I loved it. I had been saying that about her since the ending. Perfectly describes everything about the ending.
This is what I really love about the ending of the game. We're right back to 1997, where people are thinking "omg in part 3 is Aerith gonna be alive, can we resurrect her?" which was by far one of the most famous rumors of gaming for the era. They managed to get us all speculating just like that for the next 3-4 years lol
I know, that one got me. Maybe it's because I watched some of Van Helsing Ultimate Abridged recently, but the Shrodinger's Aerith is just the best way to describe the situation right now based on what we (don't) know.
No seriously, if you didnt pet the little adorable baby Chocobos you are a certified lunatic. They worked hard to find you and guide you back to pick up that damn pole.
I did it the first ten times. Couldn't be bothered the other 100+ times.
After you beat the game. All of the chocobo stops are shown on your map regardless if you previously found them or not.
Even Cloud smiles when he pets the baby chocobo.

If it wasn't for the mini games it wouldn't been so bad. I swear the main story is probably 30 hours and all the mini-games and side quests are like 50 hours.
I am 60 percent through and got 5 more chapters!. Taking ages

@@lemnlime66 It's bizarre Rebirth didn't have EC's outfits in any way. They at least let you change clothes permanently in NG+, but there's still a small number of them.

It's funny but at the same time it quite annoying in games like this. When you come across an NPC and asks if you can do some shitty fetch quest for them, you should have the option of saying "dude, I'm litetally trying to save the planet here, find someone else!"
That's Zelda: Majora's Mask in a nutshell too. The story also involves a (sort of?) parallel world where the Moon is going to crash into the planet in three days, but you spend 90% of your time doing side-quests and collecting masks rather than tackling dungeons.
Sephiroth: Cloud find the goddamn Black Materia! Cloud: Yeah, yeah. Maybe after this game of Queen’s Blood.

I've been avoiding the remake / rebirth because I wasn't convinced they'd treat the source material with enough respect. But you can date nanaki now. I'm sold.

I swear im the only person where this ending makes complete sense, asnwers questions. I believe it to be jaw droppingly good.
I think it makes sense to me, there are just things that aren't clear/certain yet. Like I understand the overall situation, but I can't be sure of some details. I understand branching (and recombining) timelines just fine, but for example, it APPEARED that there was a timeline split where Aerith lived in one and died in another...but the game isn't clear on if the "lived" timeline still exists or if it was destroyed. Under the rules established, it can still exist and could still be running in parallel even now. And when we see Cloud at the end, he can see the rift in the sky, but when they fly off and Aerith watches them, presumably from her perspective, she cannot...even though she seemed to have been able to before (even when you first leave Midgard, she comments on how she doesn't like the sky, which could be implying she saw it even then.) I understand the general rules that seem to have been established and what they COULD mean, but I'm not entirely sure what the writers have decided IS going to mean. (e.g. just because the parallel timeline Aerith lived in CAN exist does not mean the writers will ALLOW it to.)
"Aeris dies" is such a known meme, and i love that they dodged it by making it so f*cking confusing that noone can actually spoil it properly, because noone can say for sure what happens to her
Let's pray things will make some sense when FFVII Reunion comes out

The Baby 'Bos must ALWAYS be petted. and its actually worth resting at one of the stops just to watch them wake up, it's so darn cute! and I think I saw Red and Cait sleeping, curled up together once.
So here’s what I think happened. Cloud is stuck between worlds. He’s got one foot in the timeline where he saved Aerith but along with everyone else, he also has a foot in the original Aerith dies timeline. Sephiroth mentioned how he planned to merge all the separate timelines into one single convergent timeline but thanks to the Midgardians of the Gaea-xy, that plan is kaput but the casualty is that now Cloud has to watch everyone else suffer the heartbreaking loss of Aerith all while he can still see and speak with her like nothing is wrong. And with Red seemingly the only other one who could possibly tell she still walks amongst them in a way, I think Sephiroth’s new goal is to let this whole mess play out as the group starts to slowly ditch Cloud because they think he’s gone cuckoo for Choco Puffs.

It's funny how people act as if Nomura's the only one making crazy stories when the litteral First Final Fantasy ends revealing the story was all a timeloop. And let's not even mention the time fuckery that is FF8.
Don’t forget that Nomura was the one that wanted to stay close to the original and it’s Kitase in charge of storytelling. Plus, even in the original Nomura prevented some crazy stuff from happening

Everyone saying this game is full of Nomura’s shenanigans when in actuality he was the one who wanted the remake to be a 1 by 1 recreation of the original since part 1 Kitase was the one who wanted the remake games to be different

The fact that they mention Nomura so much does kinda show that they don't really follow the background that closely. Most of the stuff that's been changed came from Kitase. Nomura is the one keeping the project on track
Yeah... I think Nomura knew he went too far with KH3's ending. Time travel and alternate timelines needs to be more than a solution. FF7 is at least trying to involve it in the stakes, and even then it can still not work.
You’re in denial and taking a misltranslated quote and misinterpreting it. Nomura is the creative director of this game and his baby is advent children, which this whole games aesthetics are based on including sephiroth etc. Kitase isn’t innocent either but Nomura’s hand is all over this game. All 3 in charge love time travel so it’s hardly a shock.
