This song was used as title song for a Chinese-Japanese TV series "Farewell" about a Japanese woman Yoshiko Yamaguchi born in China and accused of being spy and put on trial but eventually was set free and went by to Japan, living a long and peaceful life.

Lovely reaction to a lovely song! I completely enjoy the way he makes his voice float on the air as he sings this. Another very gorgeous song is "The Meaning of Eternity". The official video is from advertising for a play I believe, but LiLaSi has made a beautiful beautiful video that goes with the song perfectly. I highly recommend reacting to it! I know many people like to listen to Dimash with their eyes closed, but I love to watch him sing because his face and entire body are so expressive!
I-KA-NA-I-DE - you almost pronounced it right, dear Debbie 🥳👍🏻. Japanese is built on syllables, which are often formed from only one vowel or one consonant followed by a vowel. Only the N is an exception and can stand alone as a "syllable" - roughly speaking - I don't want to bore you with Japanese language theory 😅. As I mentioned in my post on "Autumn Strong", "Ikanaide" has a special place in my ... because of my strong, emotional attachment to Japan .. hm ... let's call it "my personal Dimash hit list". This song just hits the spot for me on all levels and I am very happy that after "Autumn Strong" you have now also recorded a reaction to the Japanese original version. What I especially like about this song recording is that Dimash is "alone" in the studio here. You have him and his voice pure, without fan shouting, applause, babbling (who doesn't know them, those people who always have to discuss something with each other incessantly at every live event?) and I-love-you statements from the audience. And as much as I appreciate Dimash's showmanship and interactions with us Dears at his live gigs, when I want to just enjoy music for myself at home or in the car, the extended background noise sometimes gets quite annoying. With this "Ikanaide" studio record I can just put on the headphones, close my eyes and surrender to Dimash's siren song. That's why I personally would like to see more studio recordings from Dimash 🥺🤫. Nevertheless, I will fly to Turkey in May with my daughter-in-law to Dimash's concert in Antalya, because his live concerts have a very special vibe, despite all the pushing, shouting and heckling. Dimash has put out a few masterpieces (almost everything he sings), but this song, Ikanaide, is one that vocal students could analyze for years and still not grasp all his techniques. I've never heard anything like it because there just isn't anything like it out there. Thanks for a great reaction.
