  • Such a tragedy. Kobe died 2 times that day. He knew he couldn't help his child and of course his physical death. I cannot imagine.

While I never personally watched basketball or cared for it, I knew who Kobe was and respected him for his amazing talent. It hurt when we found out he died and the others that were with him. Considering how much, and it was a lot, he did of community service and being a part of the community in general, then yes it's very possible for someone to feel like family. Sometimes people in this life treat community and even individuals like they are family (clearly not literally). It can't always be explained but it's a very personal feeling. This person also pointed out even though they weren't into basketball they still respected him. No need to take the family comment quite literal. It's a feeling and matter of respects. Anywho

  • Thank you for doing this Omar. Anyone who got to see and sense what kind of a human he was, what kind of soul Kobe has really feels such love, admiration, def he is a beautiful and rare soul..it was and still is undeniable. I know they are together and at peace Kobe and G. He is still raising her, being a dad just in a different realm..heaven. Life is oh so precious and fragile truly. Sending love and light to Kobe and Gianna’s family, to the families of the other sweet souls that passed on too soon. God has a plan, doesn’t always make sense to us at first or for some time but part of faith is knowing God takes care of us. We are never alone and I sense Kobe guided his daughter. He was led by God and Kobe led his baby. No doubt. Thanks again for doing this and I have adidas hiking shoes 2 pair, 1 lows and 1 pair is like highs with ankle support for difficult steep trails when I go to NW Ga..they are really awesome:) we are neighbors sort of..Homosassa! Until y’all move but we are planning on moving North to escape everyone moving to our awesome state! Tons of love to you and yours Omar!!!

  • Thanks so much. My son and I watched Kobe from his first year. The Lakers used to come to Hawaii for training camps so we got to see him. My son went to his last game as well. So his first game to his last he was there.

It was still a shock for the basketball world to lose such a great ball player and his beautiful daughter along with the others who lost their lives... Thank you Omar and James for doing this. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH.

  • Omar, this was such a Beautiful, and Sentimental Tribute to Kobe Bryant, Gigi, and Everyone, who lost their lives on this Dreadful Flight. That was such a difficult hike, but you guys were Determined, and Made it. I really liked the Flashlight you left at the Memorial Site, representing the Light, Kobe displayed in his Career, and Personal life. I agree that a Beautiful, Personalized Memorial Plaque should have been placed at this site. Hopefully, this will be done.

I have two sons and know what a mother must feel if they loose their child. The world lost a genius and a wonderful human being. God bless you all. RIP
