    • This is what happens when the centrist party insists on perpetually splitting the difference with the conservative party who insists on perpetually pushing the envelope rightward. You end up with a situation where the now-hard-right conservative party insists that the now-center-right corporate party is "far-left" and that any election that doesn't come out in favor of the right wing is illegitimate by definition.

    • The fact that the Dems did not punish a single one of the Jan 6 coup ringleaders is insane. Even D e J o y is still in office, which is Biden's fault _alone._ This sends the message the insurrectionists did nothing wrong, that you can coup with impunity and that the Dems are scared because _they_ are in fact the wrongdoers. All of this is completely obvious. The Dems avoided punishing the ringleaders because they thought it would help them make political hay for the midterms. They even _funded_ some of the biggest HOP whackos on ballots up and down the country, obviously thinking they would be easy to defeat by the bland centrist candidates they prefer to run against them. That is the opposite of putting up a fight for democracy.

    • No matter the role, Nick Offerman radiates a commanding and prestigious aura that makes me listen to everything he ever says. If he had a TV show where he taught people about the history of wood craftsmanship, it would be the number one rated show on the planet

    • I'm 31 and I wish he'd take me for my first drink. It won't be my first, but I think it'll still be magical.
