    • James Robertson EU Parliament to Holyrood, is like Holyrood to Westminster. It borrows powers. We can revoke or overrule if and when we please. We can renegotiate our membership unlike that of the UK. We can control our migration outwith the EU. We can have a VETO, opt outs and ability to alter proposals - no single member state has a majority. We are excluded from the Schengen for both security and sovereignty reasons - we are an island and separate from mainland Europe. Whilst ultimately, having a look at how both work, in terms of costs of living, exchange rates and practicality - I’ve reached the conclusion that if we don’t establish our own currency, I’d much rather adopt the Euro than keep the pound, but even then, we still have the freedom to do that because the Euro is NOT a requirement.

  • And it's the truth. I voted Yes but I had a lot of friends who voted No. The majority of them changed their mind after Westminster's betrayal and now want independence. We need keep bringing such things to people's attention.
