  • Dimash is to voice what Michelangelo is to art. The world does not have a recorded artist that has ever been as capable in all forms of vocal interpretation. As a Doctor of musical arts and science, it is my humble opinion that Dimash is a gift long-awaited and in need by the world. Aware or not, Dimash is far more than an entertainer, he is a healer for those in desperate need of reconnection. Perfect resonance, perfect balance in an unbalanced world.

  • Hello, beautiful! Dimash sings this song in Japanese and the author of the song, after hearing this performance, admitted that it was the best performance he had ever heard. The song is full of feelings and emotions that Dimash conveys in such a way that the author of the song could not have wished for. They say that Stradivarius made violins that spoke with human voices. Dimash is the modern incarnation of Stradivarius, he creates the impossible with his voice!

  • Dimash doesn't just sing. This man has talent beyond talent. When I hear him sing, all I can think of or compare it too is from a different world or truly angelic. His music doesn't just entertain me, it moves me to the deepest recesses of my emotional core. As a lifelong musician, I've never heard someone that causes a physical reaction in my body. Goosebumps, chills, tears, and just a profound sense of witnessing greatness, every time he sings. His abilities far exceed what is normal or even considered amazing by others, he's in a class of his own and stands singularly on a stage of profound, ineffable, greatness! I'm so glad I'm alive at the same time he is, to witness all of it. Thank you, Dimash. . You are the lightest of lights in a world that resonates so much darkness.

  • "Ikanaude" means "Don't go" in Japanese, This is a song of pleading. Since you enjoyed to less technically showy and much more emotional quality of this piece, you would surely appreciate Quaragym-ai 2020. It is just Dimash and a wonderful pianist doing a tribute to their professor of composition who died of COVID 19. He maintains his composure but, seemingly, only barely. It is absolutely lovely!

And with the same comment - so many times throughout the song you feel he's barely holding it together, whereas I *never* can, and weep buckets enough for the both of us...😭😭 (enough for a whole choir and full symphony orchestra with plenty extra to spare, more like!)

  • This is my new favorite song of Dimash. I enjoy hearing your comments and explanations as the song goes along. What he’s doing to make the sounds he makes. I used to think singing Happy Birthday was singing. Some people sounded a little better than others…..not. I’ve learned there is so much involved in order to sing. I’ve learned this just since I found Dimash five years ago. I had no idea how the vocal chords worked. Thank you for sharing your expertise.

  • Expressing deep sorrow, of permanent separation never to unite again. The true story of Japanese actress who lived and worked in China and was loved by the Chinese population for her artistry. BUT during WW2 she was discovered to be Japanese born and was deported and banned by China to never step foot into China again. The song conveys this deep loss of the actress from those that loved her. The Chinese version to this song is called "Autumn Strong" which Dimash also sings - This is the first song sung in Japanese for Dimash. Some Japanese reactors who are singers themselves have said his pronunciation was even better than some Japanese singers.

  • I always enjoy your Dimash reactions and this one is no exception. I do have to say, however, that we Dears find it confusing when people say he is technically good, but they don't feel much emotion from him. I know very little about the technical side of music and I didn't start liking him for his incredible range. There was just something about his voice and the way he embodies each song he sings that touches my soul and most Dears feel this way as well. When we show him to people and they don't feel that, we genuinely don't understand because it is so real and visceral to us. Anyway, I'm so glad he did give you the "feels" finally!! Keep up the great reactions please!

  • Dimash kills me with his emotion in every song. I remember when I first, by entire chance, heard him singing SOS, I couldn't get over the emotional rollercoaster he produced in me. I still cry from it and many of his other songs although I have been listening to them every day for years. don't know how it is possible not to feel the crazy emotions he always produces. Technical control doesn't contradict emotion, on the contrary, it allows to better express it. He can concentrate on telling the story and expressing the meaning of the song instead of struggling with notes.

There's so much more you can react to, but maybe if you like that pared back yet emotional style I think you should react to Qairan Elim MV and Omir Oter MV both in Kazakh language and very raw in tone.. Also Samaltau from Tokyo Jazz 2021 if you haven't reacted to any of these.. Greetings from Cape Town South Africa

    • In my opinion, whenever there is a live performance, like Qairan Elim in the Digital Show, it is better, because the emotions in a life performance are always more powerful than in an MV. Just my opinion. Actually, the most amazing, out of this world performance was in the concert in Prague, but there are only fancams available.

