I Proved Redstone Wasn't Hard In Minecraft Hardcore

In this episode of Minecraft Hardcore, I continue building on my Hardcore Skill Tree by learning how Redstone works and finding that it's not as hard as I thought! Maybe Mumbo Jumbo was right in that Redstone is actually "super simple".
If you're also wondering, this video is also a bit inspired by Kolaani's "I Built The Most Over The Top Beacon In Minecraft Hardcore" video, just thought I'd give that small bit of credit as well :)

  • Edit (30/12): In case anyone is still watching these, I apologize but there won't be a 4th episode, this series will be discontinued. Playing Hardcore has been really mentally taxing and I simply just wasn't having fun with it anymore. But it isn't completely going away however, all the ideas I had for this series will get their own individual videos, so you can look forward to those. :) I've hope you all enjoyed this one, it's a bit different than the usual hardcore vids, since it's entirely focused on Redstone and it's more educational, but I hope it's still fun to watch nonetheless :) Special credit to Snap2it for his clock tower design: kzhead.info/sun/jdqYmM-ZpJ2HaYU/bejne.htmlsi=hR_kzj4FQrT2stHL And The Dominator for his banger Aria Math remix: kzhead.info/sun/rM2MYKiInJ2Jd4k/bejne.htmlsi=R9RSDXBtKLBMq0Ny

  • Comparators also have a subtraction mode. Right clicking on the comparator turns on the third light and putting it into subtraction mode. When in this mode, comparator subtracts redstone signal on one or both sides from the signal on the back of the comparator and output the result in the front.

    @oneonlykiha@oneonlykiha7 ай бұрын
    • I'm aware, I just didn't include it because the clock design didn't use that function

      @XayXayYT@XayXayYT7 ай бұрын
    • To be honest I didn't know it worked like this, I just knew that the simple redstone signal repeating thing everyone uses required you to right click it for whatever reason lol (If my wording confused you at all, I'm referring to when you power the back and then connect the front and one of the sides with redstone to repeatedly turn the redstone on and off very quickly)

      @hithereireallysuck@hithereireallysuck6 ай бұрын
    • @@hithereireallysuckyeah, that's basically the comparator doing subtraction over and over again. You give it a constant redstone signal at the back and wire the front of the comparator to it's side. One tick the clock is turned on, then the next tick the comparator subtracts the signal on the side from the signal on the back and the clock turns off, then the next tick the comparator realizes that the signal on the side is turned off and there is no subtraction to be done, so the clock now turns on again, and then it just repeats the cycle over and over until you remove the signal on the back of the comparator

The most advanced thing I've built in Survival was a blaze farm that automatically suffocates blazes to 1 hit point once there are enough of them (before the 24 entity cramming limit). Also, I've had my character recently die on an SMP to a hoglin that threw me off a bridge into lava - I had crappy armor with no Protection so I couldn't just tank the damage and sustain myself on food like you did.
