This was never meant to become such a big deal. We just went to get Fiona out of there and into her new home but the world seemed to fall in love with the story.

ABOUT ME
I’m 33 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city s a Police Officer and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 1200 breeding ewes.
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on KZhead and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Since starting The Sheep Game I have met Lizzy and had two incredible boys Jock and Angus. You will see them all on this channel!
Thanks for watching my videos and please subscribe if you want to see more in future.

On the other hand what an intense thriller her rescue was. You all were/are incredible. All involved. Strong men and such big hearts to attempt this. My arm hairs stood up several many times watching. What a wonderful feeling to save a creature. Something to many people would not. Hugs and love to all involved. Dana

    • Here's the thing, that wool will actually kill her if she'd been left there. She's isn't a breed that will naturally drop wool, as seen she has almost three years of build up. It's like with the domestic silk moth, humans have been messing with it so long that it can't be wild anymore.

  • Got directed here from Greame's YT channel. Awesome work by a dedicated team to save Fiona. Save the shearing and that was a massive fleece and she's a sturdy girl.

  • Omg my heart was in my mouth watching that and cheered when she got to the top even tho I’ve been a subscriber with Dalscone for about 18 months and been watching her - yous guys were so amazing (idiots) and took your own life in your hands but great job well done!! Fiona wouldn’t have been safe another winter down there, she is so happy and safe due to you guys and if she could talk I’m sure she would say biggest thank you

  • I'm utterly GRATEFUL to you brave chaps for saving sweet Fiona! I live near the mountains here in Western Canada and Ive seen how steep cliffs like these are and how extremely hard that rescue had to be! Thank goodness Fiona had that thick wool on her to protect her on her trip up there! Your mothers must be so proud of you now that you're safe and sound now!. And I'm Sooooo glad she's being pampered at Dalscone Farm Fun now. As a follower of that Farm for the past 3 yrs I KNOW shes in the BEST of hands there. 💜 from near Edmonton Alberta 🇨🇦
