In turkish we have a saying "your soul is a soul but ours is an eggplant?" In 90s, 1million Azerbaijani Turk became a refugee after Karabakh occupation by Armenia . They didn't even give them a time to pack their belongings!!! According to UN, 20% of Azerbaijan lands were occupied for 30 years. But at the end of the movie the lady gave important comments " they died in vain, if they are going to give the lands, why we fought" I can only say two things, I don't think they died in vain, this is war, one part win, the other one loses. They lost the war. Second, they thought they would win but problem is instead of themselves, they trusted foreigners and diaspora (to me another version of foreigner). Currently the diaspora is whining and keep repeating " international community didn't help us..bla bla". Here is quote from Kemal Ataturk said "during" Turkish liberation war in 1922 (not after! "during", so they didn't know if they will win the war or not). In the assembly other representatives said we must get help from big countries, listen to them ..etc and this was his response: ‘Which independence is there that can rise with the advice and plans of foreigners? History has not recorded such an event " If they keep this attitude, they will be betrayed again again again and again. no surprise.
They have showed perspectives from Azerbaijan. They released mini documentaries on the bombing of Ganja as well as perspectives of Azerbaijanis returning home to the reclaimed lands. Journalism is showing both sides of a conflict, and they have been doing that.
They just remember how they leave kharabah, but forget at all how they occupied last 30 years ago
There is no Armenian occupied territories. There is only an Armenian HOMELAND Artsakh. It belonged to Armenians more than 1000 years and it will belong to Armenians forever. All I can say is that the voices of peace should be heard on both sides, that's the first step and the road is not going to be an easy one. The story is repeating. At first Garabagh war ,27 years ago when Armenian with Russian country attacked our lands and occupied ,we also has lost the whole generation.
As far as I remember it was Armenians wanting independence from Azerbaijan. Since the Azerbaijani govt saw no other way to silence down the majority of Armenians living in this region (Artsakh), they started the war (I don't expect Azeris to know this widely known factoid since their entire propaganda is based on Armenia not having any kind of historical background). Those 7 regions are indeed yours (according to IL) but I think I don't have to remind you of how Azerbaijan came to lose them? Azerbaijan started this war 27 years ago and lost bitterly due to its immense incompetence. NKAO was an administrative unit (oblast’) within Azerbaijan SSR which has no such a right to choose staying or leaving a country which it belongs to. That’s called “Separatism” and that’s why none of the “normal” countries, even Armenia, recognizes its independence.
