His indefatigable fearlessness is second to none. Even the Diaz brothers respect him. I don't know if he's in the UFC Hall of Fame but he certainly belongs there. All that being said however, Diego is looking bad. He should retire and live a more peaceful lifestyle. He looks good with a beard and mustache though.

  • Where boxers will always have advantages over MMA or BK guys: 1.) Lateral movement 2.) Stamina 3.) Striking speed, power, and accuracy 4.) Recovery from a strike 5.) Ability to make someone miss and counter Because those are all things a boxer trains in religiously. Even though Trout was only an "okay" boxer and is now well past his prime, he will do just fine against other guys trying to punch with him. A lot of people think boxers only throw punches, or that big padded gloves are somehow "easier" to take a punch from than bare knuckles. Simply isn't true. While bare knuckles are more likely to result in cuts, a gloved fist is more likely to ring someone's bell and KO them with how the power is dispersed.

  • Referring to his later MMA career, I struggle to figure out what happened to Diego's grappling game. The man used to grapple like crazy and it was his insane pace that broke them time and time again but as his career went on he just became a brawler with barely a ground game.

    • It can be argued that regular boxing is more dangerous because the body is more likely to give out in bare knuckle but with regular boxing you have gloves on and are able to take a lot more strikes to the head/body causing more and potentially longer lasting damage.
