FROM Season 2 has been filled with a lot of mystery. However, one of the biggest mysteries to date is who was behind the terror that plagued the residents in season 2. In this video, I believe I have unraveled the truth behind the evil entity that has been at work causing all the horrors that were witnessed. Not only that, but I also believe that this could be the best explanation for other questions such as "Who threw Boyd the rope?" and more. Check it out and let me know your thoughts in the comments.

About From:
FROM unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town that traps all those who enter. As the unwilling residents fight to keep a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest - including the terrifying creatures that come out when the sun goes down. In season two, hidden truths about the nature and terrifying origins of the town begin to emerge, even as life for its residents is plunged into chaos by the arrival of mysterious newcomers.
The series stars Harold Perrineau (Lost) leading an ensemble cast which includes Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria Full of Grace, The Affair), Eion Bailey (Band of Brothers, Once Upon a Time), Hannah Cheramy (Under Wraps, Van Helsing), Simon Webster (Strays), Ricky He (The Good Doctor), Chloe Van Landschoot (Charity, Skin), Corteon Moore (Utopia Falls), Pegah Ghafoori (The Perfect Wedding), David Alpay (Castle Rock), Elizabeth Saunders (Clarice), Elizabeth Moy and Avery Konrad (Honor Society). New series regulars joining Season Two include Scott McCord (East of Middle West), Nathan D. Simmons (Diggstown, This Hour Has 22 Minutes), Kaelen Ohm (Hit & Run, Eumenides Falls), Angela Moore (A Series of Unfortunate Events, Maid), AJ Simmons (Reacher) and Deborah Grover (My Next Door Nightmare, Jann).
The series premiere of FROM was MGM+’s most-viewed original series premiere in the history of the premium network.

      @b1bbscraz3y@b1bbscraz3y3 ай бұрын

  • My theory is that whatever built the world they’re in and whatever controls it can also read minds and control their dreams. The dream imagery is everywhere in the show. For me, Tabitha proves that they’re in a shared dream world and the only way out is to die in the dream. Abby was right and she’s visiting Boyd in her dreams and telling him the truth. If you stop trying to survive the place you get out. The place is a lot like a game that resets when people exit, new people enter. Resources are provided when you try to stay like chickens and goats, but they get taken away if you attempt to leave. Abby , Iron Abby who doesn’t break, was sane. She remembers a dream from her childhood when she’s in Fromland because she’s Eloise and she was there before. She also remembers how she left and how to get out so she is actually freeing people. She’s now contacting them through her dreams to help them get back to her. The jukebox leads Boyd to the lighthouse. Later it plays In Dreams by Roy Orbison during a Boyd montage. The trailer for season two plays Dream a Little Dream. Tons of pictures in the opening of sequence are of beds and a monster taking one from their bed. El Cucuy or onkoowie takes bad kids from their beds, so this is somehow a part of the story as well. It’s depicted in the opening sequence. But dreams are the key and dying is the way out just like we typically awake before we die in dreams. There’s so many dream clues obviously with the sleeping attacks, everyone sees the tree when they arrive, Donna makes Fatima a dreamcatcher, etc. Yes, Donna is sus. So is Tilly, I think she might be Victor’s mom. Victor, Abby and Tilly look ALOT alike and the ages seem to match up for them as well.

I think Victor’s mom might have found a way back in to be with him before she dies of cancer. As others have mentioned, Tilly seems familiar with the place and more comfortable than you’d expect from someone new. She also just looks a lot like the actress who plays young Victor’s mom.

They also don't show his arms that could have the tattoo that was seen on Martin's upper arm.....We know time has no barriers in the Fromplace. I think Martin was the same as Abby and possibly Tom the bartender when talking to Jade, just using an appearance to manipulate them while they think it’s themselves. The people on the island trying to keep him on the island describe him as 'evil incarnate' so yeah sounds kind of like a boogeyman to me

    • Yep, I been getting "Man in Black" vibes for a while now. I agree with much of Eman's theory, but I like the way you put it better..."a" boogeyman, not "thee" boogeyman. My issue is why would a supernatural entity be connected to a music box, with its abilities heightened & weakened by its use or non-use. That leads me to believe that this boogeyman is more human in nature, but evil corrupted, a-la man in black. And this person at one time had a connection to the music box. My 2 cent.

