I'm a Korean living in Canada and I'm 14 yo. I keep in touch with my Korean friends and mostly they stay up till at least midnight to study. I'm so worried and I feel like the world can be so diverse especially when it comes to education. My mom experienced all of those harsh education in Korea when she was a girl and she is just like ordinary people although she studied 15 hours a day and went to a nice university. It was a very long time ago, but still, Korea forces students to study a lot. It makes me confused about this whole situation and I always question myself why they need this much education. My friends are always depressed and I also become depressed around them only because of that goddamn education. So sad..

I think it's the fact that she studied in the US and Canada which is more free compared to Korea's strict education system. I totally understand why Wendy frowning when the girl said she had to quit sport cause her parents told her to. Wendy was in a golf varsity team, played soccer, choir club, lead musical actress in her school play, flute player in ochestra, mathlete and still ace her study no problem.

Adults sometimes gives advice just because they think they know it all since they have more experience when in reality kids/teenagers want people to just listen and understand them and that's exactly what Wendy is doing. She is trying to understand what they're going through and their concerns before giving advices that suits them

I always care whether I'm dressing properly like the people around me have dressed does my clothing match their standards and do I look good, which hair should I do and all!!! Seeing Wendy concerned about middle schoolers having stress and thinking too much about the future (studies for high school, picking the right school to go to college, etc) is kind of a relief to me. It's like a reminder that these things aren't normal, having so much stress is not normal. I feel relieved that there's someone who still cares about students' mental condition. And seeing the girls talking about their struggles really makes me want to hug them, it must be hard and I really want to tell them that everything will be ok, eventually

For those wondering, Wendy did meet and greet them and gave them the encouragement they needed after the filming stopped. Wendy didn't want it filmed because she didn't want to make it about herself. Wendy is very humble as all Red Velvet members are.

As a 19 year old, I look back and feel like shit how much I stressed to enter a good high school and a good uni. I worked my ass off, yes I am going to graduate from a good uni and have a good job but still, it is heartbreaking. Kids shouldn't work that much, they shouldn't feel pressure for their future when they are 12. I hope I can send my kids to another country to study so they can live their teen years freely.

@@mindaj4953 in my case, I don't really like sharing my problems to anyone and what I do is I write in my diary or sometimes here in my phone's notes. I released all my worries by writing and I always talk to God about my problems and while confessing it to Him, I find myself crying and I feel unburdened, all my worries are slowly fading and I feel better. Maybe you can try it, if your trust issues is so high, no need to tell to anyone but make sure you released all that feelings and worries so that you'll feel better.

Eh their isn't such a thing as true best friend because they will leave you one day anyways. That's why I don't even bother to make friends rather try enjoying things by myself or family. I have experienced how it is to think someone is your best friends but they will leave you anyways at the end of the day. You and your family would never leave.

그런데 열다섯즈음에 다 저런 생각 하는 것 같아요. 열다섯쯤 되면 마냥 천진난만 하지 않고 생각 많아지는 거 십년전 이십년전도 똑같았어요. 물론 공부를 강요하는 분위기는 좀 사라졌음 좋겠지만 애둘이 애들답지 않다는 건 공감이 안되네요.

Seeing both of this girls are just so precious.. Because everyone is different. Everyone has a different takes on the situations their assessing to. We really dont know how pressure they have. How much stress they have not only studies but on other personal struggles as well. Is not solely about studies, it can be future, problems, personal struggle and such.

It can be mentally or physically, most of them (Korean people) don’t feel safe or don’t have self-confidence because of the beauty standards or the pressure parents are putting on them (school). Of course it is not ALL of them, but a grand majority. The girls in the video said it : « I care about my appearance », « I want to do sports but my parents don’t allowed me anymore », it’s so sad for them and we can’t be at their place (idk about you) but only sympathise. One time I saw a report on a daily day for a Korean student. I was so shocked that he only sleeps 4-5 hours per night. 😱

I’ve honestly been a fan of hers for a long time but this song (and the whole album) is just something else, it made me love her even more. The album made me cry and smile at the same time, it also made me feel seen and understood. Taeyeon said that it feels like a pat on the back but honestly it feels like a bear hug from the person you love the most (the comforting lyrics in addition to her warm and soothing voice). wendy is the gift that keeps on giving and i hope she’s aware of how precious and one of a kind she is.

I’m not a parent, but I’m a young adult, and I have to say: it’s hard for every generation. Being a teen is hard, it’s a near universal experience. I think as we get older we just forget about that and get caught up in adult life, which is unfortunate. But trust me, you guys are not alone, it’s a sucky time for everyone. At least it doesn’t last forever.

I have been a fan of Red Velvet for quite some time and only now I just bumped to this video. Wendy is an angel. This video really confirmed it for me. The way she really cares and worries about the girls. And the advice she gives them and even the ways she talks is just... I'm speechless. What is interesting is that I bumped to this video in a bit difficult period in my life currently where I'm pretty stressed and sad and I worry abour lots of things and seeing these girls having worries as well (though I'm a bit older than them) and the way Wendy talks to them. I just wish I could talk to her about my worries as well. I mean she's so carrying and it looks like she's good at comforting people both by talking to them and through her music. And now I remembered another time I was in a pretty bad mood and listening to her solo album soothed and comforted me. But yeah when it comes to it, this whole album is like a perfect therapy.

