  • Something very different to usual. What an unbelievable experience. I’ll be keeping an eye out on St Pat’s and Minnesota Utd all year long. I should also probably apologise for my insultingly bad singing.

    • St. Patrick's did well in an away game! And, just so you know, it was my dream to sing and play Wonderwall with a Manc (or a group of them). A few years back, I finally did. So, when I saw you singing it in Minnesota, I was moved. Loved this video. Please make more! If you could make one on Celta de Vigo (Celtic of Vigo), I would really appreciate it! They are celebrating their 100th anniversary this year and there is a popular song [watch video on KZhead: "C. Tangana - Oliveira Dos Cen Anos (Video Oficial)"] that was produced as part of the celebration!

  • So with Wonderwall, it's become a tradition to sing it after every Minnesota United win. The tradition dates back to the time that they were in the US lower leagues where one of the former coaches was in a band at one point. After every win, he'd play songs on the guitar for the players in the locker room. A video leaked out to the supporters group of all the players singing along to that coach playing Wonderwall. After their next win, the supporters sang Wonderwall to the players and it's become a tradition now.

I promise 😬 I know it is not your primary sport, but the best game day experience in the United States is by far College Football. The fans are passionate, the history is rich with rivalries going back over a century, and the traditions are unique. I would love to see you go to a Penn State White Out, Michigan vs Ohio State, or an Iron Bowl between Alabama and Auburn. You will not be disappointed. I’m talking stadiums with 115,000+ passionate fans. We also have a traveling TV show that hosts a big event at a different school each week called “College Gameday”. Similar to football in Europe, there are also many small universities with small but loyal supporters and rich histories. No other sport in the US compares imo

It helps me to really see and understand what the sport is really about which is extremely important to me. Keep doing your awesome work!!!! (Side note, imagine if European managers and players found their way into American into their stadiums and started utilizing these facilities like no other)

  • I always love when the Loons do these friendlies, we played FC Kaiserslautern last June and we even beat Everton back in 2022 but its safe to say I'll have to start paying attention to St Pats COYL! (Also you should definitely come back for a league match and join the supporters in the Wonderwall)

  • What a lovely video! Long time subscriber, wish I knew you were coming to that game. Coulda given you pointers of things to see and do around the Twin Cities. Although from the looks of it, you got around town just fine. Very different atmosphere for sure than what European stadiums are like. Minnesota is being known for being “Minnesota nice” though so I doubt you’d have the same experience in other places, like Philadelphia. And kit prices for sure are exorbitant, to be fair though that top was probably the one players wear on the field, the fan replicas are closer to 90 USD which is around the 70 quid mark you’re probably used to seeing. Absolutely love the videos. Keep up the great work!

  • One fun MLS tradition I recently found out about, the Vancouver Whitecaps chants after goals. They do the normal call and response of the goal scorers name, the announcer saying the first name, the crowd saying the last, but then the announcer says, “thank you” and the crowd says, “you’re welcome.” I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen anything more Canadian, and I am Canadian

  • since you've done a video on the Scottish premiership, and the league of Ireland, it would be great if you could do a video about the Cymru Premier. while the standard isn't as high as the league of Ireland or Scottish premiership, the league is improving, and teams like Caernarfon, Colwyn bay and Barry have pretty decent fanbases.

  • I love seeing games like this. Teams that would never (normally) play each other get a chance to play. I would love to see Atlanta United do something like this. Also, when Jake showed on the screen I thought he looked familiar. I did a little digging to refresh my memory and verify it. That is Jake Mulraney. He played for Atlanta United a few years ago. Very cool.

  • So happy to see you checking out the game here in America! As you noted, it is more of a relaxed environment for most as sports are not 'Life or Death' like football is over there. Every team has their supporters groups and other hardcore followers, but most crowds are made up of people just hanging out to watch a game. I've come to appreciate both types of crowds since diving into football and checking out games overseas.