  • Going back to season 1, Sarah described to Father Khatri who They were, that they had been there for a very long time and used to be like them (the people in town). Sarah mentions they were looking for a way to escape, to go home. They watched Khatri bury the bag, proving they exist via communication thru Sarah. Maybe its more than one entity, maybe some sort of spiritual phenomenon in a parallel world, where a big ass tree in the road results in a shift in the physical world around you. I wonder if It or They put the tree in the roads located all around the country for each person who arrived in this town.

The fact his eyes weren’t greyed out and he could hold a conversation unlike the three taken by the cicadas was a big giveaway Martin wasn’t necessarily a “real” person. Pretty certain Martin was just another shape shift like when it also presents as Abby and the worms. Loving this show so much, season 3 feels soooo far away!! • I think your right about the boogie man theory. This town is about taking advantage of your fears like spiders, cicadas, ventriloquist dummies, etc. but who is on the other side telling them the truth to break the music. The one that told them the nursery rhyme. It’s interesting that a nursery rhyme is something we tell children and is the children’s nursery rhyme that help kill the boogie man’s plan. And the children’s crayon drawings that solves the answers to the town’s mysteries. Who tells us nursery rhymes and who tells us to draw crayon pictures? Our mother. Victor’s mother tells her kids to make the crayon drawings. Who comforts us in the real world when we get a bad dream with the boogie man. Our mothers. Remember in season one when Ethan’s mother, Tabitha confronts Ethan when he gets fear or is scared of the monster that killed his finger puppets. She says to Ethan there is no such things as monsters. Mothers always comfort us from the boogie man or monsters in our dreams. So I think Victor’s mother is the one that is sending them the clues on how to stop the monsters. It was Victor’s mother I believe that sent them the clue about the nursery rhyme. Who makes us feel better when we have a bad dream. Our mothers do.

  • Good theory. My side theory: the dungeon is not a real place. It's a mindscape/illusion/dream or something. The Anywhere tree sent Boyd to the ruin where he appeared to leave and returned to the dungeon. This explains the rope, dungeon cleaning service, and the new three prisoners being there in the dungeon as well as in a different location at the same time.

    @damientom@damientom10 ай бұрын
  • If we build on this theory, It's possible the monster is disguised as one of three recent prisoners, most likely Randall. He could have been killed off when the cicadas came for him. This theory plays well with the mole conspiracy that was inserted in the show earlier.

  • My theory after watching the season today, is that the entity wanted all along Boyd to break the music box. That is probably the thing that kept him at bay. If you think, Martin uses the box to pressure Boyd into making a final decision. When he had the chance he infected Boyd with the larvaes. Boyd brings the desease into town, so eventually he would have transferred it to someone, start the incubation and then proceed to get 3 sacrifical goats to feed on and bring him back to the dungeon to free them and break the box. Also the boy in white could be again the entity that is trying to make people break the lighthouse or simply he needed someone to take Eloise back into town and she is probably the key of him being locked. The fact that everyone died the night she left Victor, might simply be the final battle to bottle up the evil.

That would explain why so many arrive with their entire families or their loved ones arrive later. It could be something they signed up for or were forced into while in their homes. I think those who die in the dream world just wake up and that’s why the boy in white apologized to Tabitha because he was separating her from her family. I think he’s a distractor in the dream world, not a helper. I think he may even run it and the message Sarah got to kill the boy was for the boy in white, because then they would wake up and be free. I think the voices are from the people who have left but return in their dreams to help the others get out by dying in the dream world

Cause Martin looked like an actual living skeleton. Martin was hoping to die and it seemed like he knew once the worms were out of him he could transition in peace. If it’s using their fears and they are all from different backgrounds and places, then the different rituals and tools and symbols would all be intertwined as well. Plus, I think maybe the place where tabitha woke up is where they are studying this entity. Martin could have been a shape shifting monster to trick Boyd but it doesn't seem likely to me. It would make more sense if martin was a real prisoner and needed to trick boyd into freeing him of his torture. Most people would think it’s the best part even before the talismans. Especially because you would assume the woods would be worse or even the caves. • One counter point. How do Julie, Randall, and Bitch girl appear in the chamber AND back in town? The 'bodies' imprisoned are souls. It's how Martin was still there and could not 'die'. So either Martin was real His soul at least. Or he has already expired and been twisted/ having his image used by the entity.