I'm a Korean living in Canada and I'm 14 yo. I keep in touch with my Korean friends and mostly they stay up till at least midnight to study. I'm so worried and I feel like the world can be so diverse especially when it comes to education. My mom experienced all of those harsh education in Korea when she was a girl and she is just like ordinary people although she studied 15 hours a day and went to a nice university. It was a very long time ago, but still, Korea forces students to study a lot. It makes me confused about this whole situation and I always question myself why they need this much education. My friends are always depressed and I also become depressed around them only because of that goddamn education. So sad..

I think it's the fact that she studied in the US and Canada which is more free compared to Korea's strict education system. I totally understand why Wendy frowning when the girl said she had to quit sport cause her parents told her to. Wendy was in a golf varsity team, played soccer, choir club, lead musical actress in her school play, flute player in ochestra, mathlete and still ace her study no problem.

Seeing Wendy concerned about middle schoolers having stress and thinking too much about the future (studies for high school, picking the right school to go to college, etc) is kind of a relief to me. It's like a reminder that these things aren't normal, having so much stress is not normal. I feel relieved that there's someone who still cares about students' mental condition. And seeing the girls talking about their struggles really makes me want to hug them, it must be hard and I really want to tell them that everything will be ok, eventually

For those wondering, Wendy did meet and greet them and gave them the encouragement they needed after the filming stopped. Wendy didn't want it filmed because she didn't want to make it about herself. Wendy is very humble as all Red Velvet members are.

As a 19 year old, I look back and feel like shit how much I stressed to enter a good high school and a good uni. I worked my ass off, yes I am going to graduate from a good uni and have a good job but still, it is heartbreaking. Kids shouldn't work that much, they shouldn't feel pressure for their future when they are 12. I hope I can send my kids to another country to study so they can live their teen years freely.

I released all my worries by writing and I always talk to God about my problems and while confessing it to Him, I find myself crying and I feel unburdened, all my worries are slowly fading and I feel better. Maybe you can try it, if your trust issues is so high, no need to tell to anyone but make sure you released all that feelings and worries so that you'll feel better.
Maybe you can try talking to some stranger without telling your identity. Sometimes strangers understand you better than anyone. No judgment.
Eh their isn't such a thing as true best friend because they will leave you one day anyways. That's why I don't even bother to make friends rather try enjoying things by myself or family. I have experienced how it is to think someone is your best friends but they will leave you anyways at the end of the day. You and your family would never leave.

How much stress they have not only studies but on other personal struggles as well. Is not solely about studies, it can be future, problems, personal struggle and such.

It can be mentally or physically, most of them (Korean people) don’t feel safe or don’t have self-confidence because of the beauty standards or the pressure parents are putting on them (school). Of course it is not ALL of them, but a grand majority. The girls in the video said it : « I care about my appearance », « I want to do sports but my parents don’t allowed me anymore », it’s so sad for them and we can’t be at their place (idk about you) but only sympathise. One time I saw a report on a daily day for a Korean student. I was so shocked that he only sleeps 4-5 hours per night. 😱

I’ve honestly been a fan of hers for a long time but this song (and the whole album) is just something else, it made me love her even more. The album made me cry and smile at the same time, it also made me feel seen and understood. Taeyeon said that it feels like a pat on the back but honestly it feels like a bear hug from the person you love the most (the comforting lyrics in addition to her warm and soothing voice). wendy is the gift that keeps on giving and i hope she’s aware of how precious and one of a kind she is.

I didn't know the lyrics of 'when this rain stops'. Now I know why I love it so much. Recently I came across her solo album, I listen to it whenever I'm working. I don't know for some reason it gives me a sense of healing and strength. I found comfort in her voice. I'm not really a rv stan but I'll definitely support Wendy.

I’m not a parent, but I’m a young adult, and I have to say: it’s hard for every generation. Being a teen is hard, it’s a near universal experience. I think as we get older we just forget about that and get caught up in adult life, which is unfortunate. But trust me, you guys are not alone, it’s a sucky time for everyone. At least it doesn’t last forever.
Overall, It's pretty chill and relaxing living as a teenager. I'm 17 btw. My only trouble is living with an abusive father.

I have been a fan of Red Velvet for quite some time and only now I just bumped to this video. Wendy is an angel. This video really confirmed it for me. The way she really cares and worries about the girls. And the advice she gives them and even the ways she talks is just... I'm speechless. What is interesting is that I bumped to this video in a bit difficult period in my life currently where I'm pretty stressed and sad and I worry abour lots of things and seeing these girls having worries as well (though I'm a bit older than them) and the way Wendy talks to them. I just wish I could talk to her about my worries as well. I mean she's so carrying and it looks like she's good at comforting people both by talking to them and through her music. And now I remembered another time I was in a pretty bad mood and listening to her solo album soothed and comforted me. But yeah when it comes to it, this whole album is like a perfect therapy.
