  • As many have pointed out, it seems that I switched to my dollar tree mic at 0:07 to 2:53. Truth is, the music got copyrighted, so KZhead tried to mute out the background audio as best as it could. Apologies for that, it won’t happen again.

I had no clue that his videos were copies of others, I just thought he was a really creative guy who could come up with videos ideas instantly which is how he uploaded so often. Only now do I realise how obvious it was that something was happening behind the scenes. I’d say the same thing is happening to all of his current subscribers. • One thing to mention about Steveee is that he is a silent character. He never speaks in his videos at all. Which, if you think about it, probably helped him to get his current subscriber count. The people Steveee stole their ideas from (especially redstone KZheadrs) speak a lot of in-depth explanations for their contraptions. And that probably would doze some people off. Meanwhile Steveee pretty much literally lets the contraption speak for itself without any explanation about the redstoning. It started when I watched another exposition video not only about Steveee, but also other short minecraft video KZheadrs. I then asked the creator of the video about why people like Steveee gained so many views while the original creators only got like a tenth of the amount. He then answered that the original creators talk a lot about their creation and people don't really like the large amount of explanation. Meanwhile people like Steveee got their gigantic amount of views by simply keeping quiet and let the contraption do the talking. So it's basically a case of a superior not having much luck with his product. But his employees proceeded to sell their superior's product and get all the money for their own due to them slapping their own label/name on it. Albeit it's probably a little more complicated than that...

  • One small thing. In that first video, Steveee didn't use immersive portals. If you replay the video and you slow it down, you can see that his HUD emerges from behind the floor blocks of the desert pyramid. What he actually did was replace the block below the floor with a green block, probably using green concrete or any number of publicly available chroma key block texture packs, then zoomed in on the first clip to create a semi-almost-decently smooth transition. Why he did this is a mystery to me, as it's not only quite a bit harder to pull off (well, for most people) but actually looks a lot worse than if he had just done the effect in-game.

  • Although I do agree with this video, I dont get at 8:50 where the redditer claims stevee “used a clip and didnt credit the creator”, in my opinion it’s such a petty claim since the clip is a literal meme. It just doesn’t make sense to me why someone would call out steveee for using a meme

    @mr_scoobis@mr_scoobis11 ай бұрын
    • It’s very common for people to steal content as memes, and it’s extremely prevalent on KZhead Shorts and TikTok and other short form content like that, so often people see it as okay, but keep in mind that it is stealing others content, and especially when it’s their humor and playing it off as your own to bring them down and yourself up.

  • Correct me if I’m wrong, but can’t all the content creators who got their content stolen could just copyright claim all of Steveees videos right? I saw a meme channel have this happen a while back where they posted an exact copy of someone else’s meme, and got copyright claimed for it.

    @aduckwalkeduptoalemonadestand@aduckwalkeduptoalemonadestand11 ай бұрын
    • Yes but copying right claiming is not as easy it sounds, there is a lot of documents, images proofs, explaining etc that you have to do, then you need to wait to see if what you showed is enough and if they agree with me. There's a reason people complain about youtube copyright system being terrible, and the false copyright claims aren't the only reason.

  • Fun fact - I heard that this steveee guy is a former Russian minecraft KZheadr nicknamed "Vocky" or "Vockich" or "I am Vocky". And, from what I heard in this video, he didn't change at all lmao. Vocky produced a "I made 100 players do X and Y" content, and some others. But he also copied other people's ideas, copied people's thumbnails, and even tried to get hype thanks to others. For example, one of the first and largest Russian "100s" KZheadrs called FivFiv made a video, and then Vocky would upload his POV of how he participated in that video. That happened many times, iirc. And then, he would argue with other creators about THEM stealing ideas from HIM, and calling their fans toxic children, although his fans were like this. One of the 100s called Denaz made an exposure video (in Russian, sadly, but here is the link, if you know Russian - kzhead.info/sun/eMqTf9qNi5-Ff5E/bejne.html), where talked about Vocky, and talked about how Vocky accused others of stealing content, and being a massive hypocrite in his Discord Server - people needed to pay to get in (although many people payed, but DIDN'T get in), or to buy some VIP kind of stuff on the server (for REAL MONEY), and then they get banned for no reason, the admin of the server being a massive jerk. And the server having very strange rules, like "Not to mention KZheadrs who have over 1,5 subs, because Vocky would be jealous" (i am not joking). And after Denaz's video Vocky left YT, and some people say that he changed into steveee. I think he showed his old nickname in one of the old videos
