Love this channel however this was very disturbing. I know of no QANTAS flight crew that would ever pass their physical if they presented in such a state of gross obesity. Fortunately there are two pilots. OMG!!!!!!!!!
That has been one of the best hours of my time. The amount of work these pilots have to do every flight just to keep the travelling public safe is huge I have the greatest respect for these people.

I have flew with Fiji Airways and other airways a few times from Sydney to Nadi and Nadi to Sydney. I must say, I prefer to fly with Fiji Airways more than other carriers, better service and the most important that was you have a blanket on every seat. Please keep it up.

i bet these guys done a lot of island hops in their early days, some of the domestic flights run 7 to 10 flights a day by 1 pilot. was in suva in 1973 on P&O oriana i never forgot the smell of copra and the humidity,, love that place.

Very proud of our national carrier. Love the 350. Doesn’t come to Brisbane 😢. I was flight attendant on BAC 1-11 for Air Pacific and my dad was Chairman for 19 years. And yes we love our food in the islands- what about it??! Vinaka Captain

I knew Cpt Koroi when he was a very young boy as I worked with his late dad in the Fiji Police Force.
Wow. I have a photo taken 2007 in the cockpit of an Air Pacific 747-400 with the pilots after landing in Auckland. I'm sure its Captain Roy sitting behind the captain as a second officer. Would love to post the photo but dont know how.

Some of the comments here are absolutely disgraceful. Fiji Airways is a wonderful smaller airline who are modernising everything they do. I love travelling to Fiji and would fly this airline anywhere. Pilots have to undertake rigorous training, and testing including comprehensive physical assessments. Some of the comments here are at best unhelpful and at worst nothing less than pure racism..

Fijian local pilots are very good.most start their flying careers flying small airlines to outer islands around fiji.their landing and take offs are done with zero wind assistant or resistant.no wind.to operate on short runways take skill.ive experience this flying into these runways myself.the wind socks are just flopped.meaning no wind.these pilots are skilled to handel these conditions.ive witness this on number occasion. They so relaxed and skilled

I wonder if that's the same A350 that landed in SLC a few years ago. I have a picture of it framed by the snow covered Wasatch mountains. I figured the juxtaposition was once-in-a-lifetime.

I think now flight is going to be more safe as ive been amazed at amount of uou tube channels ,blogcasts, podcasts on abiation and sites you can read up on tecnical terms even air accident inwuiries im only just into aviation never have flien dont want to but when i get a interest it sticks not sure where eviation come from though ive bern assessed informally snd im thought to be autistic

At 8:01, the captain pushes a button and the engines get loud without anyone touching the thrust levers. What does that button do? I'm curious
I think it was the chrono button that starts the timer for the take off roll? But the engines took a while to spool hence the delay :)

That's not a primary flight instrument. Just the EFB which, funny enough, runs Windows 8 Embedded. Not even joking. You can watch it boot up when powering up the airplane :D

Years ago I used to work line maintenance in Sydney and service Fiji Airways, I was stunned to find they kept a loaded pistol in the cockpit, not something you expect to find. 🇦🇺
