  • That's a much better idea of cutting the plates with a guillotine rather than oxy. It's quicker, more economical and saves a lot of work. The press operator is very skilled with operating the press.

  • There’s some amazing skills shown in this video. Some adaptations of practices for sure but I guess they work and get the job done. My respect goes to what they do because if it doesn’t pay off they certainly wouldn’t be doing it. I will subscribe because I am willing to learn each and every day.

  • Pretty solid metalworking skills there to make the frame. Probably worth priming/painting the inner frame before assembly/welding to ensure rust prevention, and using a basic oil for drilling all those holes would likely extend the bit life, and make the drilling process faster and easier.

    • They usually paint the whole truck, including the bottom side when the whole truck is assembled and ready for paint. But yes, priming and painting the body chasis frame would also be advantageous.

  • why would you sandwich an old rusted frame inside new steel what, they could have just got thicker sheet steel. It will rust quickly that way.

    • The old section of frame rail has the factory drilled holes 🕳 in it . Basically its being used as a template for drilling the new holes into the new sections of chassis frame..plus it still has the original chassis number stamped on it ..