    • Counter to the counter... If let's say when someone dies their soul disappears, then why were those skeletons there when Boyd first arrived? I mean I don't know the rules to this place. 😅

      @EmansReviews@EmansReviews10 ай бұрын
    • Well that's no counter considering Julie's physical body was in town and in the chamber. The ones in the chamber must be psychic constructs, souls, ect. Who says souls are intangible and white clouds? Lol. When you die in the town from the cicadas, you appear to fully transition to the chamber in a soul like, yet physical state. There is no saving you at that point. There is only releasing your soul via transferring the worms. I believe those imprisoned are physical manifestations of souls, forced to stay there and relive periods of hope and despair, a forever dream and nightmare, fueling the entity of that place. I believe someone managed to free Martin's counterparts before, But he remained. A battery and or meal. Eternal. Til Boyd came lol

  • Also note that when all 3 of them being possessed by the Cicadas, their physical bodies were still present but also inside of the chamber. Martin body was in the chamber where is his current body? He could definitely be the bad guy!

  • E-man! I love this theory. I think you make some good points and id like to offer some more possible elements of King inspirations. First, the boogeyman also is the main vilan in The Outsider and the short story If It Bleeds. In that also he is a shapeshifter who feeds on fear. I think the connection to Pennywise is possible, but a bit of a stretch as It feeds on a 27 year cycle, in the town there appears to be constant feeding. However, i think there are strong elements of The Dark Tower. For example, the lighthouse seems to be a nexus to either just "the real world" and fromville, but maybe other worlds. There are evidence of spiders in the forest, which the crimson king and pennywise are spiders of sorts who come from the Prim. The theories surronding the children supporting the existence of the town with psychic abilities are similar to the breakers who are imprisoned by the can-toi to bring down the beam of shardik, thus brining down the tower. Finally, Boyd and Kenny, as the sherrif and deputy, are like the gunslingers of eld. Finally, much like in the novel, the tower is a focal point of obsession and once its reached...well, not to spoil anything. So, ya, some things to consider

  • Think you might be into something, after all the people who created this helped produce Lost and it reminds me of the man in black who would manifest as different people throughout the series. I think this is what is happening here... Martin, Father Katri, Abby, Tom the barman etc are all one and the same

  • I can totally see this as "IT". Even the lettering of the title, and the carving messages on skin in absolutely canon. I'm a big Stephen King fan, and thought the same about his promos. I got "IT" vibes early on, because what triggered me first was how often Ethan was wearing yellow. Then the spider stuff. Water. Going by the title, I wonder if this could be an origin story for "IT". Maybe they actually cause a split and bring IT with them in their attempts to get back home. I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing this. Can't wait for season 3!!!!

I recently binge re-watched the whole season 1 through to the end of season 2, and can see all the clues you see too now. Wow, it does make sense! If you see this, let me know what you think of my idea that they no-clipped into the town - which I base off the similarities in Level-10 of The Backrooms..

  • Not related but we now know Victor had a sister who escaped to follow their mother in the night of the attack. On the finale it was implied that Victor found his mother's body close to the bottles farway tree, but no sign of his sister, who probably was able to go into the tree. WHAT IF Tilly is Victor sister's, she was able to escape and now return? (Shoutout to @user-to8fm2zy8t 's comment saying that Till is a returnee btw) 1- We haven't seen Tilly nor Victor interact yet (and he probably wouldn't have recognized her anyway since he buried all his trauma, not even remembering he had a sibling); 2- she seemed to be the only "new comer" who was enjoying her time when the bus arrived at Fromville; 3- she also chose to stay at colony house (Victor's residence). 4- We were never told Victor's sister age but she could've been slighlty older or appear that way due to many other factor like pollution (that don't seem to affect fromville) or maybe illness (she brought the morphine). Idk I just think they focused too much on Tilly for there not to be a specific reason.

