What do you think about spelt?
Or those grains could be fermented with yeast the way it used to be, and people didn’t have any gut problems from bread. Fermented foods are very healthy indeed.
Thank you for sharing! Yes, Dr. Gundry does recommend fermententation to reduce lectins. 🙌
😆😉 THEY. SURE ARE....... YHUMBS UP !
All bread is still fermented with yeast. How do you think they make bread now?
@@disbsam333no the yeast just leaven’s the bread. For true fermentation lactic bacteria must be present.

After reading Plant Paradox, I just stocked up on organic sorghum flour, and it's AWESOME! I tried it out by taking a 1/4 cup, adding a sprinkle of Celtic salt, and water until it was a thick paste. Heated a frypan with butter and pressed the paste into the pan to make a small flatbread. Wow, was that delicious. I'm on a low carb regimen, but I can splurge on one of those as a treat. I haven't had "treats" like that since December of last year because I'm solving a gut/histamine intolerance problem by IF and low carb so I'm pretty ecstatic. Thank you, Dr. Gundry!
We're so thrilled to hear you have been finding some great lectin-free options!! Those flatbreads sound delicious. 🙌

Foods like beans that are the highest I lectins are important parts of the diets of people who live the longest and are known as one of the best dietary indicators of longevity. There is no reason to be scared of lectins when you properly cook your food.
@papatycoon4320 true but dont have pressure cooker and am saying i had to learn which foods had aggravating lectins that i had been eating without knowing..
@@thjonez You don’t need a pressure cooker to remove lectins. If your eating things like beans, simply soak(if their dried and change water between after soaking and before cooking) and cook via boiling or stewing beans until soft. Also the pure glucose of the grain’s carbohydrates will spike your blood glucose sugar levels faster then even sucrose (table sugar). Wonder why you feel so tired after eating bread? Because you are getting the blood sugar lows after your pancreas is pumping out insulin to remove the glucose from your blood!

If you really want to eat your bread, do the following: first sprout your wheat until the little shouts are bigger then just the little white partes are out, soaking for 24 minimum, rinsing well the sprout in a dark place, rinsing 3 times a day to avoid mold. Soak 1 cup of lentils black or orange ones, after the sprout is done add to a mixture to crush it well, the add water, salt, the lentils and make you bread, add nuts and seed.this type is packed with nutrients and loads of fibers , this help a very small relise of insulin, its delicious, but dont eat more then one slice per day
High carb whole food plant based diets that are low in oil have been shown to reverse type 2 diabetes and lessen the insulin requirements of type 1 diabetics.(The high-carbohydrate diet in diabetes management)”A high-CHO, low-fat diet would appear to be best, provided it results in a more normal average level of blood glucose. An increase in dietary soluble fiber also may be useful in reducing the serum cholesterol concentration. In such a diet, those CHO foods that raise the postprandial glucose concentration the least should be emphasized.”
Millet in the whole form, cooked in a pot with broth would help your diabetes because it is a resistance starch.

I received a bag of sorghum this morning that I purched and just tried it for the first time! It smelled like popcorn (not buttered though) while it was cooking. I pressure cooked it in my Ninja Foodi which took 30 mins otherwise it would have taken 50-60 mins. After it was done cooking, I put some in a small saucepan and added some half and half, a pat of butter, half of a banana (chopped), cocoa powder, chopped walnuts, and xylitol (from birch) to sweeten it a little more. Stirred together then heated that up. I topped it off with a little heavy cream and it was delicious! Next time I make it I will soak the sorghum overnight to see if I like the texture even better.
