Watching this summary would be misleading, if it wasn't for the score being displayed. Fairly poor selection of play sequences. Hard to say how well Simona played, since most of the winning shots presented were Aryna's.

I did not see the match statistics. They are somehow difficult to find ! I wish they showed the set summary at the end of each set. Usually, highlights consist of winners. I don't want to see Sabalenka hitting the net stupidly. And I don't wan't to see Halep pushing the ball in the middle until Sabalenka takes a risk and misses. They could do better in showing us the break points, even though they are unforced errors. It's verrrrrry common to see people complaining about highlights favoring a hard hitter vs. a more defensive player.

@@brahicmorgan8893 If you want to see only nice shots, there are plenty of compilations - just look up "great tennis shots". A match summary is supposed to capture the defining moments, regardless of how disappointing they may be. Now that I've seen the entire match I can say it definitely didn't.

Yeah, like was only for Belarus tv! "Tursunov (Sabalenka coach!) on court talk is still fascinating. He basically asked Aryna to be professional, because Simona is playing good and Simona is busting her ass (that’s what he literally said) and won’t give you any gifts.And he also started with: “So what now? Are you gonna hide from me in the towel?”, when Aryna was covering her whole head.."

Very good match from Simona, she changed tactics in set 2 and 3..excellent concentration, kept her cool and fighting spirit! I saw the match and I must say these highlights don't make justice, Simona had a lot more winning shots...especially the one from defence going offence, on the run! Why showing so many shuts of Sabalenka, and just a few of Simona? Disappointing I must say!

Unbelievable! Simona won and made some terrific shots but these highlights are showing only the points won by Sabalenka! By the end of the second set it was 12 3 for Sabalenka according to the highlights. It continued the same! Shameful!

Hey David, Happy holidays hope all is well with you!! may you have a happy Christmas. I haven't heard much about Simona's case, only that the substance was in one of her supplements. However I believe the person who did it came forward, but supposedly it was accidental. I hope to see her on court in 2023, she has been ruled out of Australia open due to a trial that's going to happened, since they found the culprit who did it. Best wishes!! Did Halep get three points every time she hit the ball? I ask because, from the highlights selected Halep could only win if she got points for hitting any ball. How about show the best shots from the winner of each set? I really wanted to see Halep break down her opponent like she had to in order to win this match. All I saw was a thousand forehands from Sabalenka that ultimately only proved that a rocket of a forehand in the first set apparently can't alone win a match.

A typical scenario telling how tenacious ex-world number 1 is. Not in her top notch, Sabalenka could not do much and eventually succumbed. Neither was Simona, but eventually her composure led her to a sweet victory. The draw is not favoring too much the top seed, but again she's survived the day! Amazing!

All kind of winners kept coming from Sabalenka´s racket while magically the score kept adding on Halep Side! (that´s the story of this match adording to this highlights) THey missed some incredible and agressive Halep returns on key points on the second set and an almost criminal highlight cut was a passing shot on the run from the forehand side, yes... by Halep, that was from my pount of view the shot of the tournament so far and the one that took away any kind of believe from an still dangerous Sabalenka at the climax of the third set, from them on, Halep played some beautiful comanding tennis that also didn´t make the final cut. BTW this is nothing against Sabalenka who played a beautiful agressive match but man, did they erase most of Halep´s shots in this one.

The 1st set: Sabalenka was playing in her rhythm: very quick balls, while in response Simona was giving her high comfortable balls. 2nd set: Simona changed the tactics. She does not often use cross-court, mostly down the line, while Sabalanke is cross-courting. Simona now looks very concentrated, as she is solving the puzzle. She steps up her game and takes risks: wild angles, very thin margins. The grand master of lines. She did what was needed to do to win the set. Sabalenka was too late to adapt. 3rd set: Thumbs up to Sabalenka for trying out new things, initially it payed off. But both players started to make many, many mistakes. And Sabalenka started to lose her nerve, was seemingly frustrated. Simona continued to use wide angles, but wasn't as lucky as in the 2nd. Many mistakes. Simona was also disappointed, but was able to continue. She seemed to understand that the game now was about "who makes less errors", while pursuing their crazy tactics. (Hard hitting for Sabalenka, wild angles and lines for Simona.) It was a bit sad to see Aryna's dissapointment and boiling sometimes. Yet, I am impressed how Simona in 3rd continued to play her high-risk game despite many mistakes. It was game of margins and the mind. Well, I was listening to Tursunov's coaching. A bit harsh. I guess it works for Aryna. Or just a post-soviet mentality of Aryna and Tursunov. Sad to watch. But we are just humans.

However I believe the person who did it came forward, but supposedly it was accidental. I hope to see her on court in 2023, she has been ruled out of Australia open due to a trial that's going to happened, since they found the culprit who did it. Best wishes!! Did Halep get three points every time she hit the ball? I ask because, from the highlights selected Halep could only win if she got points for hitting any ball. How about show the best shots from the winner of each set? I really wanted to see Halep break down her opponent like she had to in order to win this match. All I saw was a thousand forehands from Sabalenka that ultimately only proved that a rocket of a forehand in the first set apparently can't alone win a match.

A typical scenario telling how tenacious ex-world number 1 is. Not in her top notch, Sabalenka could not do much and eventually succumbed. Neither was Simona, but eventually her composure led her to a sweet victory. The draw is not favoring too much the top seed, but again she's survived the day! Amazing!
From these"highlights" you might say Sabalenka won...shame on you wta...congrats Simona, amazing fight. 👏

All kind of winners kept coming from Sabalenka´s racket while magically the score kept adding on Halep Side! (that´s the story of this match adording to this highlights) THey missed some incredible and agressive Halep returns on key points on the second set and an almost criminal highlight cut was a passing shot on the run from the forehand side, yes... by Halep, that was from my pount of view the shot of the tournament so far and the one that took away any kind of believe from an still dangerous Sabalenka at the climax of the third set, from them on, Halep played some beautiful comanding tennis that also didn´t make the final cut. BTW this is nothing against Sabalenka who played a beautiful agressive match but man, did they erase most of Halep´s shots in this one.

The 1st set: Sabalenka was playing in her rhythm: very quick balls, while in response Simona was giving her high comfortable balls. 2nd set: Simona changed the tactics. She does not often use cross-court, mostly down the line, while Sabalanke is cross-courting. Simona now looks very concentrated, as she is solving the puzzle. She steps up her game and takes risks: wild angles, very thin margins. The grand master of lines. She did what was needed to do to win the set. Sabalenka was too late to adapt. 3rd set: Thumbs up to Sabalenka for trying out new things, initially it payed off. But both players started to make many, many mistakes. And Sabalenka started to lose her nerve, was seemingly frustrated. Simona continued to use wide angles, but wasn't as lucky as in the 2nd. Many mistakes. Simona was also disappointed, but was able to continue. She seemed to understand that the game now was about "who makes less errors", while pursuing their crazy tactics. (Hard hitting for Sabalenka, wild angles and lines for Simona.) It was a bit sad to see Aryna's dissapointment and boiling sometimes. Yet, I am impressed how Simona in 3rd continued to play her high-risk game despite many mistakes. It was game of margins and the mind. Well, I was listening to Tursunov's coaching. A bit harsh. I guess it works for Aryna. Or just a post-soviet mentality of Aryna and Tursunov. Sad to watch. But we are just humans.
