I am essentially a big fan of bare knuckle boxing and underground fighting. I just want to share and make bare knuckle fight to be more familiar. The footages belong to TOP DOG Fighting Championship.     • @@gotseoul123 They actually didnt that much because they also didnt use hand wraps. Pre queensberry, boxers had very long careers with lots of fights because you cant hit like this without the wraps, you punch more carefully and accurately ensuring the right knuckles make contact rather than just your fist because your hands without wraps, are a mess of small bones. Full props to bare knuckle championship fighters but its not literal bare knuckle of the early 1800s.

    • They probably respect fighting more over there tbh seeing as bare knuckle boxing looks to be accepted. They probably have a culture around it and take hiring and disciplining refs seriously. Also it probably helps to have a ref that’s big enough to kick both of the fighters asses

    • I agree generally, but I think in the 4th fight, "asteroid vs samurai" the ref should have stopped it properly about a minute earlier. The guy was taking a lot of punishment and looked all done and without any foreseeable way back. Should have been stopped at about 5:58

  • 10:53 what an amazing fighter red shoes is. He switches to slaps in just the right time to use the surprised of the extended reach, then continunous slaps to the sides to land a solid slap to the ear, only to finish with a muay thai like fist stance that focuses on straight forward attacks. He definitely put a pace that the opponent couldn't adapt to in time, before having to deal with a new fighting style. These guys got real heart and it shows

Most looked like a bunch of guys just swinging for the fences with no good combos, leading with jabs, or strategy (like the guy who was much taller than the one in maroon pants and didn't use his height and reach advantage to keep the guy from moving in on him)

    • Bas Rutten in pancrase. Liver shots were his specialty. And in pancrase you weren't allowed to strike the head with a closed fist. Bas Rutten would knock people out with body shots or open-handed palm strikes. Pretty insane (28 wins, 4 losses on his professional MMA record and inducted in the UFC hall of fame).

    • body shots are great in boxing but barenuckle (even though i know theyre important) its probably pretty dangerous to throw a lot, getting clipped on the jaw for spending too much time downstairs is a lot more dangerous here. Either way we agree, just a helluva sport

  • I used to live in Russia and I trained a very tiny bit in boxing and Judo. I remember sometime at around 2005 I went to watch the first "Pankration" match. It was pretty sick, and it is then I decided to not do any martial arts, at least not competitively. The matches only lasted like 2 minutes max, everyone was in bare hands, and almost every fighter was either unconsciously escorted via wheeled stretcher or was all in blood. It was brutal af
