably whoever they got the Chicken Beaks from and drive them about 400 miles so you can not have to use actual chicken meat to make up for whatever the percentage of the hot dog is Chicken Beaks make up! Needless to say, I've never eaten a Chicken Hot Dog, since. .

  • I dated a guy who was the grandson of a huge southern meat processing company. The family members had to work in the plant as teens even if they didn't want to continue to be employees after college or whatever. He always reminded me of the things in sausage and hotdogs! I sort of knew but he would actually get a little sick talking about it. It's everything from the 'snoot to the poot' was his saying. It's noses, butts, tails, every part that you don't see laying in the freezer section. They're piled on the floor, scooped up and boiled, then ground up, seasoned and squished. If you think you don't eat lips, azz and eyes? Think again. 😉😂

  • Many years ago I was talking to our veterinarian, he was telling me about some of his experiences during vet school. He had to spend time at a meat packing/processing facility. He told us that hot dogs were made beef scraps, hooves, intestinal parts, etc. He said he saw scraps cleaned off the floor go into making hot dogs. Next was the discussion on ground beef. It is the leftover parts after a cow is processed into steaks, roasts, brisket, etc. Ground beef is the undesirable parts of the cow. It may also contain beef scraps from the floor, including non beef parts. I tried to avoid ground beef, instead getting ground chuck or ground sirloin instead. As for hot dogs, just NO!

  • I can't even fathom how making hot dogs, sausages, or chicken nuggets or any other processed meats are a substantial risk to human consumption and/or has a environmental impact. Canning has been around for over 100 years & there is no impact to human consumption. My Grandmother use to can every fall to make seasonal vegetables, Jams, & Jelly's edible during Winter. This video, in my opinion, is to make foods not for the human market. I also remember my Father saying that the scraps from butchering one or more hogs or cows in the Fall, they would sell these scraps to other local farmers or towns people so these people could can the meat for the Winter. I also remember my Father saying that if they butchered too many hog or cows in the Fall & smoked or salted, they would sell off the excess meat to other farmers & towns people so they could have a stable preserved piece of pork or beef.

I wish there would be some members of Congress or of the individual state legislatures who would pass laws making this kind of treatment illegal. It's already illegal in the Czech Republic, Finland, Italy, Poland, Germany, Turkey, the United Kingdom, India and Israel. Sadly, here in the United States, where the great majority of people don't even eat foie gras, only the State of California and New York City ban the production and sale of foie gras by force-feeding.

  • In other words, no one should be eating any foods produced on earth due to the way they are brought to market and sold. With the huge population of the world, it would be impossible for everyone to grow their own food, especially those living in urban areas. As far as using honey, that can be interpreted as stealing from the bees and using maple syrup is stealing from maple trees. Packaging and transporting any food item requires using trucks, trains, planes, etc. which as you say effects the environment in one way or another. People should stop telling other people what to eat and not to eat. No matter what we eat, no one is going to live forever , be they meat lovers, vegans or vegetarians.
