Back in 2019, Ryosuke Iwasa was able to win an IBF 122-pound championship against future Naoya Inoue opponent - Marlon Tapales.
The Japanese southpaw out-worked a comparatively inactive Marlon Tapales before blasting Tapales with a left hand that ultimately ended their scheduled 12-round fight in the 11th round at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Iwasa’s perfectly placed overhand left knocked Tapales underneath a bottom rope with 2:09 to go in the 11th round.

    • Here's the great records of Casimero. Casimero was KO'd by Moruti Mthalane in 5 rounds. Casimero beat Zolani Tete. Tete was also KO'd by Mthalane in 5 rounds and couldn't even KO old/small Omar Narvaez even in 118 lbs. Casimero didn't accept the fight money reduction as Inoue did, ducked Inoue and beat the weak boxer Micah. Casimero barely won Guillermo Rigondeaux. This fight is regareded as the most boring fight ever. Rigondeaux was even beaten easily by Vincent Astrolabio. Casimero ducked Butler twice and moved to 122 lbs. Casimero beat the weakest chicken Akaho. Casimero barely won a controversial hometown decision against a weak Namibian. Casimero showed poor performance against a semi retired boxer and proved again he is weak. Casimero is a great boxer, has proved nothing and will fight weak boxers as usual.

    • Cool boy Steph was an undefeated champion that picked guys apart with speed and boxing skill. Inoue made him look slow and unsure of every punch. Fulton didn't take his guard down because the punishment was too heavy.. if you took any elite fighter in the world and put them in the ring with Inoue at the same weight he fights at I'd bet he'd beat 99/100 guys.. he has too much speed, power, defense to be over matched. His preparation is on a different level too.. It will take a great fighter to beat him. He has heart too. Beat Donaire with a broken orbital bone.. guy is a warrior

    • US only pay inoue $1 million per fight. In japan, inoue earns at least $5 million nowadays so if they want to see him fight in the US then they better pay him better.
