Poirier also has a really bad habit of adjusting his shorts when he resets. So much so that that split second could be lights out. Watch the Hooker fight, you’ll see him consistently do this.
He does it so much in his rematch with Alvarez as well. He needs to wear the other set of trunks that are fitted like what Conor uses.
Yeah that is a really bad habbit I have noticed also, he does od it out of range though, but your right, an athlete like conor has the speed and IQ to possibly read that and sending a wheel kick his way.

he does have patterns which I think mcgregor will defo pick up on if he hasnt already, dustins chin is miles better at lightweight and will have most success in the later rounds if it makes it there. Cant wait anyway they are my two favourite fighters!

Dan is so real, from experience, its amazing listening to him! The stuff about there o2 levels with 10 seconds to go, only a former fighter could articulate that to us! This stuff is as badass as it gets! I watch all his stuff n come fight night, countless times what dan said will happen, happens!

The only man I half way rooted for against GSP (my all time favorite fighter). Something about Dan was special and it shows in his post career.
I love how well Dan explains these situations and give us a glimpse into what these fighters are going through in those situations

In my book, it's Dr. Dan Hardy, as this guy definitely had a professional doctorate in fight analysis and breakdown. Two thumbs up in my book; I felt better educated after the first 5 minutes of the video. Not a bad way to spend a fight Saturday morning, with hot coffee on one side and a legal pad at the ready on the left.
Always stoked when I get the notification of a new breakdown. Then I saw it was 41 minutes. Thank you Dan! What an absolute legend, can't wait to watch this.

@@patrickmonaghan3658 No, but he's had time to shore up weaknesses in his game and learn tricks he didn't have. He's had what 1 fight in the last two years that lasted 30 seconds maybe? That doesn't give you a lot of stuff to study. It could be that it's the same conner that we've always had in which case good, but if you plan on something being a weakness for him only for him to have spent 2 years patching that aspect of his game up well you could be in some pretty deep shit.

Dustin isn't gonna last that long if he gets hit as much as he did in the hooker fight, hooker was about to finish him at the end of the 2nd had there been afew more seconds, also Dustin touches his shorts when he resets which alottt of people are noticing so don't be surprised if that plays into the fight

A lot of talk about southpaw vs southpaw but Dustin is almost as good with his right hand as he is with his left. Conor has that precision striking! I can’t wait
with dustins square stance its a plus and minus at the same time facing someone who hits your jaw from left or right (when you circle away) so i think this is why hardy hasn't gone too deep into Dustins 'Ambidextrous ability' :-)

Conor looked pretty precise in the first round. I was holding my breath every time he let it fly. After his leg was compromised, he did slip though. So pumped for Dustin!!!

He's good :D man I went ballistic when he finished conor. My poor girlfriend who has no interest in mma was sitting to close to me while I lost my shit. I'm super happy for Dustin. I'm also happy with the new and improved father that is conor. I hope he comes back strong. I don't have much admiration for the trash talk, but I dig the respect between two parties going to war.

Arguably as good as McGregor? McGregor stuffed 60% of the takedowns and won a round, and did it while injured and after a two year layoff. I really like Poirier, but Nurmagomedov thoroughly dominated him.

What an incredible breakdown. I love that Dan despite being a professional fighter himself and having fought great fighters is still a fan and great student of the game.
This was fantastic to watch, love to see the more technical side of things from an experienced veteran in the game. I liked seeing how McGregor sets his left hand up with his hip positioning and I liked that you touched on his ground game which most people forget about. I’d like to see one for the Dan Hooker vs Mike Chandler fight as I don’t know much about Mike chandler!