    • My theory is that they’re in a shared dream world that you wake up from when you die. I think Tilly is Victor’s mom who chose to return or was somehow able to return maybe as a mercy before her death from cancer, since she’s already dying. That being said, Abby said she had a nightmare of the place as a child. I think she died at the lighthouse as Eloise and she remembered that they all had to die to wake up. It would be cool if Tabitha found Abby in the real world because I believe Abby is sending messages from there in her dreams to help them get out. She told Boyd in the dungeon it doesn’t matter if you save them, you’re all going to die anyway. It’s true. They’re going to die and wake up eventually. By hoping and fighting for survival, they prolong their time there. But giving up on survival goes against Boyd’s nature( Mr. Fish and Loaves) so it’s nearly impossible to get him to stop.

  • I have really enjoyed all your videos and theories. You made some really great connections and points. It can match one of my theories about the 7 children. I think they could be being used as the engine creating the town. The twilight zone (among others)has an episode about a kid who could make things real from his imagination. In his case he used his power to torture his family but these kids in From are victims being used like the telepaths in Minority report who were being used to predict the future. If the kids are powering the town it would explain the Boogeyman either as the one using them or a creation from their imagination. That would explain why Tabitha needs to save them. Just a thought anyway. To get even crazier I think it would be interesting if the children are dreaming in different layers like Inception then Tabitha was pushed to another level.

  • It's implied multiple times by Victor that another massacre is quickly approaching, like the one that happened when he was a child. What if its possible Martin and Victor's family were in the town at the same time, and the night of the massacre, Victor's mother AND Martin escaped that night? What if somehow Martin and Victor's mother got separated at a Faraway Tree?

  • Great theory! Unfortunately, this show is NEVER give us the answers. It’s clear the writers are intent on creating mystery than providing answers. So much so that they will definitely end the show in the same way. It’ll be one of those, “the audience decides for themselves what really happen” situations.

  • The show is a big con. The writers have come up with so many themes, questions, then more questions with no answers and so vague it gets to the point the whole thing is so convoluted that they need a you tuber to assist audiences because the writers would rather troll than write good story. It will lose viewers over the break and continue to do so if they continue writing garbage.

  • Dude, you don't seem to understand the "hope" thing. She's not talking about the quantity of hope experienced, she means the intensity. Hope (especially in this nightmare town), is a once in a blue moon thing. Therefore any minor semblance of a hopeful change, is going to be intensely clung to (example the whole Hail Mary with the radio last season, or how about deciding to get married the day after a girl splits open in her sleep, a sleepless night, her bf going apeshit, and 3 characters being in some creepy torture coma..."Lets get married in case we die soon and don't get chance later, and also give the townsfolk something to feel good about to distract them from hell..." That's a thimble full of borderline false hope, that they nonetheless hang their wreaths on.). So "Abby" was right, hope is a powerful emotion, one of the most powerful, but it can be dangerous based on the likelihood of success, and the more fear, pain, suffering and misery you experience, the greater the hope on the slightest thing, or nothing at all really. The feeling of seeing your hope shattered is possibly the single worst of all feelings, DESPAIR. That's what people who lose a child or take their own life experience....

  • Ok first of all props!!! Most videos I have seen about this are just drawn out explanations of what I have already seen/know and passing it off as a theory or an explanation video. This is a brilliant theory! This possibility is great and another blogger suggested the (sluagh) which are a dark Fae race. Read up on it ITS VERY PLAUSIBLE. However, after this video and you highlighting the drawing in depth, I am actually leaning towards both theories boogieman/sluagh blended. BUT something rubs me wrong about that bald poop stirring guy who they exiled to the bus. He may be the person in that photo. Let’s see how he acts into season 3! Thanks for this solid video bruh! This show is confusing AF but HIGHLY ENTERTAINING.
