I think the check left hook is the most effective strike in BKFC or MMA. The hands just can't move fast enough to parry with no/small gloves.
it doesn't take a lot when your opponent is moving into it, and if you have proper technique & placement yes the check "lead" hook is vastly underrated & extremely effective.

That’s the nature of combat sports. Whether you wear gloves or not, if you get into it wanting to be a full time fighter, then you just gotta accept the fact that you’re taking years off your life. The human body just isn’t meant to take that kind of damage for multiple years at a time, and it always catches up to you, even with all the after-care that fighters have access to now.
