nice video im a hug fan of repairing the original bumper that came with a car where it can be repaired, usually due to the fact the original bumper fits better , less chance of gaps etc, esp given how quickly cars are made these days
Cool Repair 👍
Excellent job
Thank you!
Beautiful job
Thank you!
Nice job. How long was the actual repair time to get the bumper ready for paint?
great job
Thank you!
Dear sir how to set up a work shop in my town , what all I need to buy , what would be the expenditure , from your company side what types of assistance I may get.?!
I haven't heard an explanation in your videos why you choose one method over another. I wish you would share that more often. Such as this, why nitrogen welder, why not just airless? Why not the plastic powder buildup?
Hot air/nitrogen welding is much faster than airless plastic welding. Using nitrogen instead of hot air helps prevent contamination of the weld...the nitrogen acts as a shielding gas to prevent oxidation of the plastic. The plastic powder buildup? Do you mean our PlastiFix product? That works best on rigid plastics like ABS and polycarbonate. It does not work on olefin plastics like polyethylene, polypropylene, TPO, and TEO.
I’m need to repair some interior door panels that are polypropylene. Is that bumper also polypropylene? Looks like good results.
yes its the same stuff.
What's something like this cost?
Did you say "sandblast this "??
Yeah, we sandblasted this bumper cover then primed and painted it.
More cost effective to purchase a bumper cover new.
For this particular bumper, yes. They are pretty common and inexpensive. This car belongs to a friend of ours, so we repaired it for them and filmed the video. However, this same technique can apply to any thermoplastic bumper cover...even those that really expensive or hard to find!
Skill ful people always repair quickly n effeciently like him and some bumpers are headache to transfer stuff from old to new like new Mercedes