  • This was another very enjoyable reaction and analysis. "Ikanaide" is quickly becoming one if not the favorite Dimash performance for me and it invokes a very visceral response in me, just as "Ave Maria" did. I believe this actually was a live performance in that Dimash sang "Ikanaide" live for the Tokyo Jazz Festival Live stream in January of 2021 as it was being recorded. According to several native Japanese speakers, Dimash's pronunciation of the lyrics is nearly flawless. One native speaker, who gave a detailed analysis, stated that he is "expressing Japanese more (better) than Japanese" and that he does not only perfectly pronounce Japanese but "expresses Japanese…with Japanese emotion.". Goro Matsui, who wrote the lyrics to "Ikanaide," posted on his Twitter account that he has never heard a foreigner sing in Japanese in such a beautiful way. Tamaki Kōji composed the music and performed the song in 1989. "Ikanaide" became the title song for the Chinese-Japanese TV series "Farewell, Li Xianglan," filmed that year. It is the story of Yoshiko Yamaguchi, a beloved Chinese-born Japanese actress and singer during World War II who hid her Japanese heritage under the name Li XIanglan. Following the war, when the Chinese became aware of her Japanese heritage, she was accused of being a spy and sentenced to death by firing squad for treason and collaboration with the Japanese; she had been involved in the production of Japanese propaganda films. Thanks to the intervention of influential friends, she was cleared of all charges but urged to leave China or risk being lynched. She resettled in Japan, where she would continue to enjoy a successful acting career. In the 1950s, she moved her acting career to Hollywood and Broadway under the name Shirley Yamaguchi but returned to Japan in 1959, retiring from acting. She would go on to become a TV presenter and eventually a politician. She did not return to China for nearly 20 years. In 1990, "Ikanaide" was translated into Cantonese and sung by Jacky Cheung using the same melody. Later, the song was rewritten and translated for Jacky Cheung to Mandarin under the title "Late Autumn." In 2004 the Taiwanese singer Terry Lin adapted the song into a new version titled "In Deep Autumn," with lyrics written by Daryl Yao. Dimash chose the 2004 Taiwanese version arranged by Terry Lin with Mandarin lyrics for his performance at the 2017 "I Am A Singer" competition but gave it his own interpretation and titled it "Autumn Strong." This song went on to earn Dimash the "Best Foreign Singer" award during the Golden Melody Award in Hong Kong. Here are the original lyrics to "Ikanaide": Ikanaide (ee-kanaa-eedayy) Please Don't Go Away by Koji Tamaki Nothing visible, nothing I have been crying throughout Not because I feel sorrowful But because of the delight of feeling your warmth Ah… Please don't go away, please don't go away Please don't ever ever let us separate Ah… Please don't go away, please don't go away Let's remain this way Someday your heart will be somewhere afar That everything will turn into memory Though it's better not to know Though it's better not to know Ah… Please don't go away, please don't go away Whenever it is, don't let us separate Ah… Please don't go away, please don't go away Let's remain this way

  • This is sung in Japanese. It's the original language of the song written by Koji Tamaki. He sang this song in Mandarin on the Chinese on the competition show Singer in 2017 under the title Autumn Strong. Perhaps you haven't seen enough of his work. He's a consummate performer and oozes emotion and most every song he performs. May I suggest Give Me Love from his 2021 Digital Show?

  • Aw, hi Beth enjoyed yer reaction & discussion of Dimash..yea the thing is he puts so much detail, shading in tonal variation & emotionally narrates using the way he comes off notes what he chooses but it's also his use of body narration, hand movement, face, it's like he is acting the character of the subject the composer is expressing about I'm the lyrics bringing the story in the song to live. Dimash goes beyond the detail most great singers give. He does it consistently. He doesn't seem to go halves on it. That's the thing. He goes all in spirit or soul with his stage presence facial & body movement. So it put together draws you in that but more intensely. It's therapeutic really such is the variation on tone as he goes through the song so that it doesn't get predictive, there's so much variation beyond the usual it's really at that level. And it's Japanese he is singing in which is not a language he knows but for which Japanese reactors have praised his pronunciation of their language for accuracy & comprehension of the lyrics. That's impressive Beth isn't it. Dimash as a new pop tune out now after the impressive Story of One Sky. It's a good catchy song

I think perhaps you suffer from the problem of a number of first time 'analysers' here on YT in stopping and starting the video to comment, interupting the emotional 'long wave' as you disect some phrase or other. Always best to allow the first run through to be uninterupted. Just my pennies worth.

  • Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. • Yes, like a whale... Dimash's voice is a bass, a baritone, a tenor, a soprano, an eagle, a nightingale, a dolphin, a whale, a violin, a flute, an electric guitar, an Alien, an Angel, a Unicorn or whatever he feels like to be. This magical being is the vessel of all the sounds of God.

  • I recommend you a singer her name is Diana Navarro with the song "El perdón" she is a very versatile Spanish singer singing different styles of music with incredible melisma. She transmits a lot of emotion and emotion when she sings.

  • I absolutely love your reactions to Dimash. Only thing is for me you miss out a bit on transitions & through lines, simply because you pause & play without backing up at all. There’s so much more subtle impact in every pause, breath & the way he continues breath from one note to next. Obviously you appreciate more than most & likely listen again on your own, I just find going back a few seconds when hitting play after a pause gives you more of those moments that sometimes get missed otherwise. I hope you keep going with Dimash! You’ve nowhere near seen even all his styles! ❤️🙏

  • Please don't go/ Ikanaide Nothing visible, nothing I have been crying throughout Not because I feel sorrowful But because of the delight of feeling your warmth Ah… Please don't go away, please don't go away Please don't ever ever let us separate Ah… Please don't go away, please don't go away Let's remain this way Someday my heart, someday Will be somewhere afar That everything will turn into memory Though it's better not to know Though it's better not to know Ah… Please don't go away, please don't go away Whenever it is, don't let us separate Ah… Please don't go away, please don't go away Let's remain this way Ah… Please don't go away, please don't go away Please don't ever ever let us separate Ah… Please don't go away, please don't go away Let's remain this way lyricstranslate
