  • Also, Taylor plays, acoustic, electric and 12-string guitar, banjo, ukulele, and piano. At least those are what she has performed playing, she could know others but doesn't perform with them

  • Taylor has tipped people working on her Eras tour $55 MILLION DOLLARS. The truck drivers who mover her equipment each received $100,000.00 a piece. According to the trucking company who hauls her equipment, she sent her dad to personally hand the tips to each driver along with handwritten notes from Taylor. The trucking company said no other celebrity they have ever worked with has ever tipped even close to this amount and some celebs tip nothing. They also said this is a “life changing” amount of money for all the drivers who received it. I’m 65. A grandma. I guess I’m also now a Swiftie.

    • She's so much wealthier than most celebrities, and $100k is almost pocket change for her, though it would be life changing for most of us. She is quite generous and it's fantastic that she gave such huge tips to these folks who make her concerts happen.

  • Jack Antonoff has been Taylor Swift’s main producer since 2013 and they have worked on 50+ songs together. He says “she was the first person to recognize him as a music producer”. In fact it was all over my local news that TS was one of the guests at his New Jersey wedding this past weekend. There is a documentary/concert “The Long Pond Studio Sessions” that was filmed during the pandemic in 2020 showing her working on “Folklore” with Antonoff, Aaron Dessner and Justin Vernon. It was so insightful watching the process and collaboration on creating these songs. I watched it many times in 2020-21 when no live music was available. I love your knowledge and appreciation of the song writing process.

    • I don't especially care for her music, but there's no denying that she's quite the artist and her medium is words. I don't dislike her music really. I just prefer strong more mature voices. Linda Ronstadt and Nancy Wilson come to mind. I am more of a rock music fan, and Taylor is bubblegum pop to me. I like Miley Cyrus, Pink and Kelly Clarkson. They can belt songs, and I love a good rasp in the voice. Songwriting has to be so fulfilling! I love writing, but have no idea how to write a song. I like Taylor's song called Remember it Well, that may not be the correct title, but I like the way she paints that story. Some of her stuff is immature sounding to me and starts sounding alike.

  • it’s so nice to hear and see a musician actually give taylor the credit she deserves. i mainly listen to metal/screamo/emo music but i just adore taylor’s talent with songwriting. she gets pushed aside as some surface level pop artist so often. she’s so much more than that. your analysis was awesome.

  • I think you'd really like this interview that just dropped where Jack Antonoff (frequent taylor swift collaborator, best friends, she was the one that took a chance on him as a producer years ago) talks about the technical aspect of Taylor's album midnights and is really detailed about the tools he uses to craft the music!

    @megimihaylova98@megimihaylova988 ай бұрын
  • There are quite a few videos showing her as she creates songs. She started recording the process herself because she kept getting people who claimed that she didn't wasn't actually writing her own songs. Or at least not the majority of them. And that she wasn't as involved in their creation as she is. So she felt like she had to have proof. Her third album is a result of those criticisms too. She was the sole writer for all the songs on that album. Even when there are other writers given credit in her songs, the majority of the work is hers.

I think when you are in a creative world, professional or hobby, you do the same things. I have tons of pictures I've printed out for ideas and scraps of paper with ideas - not just on my phone. Working out an idea with drawings and sketches that are discarded and others that are fleshed out. So those that write, draw, paint, play music, write music, take pictures, ect., all have a lot of things familiar. Even those who do hobbies like knitting or cross stitch, etc I would imagine go thru the same
