Today in our village, we cook the traditional paniyaram recipe using jackfruits! First, we cut the jackfruits then we make them as a jam for mixing with rice flour.
In between the time we also eat jackfruits because of the taste!
Finally, we enjoy the Jackfruit recipe and its taste is, delicious!

    • @@angomnanao1695 in tamil culture v have three main fruits known as 'mukkani' - these fruits are used for a lot of hindu festivals in tamilnadu....those three fruits are mango, jackfruit and banana....thts wat he said as "mukkani la onnu palaa palam"- which is translated as "jackfruit, one among the three tamil fruits(mukkani)" Hope u got it😊😊

    • Raw jackfruit is very good to make vegetable dishes like spiced curry or kootu.( Shredded coconut and spices) Ripened jackfruit is used in making payasam( sweet dessert) using jaggery . This is an amazing sweet dish , These are mostly common in Kerala and some parts of tamizhmadu.

  • State fruit of kerala...ripen ones are very sweet , raw ones used for making chips, different curry dishes... excess jackfruit during season are deep fried and stored for months... can be used for making payasam or mixed with rice powder & steamed to make a sweet dish...

  • I’ve had jackfruit curry before made by a Sri Lankan auntie. It was ok. This looks nice, I thought it was a sweet, but it’s a savoury? I think I prefer to just eat the fruit alone, it’s delicious cold too.

  • Iam akeralite. I always look forward to the arrival of jackfruit season. Iam addicted to cooked jf and prepare every day for five months. We clean it remove the seed and cut into slices before cooking. It is the most delicious and healthy food in the world. Though jackfruits are ubiquitous here most malayalis don't cook because it is a hard and time consuming activity. Millions of jackfruits get spoiled here. It contains lot of fibre and can fight diabetese.
