    • Exactly : just look at who he s had to beat to pull this off ??? It's the main issue if have with Djokovic and to a lessor extent Nadal , laying claim as the goat ; is the lack of decent competition in the men's game since 2019; ie Djokovic barely faced a player inside the top 20 for his 2023 US & AO open wins ( Rublev semi & Tsipas final ) - first five matches were mostly third rate players well outside the top 20 With a few exceptions , this has been the case with all the big 3 now big 2 for much of the last 7 yrs or so . They can only beat who's in front of them true - but if the competition is ordinary, like this year US & AO opens - takes lots from their credibility of greatness in my opinion Wavrinka and Thiem were easily the best players outside of the big for the last 8 years ; where are all the rest ???

He may still end up losing, but never gives up on a point unless he's injured. It is very easy to target someone when they're are helpless, shows a lot about people's character.
